- 正極集電体上に正極活物質層、セパレータ、負極活物質層及び負極集電体を順に積層してなる単電池セルを直列に積層してなる積層型電池を製造する装置であって、
前記単電池セルを、シール部を介して一列に連続した帯状の単電池セル連続体を供給する手段と、
前記供給された単電池セル連続体を巻き付ける回転体を含み、
前記回転体の外周部は単電池セルをそれぞれ積層するN個(Nは3以上の整数)のステージを連結してなり、
前記N個のステージの周方向長さは互いに同一であり、
前記N個のステージのうちいずれか一つのステージの、周方向と直交する一辺が、隣接するステージの面よりも前記単電池セル連続体の厚さに応じた量だけ径方向に突出してなるよう形成されている積層型電池の製造装置。 - 前記単電池セル連続体の前記シール部の長さは、単電池セルのN個ごとにΔL/N(ただしΔLは、前記回転体に巻回される前記単電池セル連続体の一つ前の周と現在の周との長さの差)だけ長くなるよう形成されている請求項1に記載の積層型電池の製造装置。

- 前記ステージは、外周へ向けて凸となる曲面として形成されてなる、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の積層電池の製造装置。
- 前記ステージは、積層電池の形状に合わせた曲面状に形成されてなる、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の積層電池の製造装置。
- 前記被切断体を、前記ステージに押圧する押圧装置をさらに有する、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の積層電池の製造装置。
