Abstract
Description
触媒のための基材は、セラミックハニカム構造又は押出成形された担体を含む自動車の触媒を調製するために典型的に使用され得る任意の材料であってよい。用語「高多孔度基材」は、約40と約80%の間の多孔性を有する基材を指し。高多孔度基材は、好ましくは、少なくとも約45%、より好ましくは、少なくとも約50%の多孔性を有し得る。高多孔度基材は、好ましくは、約75%未満、より好ましくは、約70%未満の多孔性を有し得る。ここで使用されるように、多孔性という用語は、好ましくは水銀ポロシメトリーを用いて測定されるような、総多孔性を指す。
SCR触媒は、卑金属の酸化物、モレキュラーシーブ、金属交換されたモレキュラーシーブ又はそれらの混合物であり得る。卑金属は、バナジウム(V)、モリブデン(Mo)及びタングステン(W)、クロム(Cr)、セリウム(Ce)、マンガン(Mn)、鉄(Fe)、コバルト(Co)、ニッケル(Ni)及び銅(Cu)及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択され得る。アルミナ、シリカ、ジルコニア、チタニア、セリア及びそれらの組み合わせのような耐火性金属酸化物上に担持されるバナジウムからなるSCR組成物は、モバイルアプリケーションにおいて商業的に広く使用され、かつよく知られる。典型的な組成物は、米国特許第4,010,238及び4,085,193に記載され、それらの内容全体が参照によりここに援用される。特にモバイルアプリケーションにおいて、商業的に使用される組成物は、WO3及びV2O5が5から20重量%及び0.5から6重量%のそれぞれの範囲に及ぶ濃度において分散されたTiO2を含む。これらの触媒は、バインダー及びプロモーターとして作用するSiO2及びZrO2のような他の無機材料を含有してよい。
触媒物品は、基材上にウォッシュコートを塗布しその後バキューム(vacuum)を使用し基材中にウォッシュコートを引き込むことにより、アルミナ、コハク酸、及び硝酸白金の溶液を含むウォッシュコートスラリーを、ハニカムウォールフロー基材上にコーティングすることにより、低多孔度基材(コーニング300/5、35%多孔度)上に下部層を第一に形成することにより調製された。ウォッシュコートスラリーは、7.20重量%の固体を含有し、かつ約6.0μmの粒径分布d50を有した。物品上の白金ロードは、1.99g/ft3であった。基材は、水分を除去するように乾燥し、その後、約500℃において約1時間か焼された。
触媒物品は、アルミナ、コハク酸及び硝酸白金を含むウォッシュコートスラリーをHP基材上にディップコーティングすることにより、下部層をハニカムウォールフロー基材(「HP基材」)(約50%の多孔度を有する、NGK 300/6.5 Material D)(この基材は、実施例2−5で使用された)上に第一に形成することにより調製された。ウォッシュコートスラリーは、8.61重量%の固体を含有した。下部層を有する高多孔度ハニカムウォールフロー基材(「HP基材」)は、約500℃において約1時間か焼された。
触媒物品は、高多孔度ハニカムウォールフロー基材を硝酸白金の溶液で第一に含浸し、物品上の1.97g/ft3の白金ロードを生成することにより、調製された。基材は、水分を除去するように乾燥し、その後、約500℃において約30分から約1時間か焼された。
触媒物品は、二酸化ケイ素及び硝酸白金を含むウォッシュコートスラリーをHP上にディップコーティングすることにより、高多孔度ハニカムウォールフロー基材(「HP基材」)上に下部層を第一に形成することにより調製された。ウォッシュコートスラリーは、8.61重量%の固体を含有した。物品は、1.99g/ft3の白金ロードを有した。
触媒物品は、二酸化ケイ素及び硝酸白金を含むウォッシュコートスラリーをHP基材上にディップコーティングすることにより、高多孔度ハニカムウォールフロー基材(「HP基材」)上に下部層を第一に形成することにより調製された。ウォッシュコートスラリーは、8.61重量%の固体を含有した。物品は、2.01g/ft3の白金ロードを有した。
実施例1−5の物品のそれぞれの触媒活性は、150、200、250、300、350、450及び550℃において、以下のガス組成物を使用して、物品のそれぞれの安定状態NH3の酸化活性を測定することにより、評価された。
触媒物品のそれぞれ、未処理の低多孔度基材及び未処理の高多孔度基材、の背圧は、SuperFlow SF-1020を使用して、200cfmのフローにおいて測定された。対応する未処理の基材に対する背圧の増加率は、表1に示される。
触媒物品のウォール上のSCR触媒コーティングの損失は、物品のそれぞれを、AirTXフィックスドフローノズルからの空気の流れに90psiの圧力において供することにより決定され得り、物品はノズルの面から12.7mmに配置され、かつノズルは6.7mm/sの速度において物品を横切る。3.1mm離れて連続する路は、触媒物品を横切り得る。
≦0.5%、≦0.4%、≦0.3%、≦0.2%、≦0.1%、≦0.05%又は≦0.01%の損失を有し得る。
Claims (25)
- (a)高多孔度基材のウォール中に白金、パラジウム又はそれらの混合物を含む高多孔度基材、及び(b)高多孔度基材のウォール上のSCR触媒コーティングを含む触媒物品であって、白金、パラジウム又はそれらの混合物が、金属として又は担持された白金、パラジウム若しくはそれらの混合物として、高多孔度担体のウォール中に存在する触媒物品。
- 白金、パラジウム若しくはそれらの混合物、又は担持された白金、パラジウム若しくはそれらの混合物が、高多孔度担体のウォール上のコーティングとしても存在する、請求項1に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒コーティングが、高多孔度基材のウォールの少なくとも1部分の両側部上に存在する、請求項1又は2に記載の触媒物品。
- 白金、パラジウム又はそれらの混合物が、高多孔度基材のウォールの少なくとも1部分の両側部上に存在する、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- 未処理の高多孔度基材の背圧と比較して100%以下の背圧の増加を有する、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- 高多孔度基材が約40%から約80%の多孔度を有する、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、卑金属の酸化物、モレキュラーシーブ、金属交換されたモレキュラーシーブ又はそれらの混合物である、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、バナジウム(V)、モリブデン(Mo)及びタングステン(W)、クロム(Cr)、セリウム(Ce)、マンガン(Mn)、鉄(Fe)、コバルト(Co)、ニッケル(Ni)及び銅(Cu)及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される卑金属を含む、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒がモレキュラーシーブ又は金属交換されたモレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7に記載の触媒物品。
- モレキュラーシーブ又は金属交換されたモレキュラーシーブが小細孔、中細孔、大細孔又はそれらの混合物である、請求項1から7及び9に記載の触媒物品。
- 約0.1重量%から約1重量%の白金、又は約0.1重量%から約2重量%のパラジウムを含む、請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- 少なくとも1の卑金属プロモーターを更に含む、請求項1から8及び11に記載の触媒物品。
- 少なくとも1の卑金属プロモーターが、ネオジム(Nd)、バリウム(Ba)、セリウム(Ce)、ランタン(La)、プラセオジム(Pr)、マグネシウム(Mg)、カルシウム(Ca)、マンガン(Mn)、亜鉛(Zn)、ニオブ(Nb)、ジルコニウム(Zr)、モリブデン(Mo)、スズ(Sn)、タンタル(Ta)、ストロンチウム(Sr)及びそれらの酸化物からなる群から選択される、請求項13に記載の触媒物品。
- 金属交換されたモレキュラーシーブが、触媒の総重量に対して約0.1から約20.0重量%の銅を有する銅(Cu)担持小細孔モレキュラーシーブである、請求項9の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、アルミノケイ酸塩モレキュラーシーブ、金属置換されているアルミノケイ酸塩モレキュラーシーブ、アルミノリン酸塩(AlPO)モレキュラーシーブ、金属交換されているアルミノリン酸塩(MeAlPO)モレキュラーシーブ、シリコ−アルミノリン酸塩(SAPO)モレキュラーシーブ及び金属置換されているシリコ−アルミノリン酸塩(MeAPSO)モレキュラーシーブ及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される小細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11及び14に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、ACO、AEI、AEN、AFN、AFT、AFX、ANA、APC、APD、ATT、CDO、CHA、DDR、DFT、EAB、EDI、EPI、ERI、GIS、GOO、IHW、ITE、ITW、LEV、KFI、MER、MON、NSI、OWE、PAU、PHI、RHO、RTH、SAT、SAV、SIV、THO、TSC、UEI、UFI、VNI、YUG及びZON及びそれらの混合物及び/又は連晶からなるフレームワークタイプの群から選択される小細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11、14及び15に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、CHA、LEV、AEI、AFX、ERI、SFW、KFI、DDR及びITEからなるフレームワークタイプの群から選択される小細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11及び14から16に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、AEL、AFO、AHT、BOF、BOZ、CGF、CGS、CHI、DAC、EUO、FER、HEU、IMF、ITH、ITR、JRY、JSR、JST、LAU、LOV、MEL、MFI、MFS、MRE、MTT、MVY、MWW、NAB、NAT、NES、OBW、−PAR、PCR、PON、PUN、RRO、RSN、SFF、SFG、STF、STI、STT、STW、−SVR、SZR、TER、TON、TUN、UOS、VSV、WEI及びWEN及びそれらの混合物及び/又は連晶からなるフレームワークタイプの群から選択される中細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11及び14に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、MFI、FER及びSTTからなるフレームワークタイプの群から選択される中細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11、14及び18に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、AFI、AFR、AFS、AFY、ASV、ATO、ATS、BEA、BEC、BOG、BPH、BSV、CAN、CON、CZP、DFO、EMT、EON、EZT、FAU、GME、GON、IFR、ISV、ITG、IWR、IWS、IWV、IWW、JSR、LTF、LTL、MAZ、MEI、MOR、MOZ、MSE、MTW、NPO、OFF、OKO、OSI、−RON、RWY、SAF、SAO、SBE、SBS、SBT、SEW、SFE、SFO、SFS、SFV、SOF、SOS、STO、SSF、SSY、USI、UWY及びVET及びそれらの混合物及び/又は連晶からなるフレームワークタイプの群から選択される大細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11及び14に記載の触媒物品。
- SCR触媒が、MOR、OFF及びBEAからなるフレームワークタイプの群から選択される大細孔モレキュラーシーブを含む、請求項1から7、9から11、14及び20に記載の触媒物品。
- 高多孔度基材の多孔度より低い多孔度を有する基材を含む比較物品より大きな選択性でNOxをN2へ変換する、請求項1から21の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品。
- NOxを含む排気ガスを浄化する方法であって、NOxを含む排気ガスを、請求項1から22の何れか一項に記載の触媒物品と接触させることを含む方法。
- NOxを含む排気ガスが、約150℃から約550℃の温度において請求項1から23に記載の触媒物品と接触する、請求項23に記載の方法。
- NOxをN2へと変換し、N2選択性が、高多孔度基材の多孔度より低い多孔度を有する基材を含む比較物品に由来するN2選択性より大きい、請求項23又は24に記載の方法。
