Claims (3)
- 記録媒体を挟んで搬送する一対の搬送ロールと、
前記一対の搬送ロールの記録媒体搬送方向の下流側に配置され、前記記録媒体に画像を形成する画像形成手段と、
前記画像形成手段の記録媒体搬送方向の下流側に配置され、前記記録媒体を挟んで搬送しつつ該記録媒体に形成された画像を定着させる一対の定着部材と、
前記一対の搬送ロールと前記一対の定着部材とをそれぞれ回転駆動する単一の駆動源と、
前記一対の搬送ロールと前記一対の定着部材との両方によって前記記録媒体を挟んで搬送するタイミングで、前記駆動源による前記一対の搬送ロールに対する回転駆動を解除する解除手段と、
を備えた画像形成装置。 - 前記駆動源によって回転駆動されている前記一対の搬送ロールの記録媒体搬送速度が、前記駆動源によって回転駆動されている前記一対の定着部材の記録媒体搬送速度よりも速くされており、
前記駆動源による前記一対の搬送ロールに対する回転駆動を解除するタイミングで、前記一対の定着部材の記録媒体搬送速度を、前記駆動源によって回転駆動されていた前記一対の搬送ロールの記録媒体搬送速度に合わせる請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記記録媒体は、厚紙とされている請求項1又は請求項2に記載の画像形成装置。
