Abstract
Description

試料は、ASTM D1928に従って調製される。測定は、ASTM D792、方法Bを使用して行われる。
メルトインデックスまたはI2は、190℃、2.16kgでASTM D1238に従って決定される。
引張検体(ASTM D638に従って調製された)を、圧縮成形フィルムからダイカットした。検体の幅は、4.8mmとして取る。ゲージ長は、22.25mmとして取る。破断ひずみ及び応力を、周囲条件下で、100Nロードセル及び空気圧グリップを備えたINSTRON(商標)5565計器を用いて測定した。試料破損まで、500%/分(または約111.25mm/分)の一定速度で検体を延伸した。各調製したフィルムに関して5つの検体を測定して、破断ひずみ及び破断応力の平均及び標準偏差を決定した。
ソフトウェアの較正ウィザードを使用することによって、TA DSC Q1000のベースライン較正を実施した。最初に、アルミニウムDSCパン中の試料なしで、−80℃から280℃までセルを加熱することによって、ベースラインを得た。その後、ウィザードの指示に従ってサファイア標準物質を使用した。次いで、約1〜2mgの新鮮なインジウム試料を、試料を180℃まで加熱し、10℃/分の冷却速度で試料を120℃まで冷却し、続いて、試料を120℃で1分間等温的に保持し、続いて、試料を120℃から180℃まで10℃/分の加熱速度で加熱することによって分析した。インジウム試料の融解熱及び溶融の開始を決定し、溶融の開始について156.6℃から0.5℃以内、融解熱について28.71J/gから0.5J/g以内であることを確認した。次いで、DSCパン中の小滴の新鮮な試料を10℃/分の冷却速度で25℃から−30℃まで冷却することによって、脱イオン水を分析した。試料を、30℃で2分間等温的に保持し、10℃/分の加熱速度で30℃まで加熱した。溶融の開始を決定し、0℃から0.5℃以内であることを確認した。次いで、ポリマーの試料を、177°Fの温度で薄いフィルムに押圧した。約5〜8mgの試料を量り分け、DSCパン中に配置した。パン上に蓋を圧着して、閉鎖雰囲気を確実にした。試料パンをDSCセル中に配置し、次いで、約100℃/分の高速でポリマー溶融温度を約30℃超える温度まで加熱した。試料をこの温度で5分間保持した。次いで、試料を10℃/分の速度で−40℃まで冷却して、冷却曲線を生成し、その温度で5分間等温的に保持した。結果的に、溶融が完了するまで、10℃/分の速度で試料を加熱して、第2の加熱曲線を生成した。DSC溶融ピークは、−30℃と第2の加熱曲線に対する溶融の終了との間に引かれる線形ベースラインに関して、熱流速(W/g)の最大値として測定される。融解熱は、線形ベースラインを使用して、−30℃と溶融の終了との間の溶融曲線下の領域として測定される。ポリエチレン樹脂についての結晶化度%は、以下の等式を使用して計算され得る。
フィルムを、周囲条件下で、100Nロードセル及び空気圧グリップを備えたINSTRON(商標)5565計器を用いて、横断方向に測定した。4つの1インチ×5インチの検体を、キャストフィルムから切断し、各試料を、1インチのゲージ長を有する引張試験機の顎部に配置した。検体の厚さは、以下の表8に明記する。検本を50mm/分の速度で、0.05Nのプレフォースロードを達成するように、最初に延伸した。次いで、検本を250mm/分の一定速度で、200%の適用されたひずみまで伸ばし(ステップ1)、次いで、200%のひずみで30秒間保持した(ステップ2)。次いで、検本を同じ速度(250mm/分)で0%のひずみまでアンロードし(ステップ3)、次いで、60秒間保持した。(ステップ4)次いで、検本を、同じ速度(250mm/分)で200%の適用されたひずみまで再延伸し(ステップ5)、30秒間保持し(ステップ6)、同じ速度(250mm/分)で0%のひずみまでアンロードして戻し(ステップ7)、そのようにして2つのロード及びアンロードサイクルを完了した。3つの検体を、200%の最大の適用されたひずみにおいて、各フィルムに関して試験した。永久ひずみを、応力が0.1Nであった第2のロードサイクルにおいて適用されたひずみとして決定した。
フィルムを、周囲条件下で、100Nロードセル及び空気圧グリップを備えたINSTRON(商標)5565計器を用いて、横断方向に測定した。4つの1インチ×5インチの検体を、キャストフィルムから切断し、各試料を、1インチのゲージ長を有する引張試験機の顎部に配置した。検本を50mm/分の速度で、0.05Nのプレフォースロードを達成するように、最初に延伸した。次いで、標本を250mm/分の一定速度で、200%の適用されたひずみまで伸ばし、次いで、200%のひずみで30秒間保持した。次いで、検本を同じ速度(250mm/分)で0%のひずみまでアンロードし、次いで、60秒間保持した。次いで、検本を、同じ速度(250mm/分)で200%の適用されたひずみまで再延伸し、30秒間保持し、同じ速度(250mm/分)で0%のひずみまでアンロードして戻し、そのようにして2つのロード及びアンロードサイクルを完了した。少なくとも3つの試験を、各最大の適用されたひずみに関して行った。第1及び第2のロードサイクルに関して、50%のひずみレベルにおける伸長力を記録した。第1及び第2のアンロードサイクルに関して、50%のひずみレベルにおける収縮力を記録した。3つの検体を、200%の最大の適用されたひずみにおいて、各フィルムに関して試験した。第1及び第2のロード及びアンロードサイクルに関して、50%のひずみレベルにおける伸長応力及び収縮応力を記録した。
上記に開示されたポリオレフィンエラストマーのブレンドを含むフィルムの特性を研究するために、本実施例を実施した。表3Aは、ブレンドで使用した異なるコポリマーをそれらの特性と共に示す。表3Bは、表3Aに示される様々な樹脂に関する重量平均分子量、数平均分子量、及び分子量分布を示す。
実施例1と同様に、乾式ブレンドを生成し、全メルトインデックスをASTM D1238に従って約2.5グラム/10分のままにする一方で、より多くの量のINFUSE(商標)9007を含むことによって、分子量分布を広げた。30mm押出機を備えたDr.Collinキャストフィルムラインを介して、フィルムを生成した。その一連の最終ブレンドは、対照フィルム(試料番号1)と比較して、Mw/Mnによって表されるような分子量分布の有意な増加を示す(2.68対2.44)。表7が組成物を、メルトインデックスならびに分子量分布と共に示す一方で、図6は、引張応力を循環させる結果を示す(上記の実施例1に詳述された通り)。

1モル当たり120,000〜350,000グラムの重量平均分子量を有する第1のポリオレフィンエラストマーと、1モル当たり15,000〜75,000グラムの重量平均分子量を有する第2のポリオレフィンエラストマーとをブレンドして、ポリマーブレンドを形成することであって、前記ポリマーブレンドの全メルトインデックスは、190℃において2.16キログラムで、ASTM D1238に従って測定されたとき、8g/10分未満である、形成することと、
前記ポリマーブレンドをフィルムに形成することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記形成は、押出、成形、鋳造、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
