Abstract
Description
本発明の熱膨張性耐火シートは、熱膨張性耐火シートの厚みに対して1〜90%の深さを有する凹部を有し、熱膨張性耐火シート全体の面積に対する凹部の面積比率は10〜80%である。
なお、本発明において、熱膨張性耐火シートの厚みとは、熱膨張性耐火シートの幅方向に3箇所、長さ方向に3箇所の合計9箇所(3×3=9箇所)において、ノギスを用いて厚みを測定し、その平均値を算出することにより求めた平均厚みを意味する。
ここで、本発明の熱膨張性耐火シートの実施形態を図1(A)〜図8を参照しながら説明する。
本発明の熱膨張性耐火シートは、凹部が所定の深さと面積比で設けられているため、熱膨張性耐火シートが加熱されたときの膨張速度が高く、かつ加熱後の形状保持性にも優れている。
本発明の熱膨張性耐火シートは、マトリクス成分と、熱膨張性黒鉛とを含有する。
ジ−2−エチルヘキシルアジペート(DOA)、ジイソブチルアジペート(DIBA)、ジブチルアジペート(DBA)等の脂肪酸エステル可塑剤、
エポキシ化大豆油等のエポキシ化エステル可塑剤、
アジピン酸エステル、アジピン酸ポリエステル等のポリエステル可塑剤、
トリー2−エチルヘキシルトリメリテート(TOTM)、トリイソノニルトリメリテート(TINTM)等のトリメリット酸エステル可塑剤、
トリメチルホスフェート(TMP)、トリエチルホスフェート(TEP)、リン酸トリクレジル(TCP)等の燐酸エステル可塑剤、
鉱油等のプロセスオイルなどが挙げられる。
本発明の熱膨張性耐火シートは、上記マトリクス樹脂、上記熱膨張性黒鉛、及び任意選択の他の成分を混合して得られた熱膨張性樹脂組成物をシート状に成形すること、および得られたシートに凹部を設けることにより製造することができる。
本発明の熱膨張性耐火シート及び熱膨張性耐火材は、住宅(特には建具);船舶;車両;並びに電子機器等の構造体に耐火性を付与するために使用することができる。本発明の熱膨張性耐火シートは、これらの構造体の開口部又は間隙の密封及び防火のための気密材として使用することもできる。
[実施例1]
表1に示した配合量で、合成樹脂としてポリ塩化ビニル100重量部、可塑剤としてジイソデシルフタレート50重量部、熱膨張性黒鉛100重量部、および無機充填剤としてシリカ50量部をニーダーにて混合した。ポリ塩化ビニルは信越化学工業株式会社製 TK−1000、可塑剤はDIDP ジェイプラス社製 DOP、熱膨張性黒鉛は東ソー社製「GREP−EG」、無機充填剤は白石カルシウム社製「シベライトM−6000」を使用した。
その後、その混合物をシート状に押出成形し、長さ1000mm、幅500mm、厚み1mmの耐火樹脂成形体として熱膨張性耐火シートを得た。なお、表1中の各成分は明記がない限り質量部で示している。
10cm×10cmに切断した実施例1〜3および比較例1〜4の熱膨張性耐火シートを600℃で2分間加熱した後、試験片の厚さを測定し、(加熱後の試験片の厚さ)/(加熱前の試験片の厚さ)を膨張倍率として算出した。膨張倍率が10倍以上であれば○、10倍未満であれば×とした。

10cm×10cmに切断した実施例1〜3および比較例1〜4の熱膨張性耐火シートを600℃で30分間加熱した後、試験片の厚さを測定し、(加熱後の試験片の厚さ)/(加熱前の試験片の厚さ)を膨張倍率として算出した。
(形状保持性)
膨張倍率を測定した加熱後の試験片を90°に傾け、試験片が崩れず、形状保持ができたものを○、崩れてしまったものを×と評価した。
表1に示すように、実施例1〜3の熱膨張性耐火シートは膨張速度及び耐火性ともに優れていたが、比較例1,3の熱膨張性耐火シートは膨張速度が遅く、比較例2,4の熱膨張性耐火シートは耐火性が劣っていた。

- 厚みに対して1〜90%の深さを有する凹部を有し、熱膨張性耐火シート全体の面積に対する前記凹部の面積比率が10〜80%である熱膨張性耐火シート。
- 前記凹部が1又は2以上の線状、略円形、又は略四角形の凹部である請求項1に記載の熱膨張性耐火シート。
- 熱膨張性黒鉛を含有する請求項1又は2に記載の熱膨張性耐火シート。
