Abstract
Description
図1は、実施形態に係る面状照明装置の外観の一例を示す正面図である。図1の例に示すように、実施形態に係る面状照明装置10の形状は、上面視で略矩形状である。面状照明装置10の長手方向(Y軸方向)の一端側は、第1遮光シート30aおよび第2遮光シート30bを含む遮光シート30で覆われる。また、面状照明装置10の長手方向の他端側は、第3遮光シート31aおよび第4遮光シート31bを含む遮光シート31で覆われる。そして、面状照明装置10は、遮光シート30および遮光シート31で覆われていない発光領域(有効エリアとも称される)90から光を出射する。すなわち、遮光シート30および遮光シート31により、発光領域90が規定される。本実施形態に係る面状照明装置10は、液晶表示装置のバックライトとして用いられる。かかる液晶表示装置は、例えば、スマートフォンにおいて用いられる。
上述した実施形態では、第1固定部材22が、反射シート21のLED14側の端部21a全体を床面20dに固定させる場合について説明した。しかしながら、固定部材が、反射シート21のLED14側の端部21aの一部分を床面20dに固定させてもよい。そこで、固定部材が、反射シート21のLED14側の端部21aの一部分を床面20dに固定させる場合の2つの変形例を、実施形態の第1の変形例および第2の変形例として説明する。第1の変形例および第2の変形例の説明において、上述した実施形態と同様の構成については、同一の符号を付して、説明を省略する場合がある。

Claims (8)
- 側面から入射された光を導光する導光板と、
前記側面側に配置され、前記側面に入射される光を発する光源と、
前記導光板の一方の主面に沿って広がる床面を有し、前記導光板および前記光源を収納するフレームと、
前記導光板の前記主面側に設けられ、光を反射する反射シートと、
前記反射シートと前記床面との間に設けられ、前記反射シートの前記光源側の端部の少なくとも一部分を前記床面に固定させる第1固定部材と、
を備える、面状照明装置。 - 前記第1固定部材は、前記反射シートの前記光源側の端部全体を前記床面に固定させる、請求項1に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記第1固定部材は、前記反射シートの前記光源側の端部の一部分を前記床面に固定させる、請求項1に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記フレームは、更に、前記光が前記主面から出射する方向に沿って、前記床面の端部から延びる側面を有し、
前記第1固定部材は、前記反射シートの前記光源側の端とは反対側の端と、前記側面との間に隙間が設けられた状態で、前記反射シートを前記床面に固定させる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の面状照明装置。 - 前記光源は、前記導光板の側面に入射される光を発する発光面を有し、
2つの主面を有し、一方の主面に、前記光源の前記発光面とは反対側の面が実装される基板と、
前記導光板および前記光源と前記床面との間に配置され、前記導光板と前記光源とを連結させる連結部材と、
を更に備える、請求項4に記載の面状照明装置。 - 前記導光板は、前記導光板の側面から入射された光を出射面まで導光し、前記出射面から光を出射し、
前記連結部材に、前記導光板の前記出射面とは反対側の面の少なくとも一部と、前記光源の前記床面側の面の少なくとも一部とが取り付けられる、請求項5に記載の面状照明装置。 - 前記フレームは、側面を更に有し、
前記フレームが有する前記側面に対して前記基板を固定させる第2固定部材を更に備える、請求項5又は6に記載の面状照明装置。 - 前記連結部材は、片面テープであり、前記第2固定部材は、両面テープである、請求項7に記載の面状照明装置。
