Abstract
Description
本発明の一形態に係る樹脂組成物は、樹脂成分、酸化亜鉛及び酢酸除去剤を含有し、上記樹脂成分がエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体(以下、「EVA」ともいう)を含み、樹脂成分中のEVAの含有量が10質量%以上であり、上記酢酸除去剤が、受酸剤、メルカプト基を有する窒素含有芳香族複素環式化合物又はこれらの組み合わせであり、上記EVAに対する上記酸化亜鉛の質量比が0.06以上0.20以下である。
以下、本発明の実施形態に係る樹脂組成物及び電線について詳説する。
本発明の実施形態に係る樹脂組成物は、樹脂成分、酸化亜鉛及び酢酸除去剤を含有している。当該樹脂組成物は、本発明の効果を損なわない範囲で、樹脂成分、酸化亜鉛及び酢酸除去剤以外の他の成分を含有していてもよい。
樹脂成分は、上述のようにEVAを含んでいる。樹脂成分は、このEVA以外に、他の重合体を含んでいてもよい。
EVAは、エチレンと酢酸ビニルとのランダム共重合体である。EVAは、エチレン単位及び酢酸ビニル単位以外に、他の単量体単位を有していてもよい。
当該樹脂組成物の樹脂成分が含んでもよいEVA以外の他の重合体としては、例えば
低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)等のポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、エチレン−プロピレン共重合体、エチレン−ブテン共重合体、エチレン−オクテン共重合体、ポリメチルペンテン(TPX)、オレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマー(TPO)などのポリオレフィン;
ポリスチレン;
ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸、ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、ポリ(メタ)アクリロニトリル等の(メタ)アクリル重合体;
ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン等のハロゲン重合体などが挙げられる。
酸化亜鉛は、ZnOの組成式で表される亜鉛の酸化物である。酸化亜鉛としては、通常、粒子状のものが用いられる。
酢酸除去剤は、受酸剤、メルカプト基を有する窒素含有芳香族複素環化合物又はこれらの組み合わせである。
受酸剤は、EVAの分解等で発生する酢酸を吸着する成分である。受酸剤としては、例えばシリカ、ハイドロタルサイト、酸化マグネシウム、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化アルミニウム等が挙げられる。受酸剤としては、通常、粒子状のものが用いられる。受酸剤は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
メルカプト基を有する窒素含有芳香族複素環式化合物(以下、「化合物(A)」ともいう)は、メルカプト基と窒素含有芳香族複素環とを有する化合物である。
2−メルカプトベンズイミダゾール、メチル置換2−メルカプトメチルベンズイミダゾール、2−メルカプトイミダゾール等の2−メルカプトイミダゾール化合物;
2−メルカプトベンゾチアゾール、メチル置換2−メルカプトチアゾールチアゾール、2−メルカプトチアゾール等の2−メルカプトチアゾール化合物などが挙げられる。
当該樹脂組成物は、他の成分として、必要に応じて、難燃剤、老化防止剤、滑剤、着色剤、架橋助剤、加工安定剤、重金属不活性化材、発泡剤、多官能性モノマー、有機過酸化物等を適宜含有することができる。上記他の成分の含有量の上限としては、50質量%が好ましく、30質量%がより好ましい。
当該樹脂組成物は、導体変色抑制性に優れ、かつ引張伸びを維持しているので、例えば電線の樹脂被覆層の材料として好適に用いることができる。
以下、当該電線について説明する。当該電線は、導体と上記導体の周囲の樹脂被覆層とを備えている。上記樹脂被覆層は、上述の当該樹脂組成物又は当該樹脂組成物の電子線架橋体から形成されている。
導体としては、材質・構成は特に限定されず、銅線、銅合金線、錫めっき銅線、アルミ線、アルミ合金線、鋼心アルミ線、カッパーフライ線、ニッケルめっき銅線、銀めっき銅線、銅覆アルミ線等の種々のものを用いることができる。これらの中で、銅線、銅合金線、錫めっき銅線、ニッケルめっき銅線、銀めっき銅線、銅覆アルミ線等の銅を含む導体である場合、上述の導体変色抑制性に優れる当該樹脂組成物を用いる利益が特にが大きい。
樹脂被覆層は、上記導体の周囲に配設され、上述の当該樹脂組成物又は当該樹脂組成物の電子線架橋体から形成されている。

EVA:東ソー社の「ウルトラセン6M51A」(酢酸ビニル単位含有率15質量%、密度0.94g/cm3)
HDPE:プライムポリマー社の「ハイゼックス5305E」
堺化学工業社の「酸化亜鉛1種」
(受酸剤)
シリカ:日本アエロジル社の「アエロジル200V」
(化合物(A))
住友化学社の「スミライザーMB」
(難燃剤)
1,2−ビス(2,3,4,5,6−ペンタブロモフェニル)エタン:アルベマール社の「SAYTEX8010」
三酸化アンチモン:日本精鉱社の「PATOX−M」
(老化防止剤)
BASF社の「イルガノックス1010」
(滑剤)
ステアリン酸:日油社の「ステアリン酸さくら」
(架橋助剤)
DIC社の「TD1500s」
表1に示す配合組成となるように混合し、混練機を用いて、樹脂組成物を調製した。
得られた試験例1〜16の樹脂組成物について、下記項目の評価を行った。
導体(材質:銅合金(Cu−0.3質量%Sn)、素線本数:60、素線径:0.08mm)に、上記調製した樹脂組成物を電線の外径が1.45mmになるよう押出被覆した後、180kGyの電子線照射により架橋を行い、電線を作製した。得られた電線を、70℃、湿度85%の条件下に24時間保持し、取り出した後、樹脂被覆層を除去して、導体の外観を確認し、導体変色抑制性を評価した。導体変色抑制性は、黒色部が確認できない場合は「A(良好)」と、黒色部が確認できた場合は「B(不良)」と評価した。
上記得られた電線の樹脂被覆層について、JASO D618に準じて引張試験を行った。引張伸びは、300%以上である場合は「良好」と、300%未満である場合は「不良」と評価できる。
Claims (7)
- 樹脂成分、酸化亜鉛及び酢酸除去剤を含有し、
上記樹脂成分がエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体を含み、樹脂成分中のエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体の含有量が10質量%以上であり、
上記酢酸除去剤が、受酸剤、メルカプト基を有する窒素含有芳香族複素環式化合物又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
上記エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体に対する上記酸化亜鉛の質量比が0.06以上0.20以下である樹脂組成物。 - 上記酸化亜鉛に対する上記酢酸除去剤の質量比が0.1以上10以下である請求項1に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 上記受酸剤が、シリカ、ハイドロタルサイト、酸化マグネシウム、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化アルミニウム又はこれらの組み合わせである請求項1又は請求項2に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 上記メルカプト基を有する窒素含有芳香族複素環式化合物が、2−メルカプトイミダゾール化合物又は2−メルカプトチアゾール化合物である請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 上記樹脂成分が、ポリオレフィンをさらに含む請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 導体と上記導体の周囲の樹脂被覆層とを備える電線であって、
上記樹脂被覆層が請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の樹脂組成物から形成されている電線。 - 導体と上記導体の周囲の樹脂被覆層とを備える電線であって、
上記樹脂被覆層が請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の樹脂組成物の電子線架橋体から形成されている電線。
