Abstract
Description

上述したように、第1の実施形態によるシステムや方法は、ピン及びチューブスタイルの器具を含む又は使用する。第1の実施形態による器具は、患者の上顎又は下顎の複数(又はすべて)の歯に固定するように構成されている。特定の実施形態では、第1の実施形態によるシステム及び方法は、非摺動機構を有する器具を使用する非摺動システム及び方法である。いくつかの例では、第1の実施形態による器具は、3次元(3D)デジタルOTAを3DデジタルFTAに変換し、患者の歯に力を加えて歯をOTAからFTAに(或いはITAへ、或いはITAからFTA又は他のITAへ)移すように構成された器具形状を(コンピュータ支援設計又は他の適切な設計技術を介して)設計した後に製作される。

上述したように、第3の実施形態によるシステム又は方法は、第1の実施形態と同様の構成を有するが、さらに選択的に取り外し可能に構成された器具を含む又は使用して、患者(又は臨床医)が、患者の歯に器具を選択的に設置及び取り外しができる。第3の実施形態による器具は、上述した雄型コネクタ要素の代わりに複数のキャップ(限定はしないが、アライナ、アクリル又はポリマーキャップなど)を含む。しかしながら、第3の実施形態による器具の他の特徴は、第1の実施形態の例に関して上述したように構成され、動作することができる(限定はしないが、図1〜図3、図5、図6、図16及び図17に示される例を含む)。
上述したように、第4の実施形態によるシステム又は方法は、第2の実施形態と同様の構成を有する器具を含む又は使用するが、選択的に取り外し可能に構成され、患者(又は臨床医)が、器具を患者の歯に選択的に取り付け及び取り外すことができる。第2の実施形態と同様に、第4の実施形態による器具は、キャップを介して対応する複数の歯に個別に接続するように構成された複数の別個のアームを有し、器具の各アームは、異なる個々の歯を器具の他の各アームに対して接続するように構成されている。他の例では、アライナキャップの1つ以上(又は複数のアライナキャップのそれぞれ)を、個々に2つ以上の隣接する歯に接続して、例えば、一群の歯を一斉に移動させるか、又は追加の固定を提供することができる。
本明細書に記載の実施形態によるシステム及び方法は、1つの器具を使用して歯を移動又は再配置するため、又は例えば歯科的不正咬合の合併症に応じていくつかの器具を漸進的に使用することよって使用することができる。
Claims (31)
- 患者の歯に取り付けるための器具であって、
アーチ状部材と
前記アーチ状部材に結合された、又は前記アーチ状部材に設けられた複数のばね部材と、
複数の患者の歯に固定するための、前記アーチ状部材によって支えられた複数の固定部材とを備え、
前記アーチ状部材及び前記複数のばねは、共に、長さ寸法と、長さ寸法に沿って変化する幅を有する幅寸法を有し、3次元構造に曲げられた2次元構造を含む器具。 - 各固定部材は、(a)前記患者の歯の1本以上に接合された1つ以上のそれぞれ別個の雌型コネクタ要素と係合するように構成されたそれぞれ別個の雄型コネクタ要素、又は(b)1本以上の前記患者の歯にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを備える請求項1に記載の器具。
- 前記アーチ状部材は、前記器具が前記患者の歯に設置されとき、前記患者の顎のアーチに対応して前記アーチに沿って延びるように構成され、

- 各ばね部材は、前記それぞれの前記アームのうちの1つに、前記アーチ状部材と前記アームに取り付けられた前記固定部材との間の位置に設けられる請求項6に記載の器具。
- 各固定部材は、前記固定部材が取り付けられている前記アームの前記ばね部材のいずれかの部分からも分離されており、またいずれの部分も覆っていない請求項7に記載の器具。
- 各固定部材は、前記器具が設置されたときに前記患者の歯の1本以上にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを備え、前記複数の固定部材は、前記アーチ状部材に沿って配置された複数のキャップを備え、それぞれ別個のキャップは、前記複数のキャップのうちの1つ以上の他のキャップから切り離されている請求項1に記載の器具。
- 各固定部材は、前記患者の歯の1本に接合された雌型コネクタ要素のスロットと係合するように構成されたT字形部材を備える請求項1に記載の器具。
- 患者の歯に設置する器具であって、
アーチ状部材と
前記アーチ状部材から延び、それぞれが、複数のアームのうちのそれぞれの他のアームに対して前記患者の歯の1本以上の異なる個々の歯と対応付けられた前記複数のアームと、
複数の前記患者の歯に固定するための複数の固定部材とを備え、前記複数の固定部材の個々の固定部材は、前記アームの1つ以上に取り付けられる器具。 - 前記複数の固定部材のそれぞれの固定部材は、前記複数の固定部材の他の各固定部材に対して前記アームのうちの異なる個々の1つに取り付けられている請求項11に記載の器具。
- 各固定部材は、(a)1本以上の患者の歯に接合された1つ以上のそれぞれの雌型コネクタ要素と係合するように構成されたそれぞれ別個の雄型コネクタ要素、又は(b)前記患者の歯の1本以上にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを備える請求項11に記載の器具。
- さらに前記アームのうちの1つ以上が少なくとも1つのばね部材を含むように、前記複数のアームのうちの1つ以上に結合又は設けられた複数の前記ばね部材を備える請求項11に記載の器具。
- 各ばね部材は、それぞれ1つの前記アームの、前記アーチ状部材と前記アームに取り付けられた前記固定部材との間の位置に設けられる請求項14に記載の器具。
- 各固定部材は、前記固定部材が取り付けられている前記アームの前記ばね部材のいずれかの部分からも分離されており、かついずれの部分も覆っていない請求項14に記載の器具。
- 各固定部材は、前記器具が設置されたときに前記患者の歯の1本以上にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを備え、前記複数の固定部材は、前記アーチ状部材に形成されたアーチに沿って配置された複数のキャップを備え、それぞれ別個のキャップは、前記複数のキャップのうちの1つ以上の他のキャップから切り離されている請求項11に記載の器具。
- 患者の歯に設置するための器具を製作する方法であって、
平坦なシート材料を、長さ寸法及び幅寸法を有するとともに、前記シート材料の厚さに対応する厚さを有する2次元形状構造に切断することと、
前記2次元形状構造をアーチ状部材と、前記アーチ状部材上に連結された又は設けられた複数のばね部材とを有する3次元構造に曲げることと、
複数の前記患者の歯に固定するための複数の固定部材を前記アーチ状部材上に支持することとを含む方法。 - 各固定部材は、(a)前記患者の歯の1本以上に接合された1つ以上のそれぞれの雌型コネクタ要素と係合するように構成されたそれぞれ別個の雄型コネクタ要素、又は(b)前記患者の歯の1本以上にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記アーチ状部材は、前記器具が前記患者の歯に取り付けられたとき、前記患者の顎のアーチに対応して前記アーチに沿って延びるように構成され、
前記アーチ状部材が前記患者の前記顎に沿って延びるとき、各ばね部材は、前記患者の前記顎の2本の歯の間の位置で前記アーチ状部材に沿って配置される請求項18に記載の方法。 - 切断することは、さらに、平坦なシート材料を切断して前記アーチ状部材から延びる前記患者の歯の1本以上に対応付けられた複数のアームを形成することを含み、前記複数の固定部材を支持することは、前記複数の固定部材の個々の固定部材を、他の固定部材それぞれに対して前記アームの異なる1つまたは組み合わせ上に設けることを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
- 各固定部材は、(a)前記患者の歯の1本以上に接合された1つ以上のそれぞれの雌型コネクタ要素と係合するように構成されたそれぞれ別個の雄型コネクタ要素、又は(b)前記患者の歯の1本以上にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを含む請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のばね部材の個々のばね部材は、他のばね部材に対して前記アーム異なるそれぞれ1つに沿って設けられていることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 各ばね部材は、前記アームのそれぞれ1つの、前記アーチ状部材と前記アームに取り付けられた前記固定部材との間の位置に設けられる請求項21に記載の方法。
- 複数の固定部材を支持することは、各固定部材を、前記固定部材が取り付けられた前記アームの前記ばね部材から離れ、前記ばね部材のいかなる部分にもかからない位置に支持することを含む請求項24に記載の方法。
- 複数の固定部材を支持することは、前記器具が設置されると前記患者の歯の1本以上にぴったり嵌って固定されるように構成されたそれぞれ別個のキャップを設けることと、前記キャップが前記アーチ状部材に沿って配置されるように、また、それぞれ別個のキャップが前記複数のキャップのうちの1つ以上の他のキャップから切り離されるように各キャップを支持することとを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
- 複数の固定部材を支持することは、前記患者の歯の1本に接合された雌型コネクタ要素のスロットと係合するように構成された複数のT字形部材を支持することを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記患者の歯の所望の歯列の3次元画像又はテンプレートを得ることと、
3次元画像またはテンプレートを2次元画像またはテンプレートに変換することとを含み、
前記平坦なシート材料を2次元構造に切断することは、前記2次元画像又はテンプレートに対応する形状に前記平坦なシート材料を切断することを含む請求項18に記載の方法。 - 平坦なシート材料はニチノールのシートを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記平坦なシート材料シートは、形状記憶金属のシートを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記2次元形状構造の長さ寸法又は幅寸法の少なくとも一方は、前記2次元形状構造の前記幅又は長さにわたって変化する請求項18に記載の方法。
