Abstract
Description
Claims (21)
- 吹き込み可能な断熱材料または充填材料であって、
その断熱材料または充填材料が、分離され長手方向に伸びる複数の綿状物を含み、それぞれの綿状物が複数の繊維で形成され、その綿状物が、比較的開いた広がった中間部分と、前記中間部分の両端から延びる比較的密に撚られたテール部分とを含む、吹き込み可能な断熱材料または充填材料。 - 前記複数の繊維が合成繊維である、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記複数の繊維がポリエステルを含む、請求項2に記載の材料。
- 前記複数の繊維が、0.1D〜8.0Dの範囲内のデニールを含む、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記複数の繊維が、5mm〜55mmの範囲内の長手方向の長さを含む、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記複数の繊維が、15mm以下の長手方向の長さを含む、請求項5に記載の材料。
- 前記綿状物の長手方向の長さが、2cm〜4.5cmの範囲内である、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記綿状物の前記中間部分の長手方向の長さが、0.1cm〜2cmの範囲内である、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記綿状物の前記テール部分の長手方向の長さが、0.8cm〜1.8cmの範囲内である、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記中間部分が、それに対応するテール部分のそれぞれの全幅および全厚それぞれを超える全幅および全厚を規定する、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記中間部分の全幅が、前記中間部分の全厚を超える、請求項10に記載の材料。
- 前記中間部分および前記テール部分が、前記長手方向に沿って実質的に直線的に延びる、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記中間部分のうちの少なくとも1つおよび前記テール部分のうちの少なくとも1つが、前記長手方向に沿って実質的に非直線的に延びる、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 30グラムあたり250および800立方インチの範囲内のフィルパワーを含む、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記複数の繊維が、長手方向の長さ、デニール、および組成のうちの少なくとも1つが異なる繊維を含む、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 綿状物に形成されない緩い繊維をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記綿状物のそれぞれが、約600本の総繊維〜約1,200本の総繊維の範囲内の繊維の総数を含む、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 物品であって、前記物品のコンパートメント内に位置する請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載の材料を含む、物品。
- 複数の穴を含む中空ドラムを100RPM〜400RPMの範囲内で回転させるステップであって、その複数の穴がその中空ドラムを通って延びている、前記ステップと;
前記回転するドラムの内側に真空圧を発生させるステップと;
前記回転するドラムの外面にステープル繊維を付与するステップであって、前記内側の真空によって、複数の前記ステープル繊維が複数の前記穴の中を引き通されて、複数の綿状物を部分的に形成するようにする、前記ステップと;
前記部分的に形成された綿状物を前記回転するドラム内において2分〜5分の範囲内のドウェルタイムの間で保持することによって、分離され長手方向に伸びる複数の綿状物を形成するステップであって、前記綿状物のそれぞれが、比較的開いた広がった中間部分と、前記中間部分の両端から延びる比較的密な撚られたテール部分とを含む、前記ステップと;
を含む、吹き込み可能な断熱材料または充填材料の製造方法。 - 前記ステープル繊維が、0.1D〜8.0Dの範囲内のデニールと、5mm〜55mmの範囲内の長手方向の長さとを含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記綿状物が、2cm〜4.5cmの範囲内の長手方向の長さを含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
