一実施形態では、バリア層は、まず入力粉末を作ることにより形成される。例えば、ドーパントの前駆体(例えば、CaOなどのドーパント酸化物)、SiO2、およびLn2O3(例えば、Yb2O3)を懸濁液に入れ、次いで乾燥させ、ガラスおよびドープされたケイ酸塩材料(例えば、CaでドープされたYb2Si2O7などのドープされたLn2Si2O7)の粉末混合物を形成するように熱処理することができる。最後に、スラリー処理用の入力粉末の適当な粒子サイズまで粉末混合物を粉砕することができる。スラリーは次いで、入力粉末(すなわち、ガラスおよびドープされたケイ酸塩材料の粉末混合物)を溶剤ならびに分散剤および結合剤などのスラリー処理用助剤と組み合わせることによって、入力粉末から形成される。スラリーは次いで、(例えば、いくらかの0.25インチのジルコニア媒質とともにローラミル上で回転させることによって)混合される。基材は、コーティング層を形成するようにスラリー内でディップコーティングされ、乾燥させることができる。コーティング層は次いで、10%未満の多孔率を有するコーティングを形成するように約1260℃〜約1565℃の温度で熱処理することができる。得られたコーティング層(すなわちバリア層)は、ドープされたケイ酸塩材料と通気性のケイ素含有ガラス相との混合物である。

Claims (15)
- 表面(13)を形成する基材(12)と、
前記基材(12)の前記表面(13)の耐環境性コーティング(18)であり、耐火材相およびケイ素含有ガラス相(5)を有するバリア層(14)を含む耐環境性コーティング(18)と
を備えるコーティングされた基材(12)。 - 前記耐火材相は、第1の原子百分率で希土類成分を有する希土類ケイ酸塩材料を含み、前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、前記第1の原子百分率よりも小さな第2の原子百分率で希土類成分を含む、コーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、COガス、CO2ガス、N2ガス、NOガス、NO2ガス、またはそれらの混合物を透過させる、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記バリア層(14)は、前記基材(12)の前記表面(13)に直接ある、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、前記バリア層(14)内の連続相であり、前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、前記バリア層(14)の全体積の約10%〜約65%を構成する、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、前記基材(12)の前記表面(13)に境界層を形成し、前記耐火材相は、前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)から前記バリア層(14)の反対側の表面に延びる複数の微小クラックを含む、請求項5に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)はCa−Yb−ケイ酸塩ガラスを含む、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記バリア層(14)は、約130μm以下の厚さを有し、前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、前記バリア層(14)の厚さの約10%〜100%未満を形成し、さらに前記バリア層(14)は、約10%未満の多孔率を有する、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記バリア層(14)は、Ln2SiO5(Lnは、前記Lnの位置にドーパントがドープされた希土類元素または希土類元素の混合物である)、Ln2Si2O7(Lnは、前記Lnの位置に前記ドーパントがドープされた希土類元素または希土類元素の混合物である)、またはそれらの混合物を含み、前記ドーパントは、アルカリ金属陽イオン、Cu1+、Au1+、Ag1+、貴金属陽イオン、アルカリ土類金属陽イオン、Cu2+、Ni2+、Fe2+、Mn2+、Zn2+、Sn2+、またはそれらの混合物を含み、さらに前記ドーパントは、前記耐火材相の前記希土類ケイ酸塩材料におけるよりも大きい原子百分率の前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)を有する、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- 前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、以下の化学式を有するドープされた一ケイ酸塩化合物を含み、

D4+は、Sn4+、Ge4+、Hf4+、Zr4+、Ti4+、Ce4+、またはそれらの混合物であり、

y>0かつD2+がアルカリ土類金属陽イオンでない場合に、Lnは、希土類元素または希土類元素の混合物である、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。 - 前記耐火材相の前記希土類ケイ酸塩材料は、化学式Yb2−xCaxSi2O7−δ、ここで、0.01≦x≦0.1および0≦δ≦0.2、を有する二ケイ酸塩化合物、またはその混合物を含み、前記ケイ素含有ガラス相(5)は、前記耐火材相の前記希土類ケイ酸塩材料よりも大きな原子百分率のカルシウムを含有する、請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材(12)。
- バリア層(14)を形成する方法であって、
基材(12)上にバリア層(14)を形成することを含み、前記バリア層(14)は、耐火材相およびケイ素含有ガラス相(5)を含む、方法。 - 前記バリア層(14)は、
前駆体粉末の希土類ケイ酸塩材料を、二次的な通気性のケイ素含有ガラス相(5)が前記前駆体粉末にガラスとして出現するように、オーバードープすることと、
その後に、前記前駆体粉末を前記基材(12)上に適用して前記バリア層(14)を形成することと
によって形成される、請求項13に記載の方法。 - 前記前駆体粉末は、スラリー内に適用されるかまたはプラズマスプレーとして適用される、請求項13に記載の方法。
