前記遠位流出口は、前記懸濁剤の流動体および粒子の両方がそれを通ることを可能にする形状または/およびサイズであり、それぞれの前記側面開口部は、患者へ前記懸濁剤を送達する間、前記懸濁剤の流動体が前記粒子無しでそれを通ることを可能にし、前記粒子がそれを通るのを阻止する形状または/およびサイズである、

前記遠位流出口は、前記懸濁剤の流動体および前記粒子の両方がそれを通ることを可能にする形状または/およびサイズであり、それぞれの前記側面開口部は、患者への前記懸濁剤の送達の間、前記懸濁剤の流動体が前記粒子無しでそれを通ることを可能にし、前記粒子がそれを通るのを阻止する形状または/およびサイズである、
懸濁剤の流動体内に懸濁した粒子を含む懸濁剤を患者に送達するカテーテルヘッド。 - 近位壁端部、遠位壁端部、および前記近位壁端部において近位吸込口へ、前記遠位壁端部において遠位流出口へ開かれた内腔を備え、カテーテルが懸濁剤貯蔵部に接合されるとき、前記内腔が前記近位吸込口を介して予め作られた懸濁剤と流体連通するのを容易にするよう構成されたチューブ状壁と、
前記近位吸込口と前記遠位流出口の間に位置し、予め作られた懸濁剤から懸濁した粒子無しに前記懸濁剤の流動体の過剰量を取り除き、それによって懸濁剤濃縮機構と前記遠位流出口の間に濃縮された懸濁剤の選択された残りの量を残すことにより、前記予め作られた懸濁剤内に懸濁した粒子の濃度を増加するよう構成された、懸濁剤濃縮機構と、を備える、
懸濁剤の流動体内に懸濁した予め作られた粒子の懸濁剤を包含する懸濁剤貯蔵部に接合可能なカテーテル。 - 前記懸濁剤濃縮機構が、前記懸濁した粒子がそれを通るのを阻止し、前記懸濁剤の流動体が前記粒子無しでそれを通るのを可能にするよう構成された懸濁剤フィルタを含む、請求項19に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記濃縮機構を持つカテーテルが、前記遠位流出口の近位の前記チューブ状壁に位置する近位流出口を通して、前記懸濁剤の流動体の取り除かれた過剰量を分散するよう構成された、請求項19または請求項20に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記過剰量が、前記懸濁剤の流動体の全容積の少なくとも約50%である、請求項19から請求項21のうちのいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記近位吸込口内へ流れる予め作られた懸濁剤の吸込流量の少なくとも半分である流出流量で濃縮された懸濁剤を送達するよう構成された、請求項19から請求項22のうちのいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記遠位流出口を通して送達可能な前記残りの量に対する前記近位流出口を通して送達可能な前記過剰量の流量比が、少なくとも2、任意選択的に特に少なくとも4、任意選択的に特に少なくとも8であるよう構成された、請求項21から請求項23のうちのいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 近位壁端部、遠位壁端部、および前記近位壁端部において近位吸込口へ、前記遠位壁端部において遠位流出口へ開かれた内腔を備え、カテーテルが懸濁剤貯蔵部に接合されるとき、前記内腔が前記近位吸込口を介して予め作られた懸濁剤と流体連通するのを容易にするよう構成されたチューブ状壁と、
前記近位吸込口と前記遠位流出口の間に位置し、第1の推進力を持つ、入ってくる懸濁剤から過剰質量を取り除き、それによって流れ抑制機構と前記遠位流出口の間に実質的に前記第1の推進力より小さい選択された第2の推進力を持つ濃縮された懸濁剤の残りの質量を残すよう構成された流れ抑制機構と、を備える、

- 前記流れ保持機構を持つカテーテルが、前記遠位流出口の近位の前記チューブ状壁に位置する近位流出口を通して、前記の入ってくる懸濁剤の前記取り除かれた過剰質量を分散するよう構成された、請求項25または請求項26に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記過剰質量と前記残りの質量の間の質量比が、少なくとも2であるように構成された、請求項25から請求項27のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1の推進力と前記第2の推進力の間の推進力比が、少なくとも3、任意選択的に特に少なくとも9、任意選択的に特に少なくとも20、任意選択的に特に少なくとも30であるように構成された、請求項25から請求項28のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記濃縮された懸濁剤を、前記遠位流出口を介して、およそ50cm/秒以下、任意選択的に特におよそ20cm/秒以下、任意選択的に特におよそ5cm/秒以下である水平成分を有する送達速度で送達するように構成された、請求項25から請求項29のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
