【解決手段】 発光装置は、有機発光層22を含む発光部33Lの複数を有する発光領域16Lと、ガラス基板、プラスチック基板等から成る2枚の基板31及び封止基板36を接合するシール部15を形成するシール領域15Sと、シール領域15Sの内側であって発光領域16L以外の部位にあるとともに、有機発光層22に駆動電流を供給するための配線37dが配置された非発光領域16Nと、を有する発光装置であって、シール領域15Sから非発光領域16Nにかけて配置された、配線37dを覆う有機絶縁層39を有しており、発光領域16Lは、有機絶縁層39の非配置部とされている。

Claims (5)
- 有機発光層を含む発光部の複数を有する発光領域と、
2枚の基板を接合するシール部を形成するシール領域と、
前記シール領域の内側であって前記発光領域以外の部位にあるとともに、前記有機発光層に駆動電流を供給するための配線が配置された非発光領域と、を有する発光装置であって、
前記シール領域から前記非発光領域にかけて配置された、前記配線を覆う有機絶縁層を有しており、
前記発光領域は、前記有機絶縁層の非配置部とされている発光装置。 - 前記有機絶縁層は、前記発光部との間の平面視での間隔が、1つの前記発光部の平面視における最大寸法以上である請求項1に記載の発光装置。
- 前記有機絶縁層は、その外側端縁が前記シール領域の内側に位置している請求項1または請求項2に記載の発光装置。
- 前記非発光領域は、薄膜トランジスタが配置されている請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記シール領域の外側に外部駆動制御部と接続される端子領域が配置されている請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
