Abstract
Description
前記連通路は、前記ナトリウム容器内に延び前記ナトリウム容器内に開口する細孔部を有することを特徴とする。
本実施形態のナトリウム−硫黄電池の縦断面図を図1に、側面断面図を図2に示す。図1のA−A断面図が図2で、図2のB−B断面図が図1となる。図1および図2に示すように、本実施形態のナトリウム−硫黄電池は、電池本体部1とナトリウム容器2とを主な構成部品とする。
実施形態2のナトリウム−硫黄電池1の縦断面図を図3に示す。本実施形態のナトリウム−硫黄電池は、実施形態1と基本的には同様の作用効果を有する。従って、実施形態1と異なる部分を中心に説明する。

Claims (5)
- 固体電解質のβアルミナで形成された隔壁と、該隔壁の一方の側に形成された陽極室と、該隔壁の他方の側に形成された陰極室と、該陽極室に収納された硫黄と、該陰極室に収納された一部のナトリウムと、残りの大部分のナトリウムを収納するナトリウム容器と、該陰極室と該ナトリウム容器とを連通する細孔部からなる連通路と、を有するナトリウム−硫黄電池であって、
前記連通路は、前記ナトリウム容器内に延び前記ナトリウム容器内に開口する細孔部を有することを特徴とするナトリウム−硫黄電池。 - 固体電解質のβアルミナで形成された隔壁と、該隔壁の一方の側に形成された陽極室と、該隔壁の他方の側に形成された陰極室と、該陽極室に収納された硫黄と、該陰極室に収納された一部のナトリウムと、残りの大部分のナトリウムを収納するナトリウム容器と、該陰極室と該ナトリウム容器とを連通する細孔部からなる連通路と、を有するナトリウム−硫黄電池であって、
前記連通路は、細狭部と前記ナトリウムより密度が高く前記硫黄及び硫化ナトリウムより密度の低いフロートとを有し該フロートが該硫黄又は該硫化ナトリウムにより浮上して該細狭部を閉じる閉止手段を有することを特徴とするナトリウム−硫黄電池。 - 前記細孔部は細管で構成されている請求項1または2に記載のナトリウム−硫黄電池。
- 前記隔壁は板状体であり、該板状体の内部に前記陰極室が形成されており、該板状体の外周側に前記陽極室が形成されている請求項1〜3の1項に記載のナトリウム−硫黄電池。
- 前記隔壁は上端開口で下端が閉じた管状体であり、前記ナトリウム容器は少なくとも下方部分が該管状体の内側に位置し、該管状体の内周面と該ナトリウム容器の下方の外周面との間に前記陰極室が形成されている請求項1〜3の1項に記載のナトリウム−硫黄電池。
