Abstract
Description
− ポリビニル、ポリオレフィン、ポリエステル、ポリアセテート、
− ポリビニル、ポリオレフィンおよび/またはポリエステルのコポリマー
− ポリアセテート、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリプロピレンおよび/またはエチルビニルアセテート
のうちの少なくとも1種を含んでなってもよい。
− アクチニウム、アンチモン、バリウム、ビスマス、臭素、カドミウム、セリウム、セシウム、金、ヨウ素、インジウム、イリジウム、ランタン、鉛、水銀、モリブデン、オスミウム、白金、ポロニウム、レニウム、ロジウム、銀、ストロンチウム、タンタル、テルル、タリウム、トリウム、スズ、ウォルフラム、およびジルコニウム
の少なくとも1種を含んでなってもよい。
放射線不透過材を含む市販の複合フィラメント(Roney Industri AB(Vellinge,Sweden)製のRONH 1030−785/2、ポリ塩化ビニルと添加剤とのマトリックス中に61%の硫酸バリウムからなり、0.7mmの直径を有する)を用いて、本発明の実施形態に基づく放射線防護材料を作製した。放射線防護材料を形成しできるだけ高い放射線防護を有する空気透過性の織物材料を実現するために、斜文織に織成して、フィラメントを規則的なパターンに構造化した。実施例1に使用した経糸は、放射線不透過性物質を添加していないモノフィラメントポリプロピレン(Nm30)であった。その斜文織は、織物材料1cm当たり20本の緯糸で構成され、1層当たりの表面重量は、本実施例において、1.59kg/m2であった。
放射線不透過材を含む市販の複合フィラメント(Saxa Syntape GmbH(Luebnitz,Germany)製のBarilen 60、ポリエステルのフィラメントにより支持される、ポリプロピレンマトリックスに分散させた60%の硫酸バリウムのマルチフィラメント糸条である)を用いて、本発明の実施形態に基づく放射線防護材を作製した。繊維寸法2800〜3200m/kgでフィラメント30本が存在し、硫酸バリウム含有のポリプロピレン繊維の単一のモノフィラメントは、約0.06mmの直径を有した)。放射線防護材料を形成し、できるだけ高い放射線防護を有する空気透過性の織物材料を実現するために、斜文織に織成して、フィラメントを規則的なパターンに構造化した。実施例2で使用した経糸は、放射線不透過性物質を添加していない綿(Nm32/2)であった。斜文織は、織物材料1cm当たり20本の緯糸で構成され、1層当たりの表面重量は、本実施例において、0.92kg/m2であった。
別の実施形態の方法において、その方法は、本明細書に記載される他の実施形態と別々に提供されてもよく、放射線防護の空気不透過性シート(キャストシートと呼ばれることもある)をフィラメントに再加工する。従って、本発明の実施形態に基づく放射線防護材料を生産するために、所望の特性(例えば、通気性)を伴わない市販の材料を使用してもよい。その方法は、放射線防護の空気不透過性シートを細断することを含んでなる。次に、未使用のポリマーおよび未使用の放射線防護材料と部分的に一緒に、またはいかなる未使用の材料も全く加えないで、細断した放射線防護材料をフィラメントに押出成形する。その後、織成または編成技法を用いて上で検討したように、フィラメントを布帛に加工する。本実施形態の一実施例において、結果から、この方法を用いて提供されるフィラメントを含んでなる織布を通るX線の吸収性は、驚くほど良好に機能し、市販の材料の性能に非常に近いことがわかった。
参照コードFSLF0125/1200/U/NTを有する放射線防護材料(Kemmetech Ltd(Unit 4 Arnold Business Park,Branbridges Rd,East Peckham,Kent,TN12 5LG,UK)製)を購入した。その材料を鉛無含有のビニルシートと特定する。一対の鋏を用いてシートを断片に細断した後、およそ摂氏170度の温度で押出機に供給した。非常に小さい張力で繊維を水浴に通した後、ロール上に巻き付けた。繊維の直径を0.76mmまで測定した。次に、Dornier製の装置を用いて、繊維を斜文織の布帛に織成した。最終布帛は、放射線防護材料の繊維を1センチメートル当たり22本有した。Philips Super8CP発電機を用いて、上の実施例に従って、放射線の吸収度を測定した。放射線照射の90%を吸収するために、鉛無含有のビニルシート(Kemmetech Ltd製)3.48kg/m2が必要とされ、一方、上述のように加工した布帛3.61kg/m2が必要であった。性能の低下は、不活性の経糸の糸条が布帛に必要であることだけではなく、多少の放射線を通過させるように布帛に空隙が存在することにも部分的に関連する。しかしながら、重量の増大は、得られる他の利点(通気性および折り曲げに対する耐久性等)を考慮に入れると、比較的小さい。
市販の放射線防護材料を細断することを含んでなる方法を用いて作製したフィラメントを使用して、布帛の様々な組成を提供した。組成を試験して、放射線の吸収度において評価した。表1は、全ての試料が、上で特定したように製造した布帛であり、フィラメントが、60重量%までの金属をその塩の形態でまたは酸化物の形態で含んでなる場合のいくつかの結果を示す。マトリックスは、エチルビニルアセテート(EVA)であり、その効率は、被ばく放射線(100kVおよび10mA)の90%を吸収するのに必要とされる表面重量であるように決定される。2種の試料(試料Aおよび試料B)を測定し、結果を表1に示す。測定により、金属として、酸化ウォルフラム(タングステン)、硫酸バリウム、さらに酸化スズを元素の形態で、酸化物の形態で、合金として、または塩の形態で用いて、十分な吸収度を得ることがわかる。
Claims (15)
- 放射線防護材料であって、
放射線不透過性物質を含む複合フィラメントを有する繊維材料を含んでなり、前記フィラメントが規則的なパターンに構造化されて、前記放射線防護材料を形成する材料。 - 前記複合フィラメントが、前記放射線不透過性物質を含む複合材を含んでなり、前記放射線不透過性物質が、前記複合材内で混合され、および前記複合材内でほぼ均等に分布される請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記放射線不透過性物質が、前記フィラメントの中心から表面に前記フィラメントの横断面の全体にわたってほぼ均等に分布される請求項2に記載の材料。
- 前記複合フィラメントの各フィラメントが、均質フィラメントである請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の材料。
- 前記放射線不透過性物質が、1種または数種の異なる金属を、酸化物の形態で、元素形態で、合金として、または塩の形態で、有機ポリマーと組み合わせて含んでなる請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の材料。
- 前記有機ポリマーが、
− ポリビニル、ポリオレフィン、ポリエステル、ポリアセテートの少なくとも1種、および/または
− ポリビニル、ポリオレフィンおよび/またはポリエステルのコポリマーの少なくとも1種、および/または
− ポリアセテート、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリプロピレンおよび/またはエチルビニルアセテートの少なくとも1種を含んでなり;および
前記金属が、元素の形態で、酸化物の形態で、合金として、または塩の形態で、
− アクチニウム、アンチモン、バリウム、ビスマス、臭素、カドミウム、セリウム、セシウム、金、ヨウ素、インジウム、イリジウム、ランタン、鉛、水銀、モリブデン、オスミウム、白金、ポロニウム、レニウム、ロジウム、銀、ストロンチウム、タンタル、テルル、タリウム、トリウム、スズ、ウォルフラム、およびジルコニウム
の少なくとも1種を含んでなる請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の材料。 - 前記フィラメントの前記放射線不透過性物質の量が、前記フィラメントの総重量の25重量%を超え、かつ前記フィラメントの90重量%未満であり、および前記フィラメントの残りの部分が、プロセス用添加剤と染料とを含む有機マトリックスを含んでなる請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の材料。
- 前記繊維材料の構造が、前記材料を通して空気を透過させ、単層の前記放射線防護材料の透気度は、20mm/s〜2000mm/s、好ましくは50mm/s〜1500mm/s、さらに好ましくは100mm/s〜750mm/sの範囲である請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の材料。
- 前記繊維材料の前記構造が、織成の規則的なパターンである請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の材料。
- 経糸および緯糸のうちの少なくとも一方が、前記放射線不透過性物質を含んでなる請求項9に記載の材料。
- 前記緯糸が、再利用の放射線防護服から作製されたフィラメントを含んでなり、および前記経糸が、非放射線防護材料を含んでなる請求項10に記載の材料。
- 前記経糸および前記緯糸が、前記放射線不透過性物質を含んでなる請求項10に記載の材料。
- 放射線防護に使用される衣服であって、1層または数層の請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の放射線防護材料を含んでなり、任意選択的に、医療用衣服である衣服。
- 衣服を洗濯する方法であって、
1層または数層の放射線防護材料を含む衣服を提供する工程であって、前記放射線防護材料は、放射線不透過性物質を含む複合材の複合フィラメントを有する繊維材料を含んでなり、前記放射線不透過性物質は、前記複合材内で混合され、および前記複合材内にほぼ均等に分布され、前記フィラメントは、規則的なパターンに構造化されて前記放射線防護材料を形成する工程と、
水および合成洗剤の少なくとも1つ等の洗濯液で前記衣服を洗濯する工程と
を含んでなる方法。 - 請求項14に記載の方法であって、
洗濯中に前記衣服を繰り返し折り曲げる工程と、
前記折り曲げた衣服を洗濯する工程と
を含んでなる方法。
