Claims (20)
- 近位端、遠位端、およびそれらの間に延びる流体通路を有するカテーテルアダプタと、
遠位端および近位端を有するカテーテルであって、当該カテーテルの近位端が前記カテーテルアダプタの遠位端に結合され、前記流体通路と流体連通する内腔を有するカテーテルと、
前記流体通路内に配置され、これにより前記流体通路を前方室及び後方室に分割する隔壁であって、スリットを有する隔壁と、
基部、先端部、およびその間に延びる本体を有する針であって、当該針の前記本体は、当該針の先端部が前記カテーテルの遠位端を越えて遠位に延びるように前記流体通路および前記内腔の内部に配置され、当該針の本体は、前記隔壁の前記スリットを通じて挿入されている針と、
前記針の前記本体の外表面に適用されている抗菌性潤滑剤と、を備え、
前記隔壁の前記スリットからの針の除去に従い、前記スリットが前記針の外表面から前記抗菌性潤滑剤の一部を除去し、前記隔壁における前記スリットの近傍位置に前記抗菌性潤滑剤の堆積を形成することを特徴とするカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記針は導入針である、請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記スリットは、三叉スリット構造を備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌性潤滑剤は、水溶性の潤滑剤、不溶性の潤滑剤、粘性ゲルの潤滑剤、固体の潤滑剤のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌性潤滑剤は、ポリジメチルシロキサン、ポリトリフルオロプロピルメチルシロキサン、またはジメチルシロキサンとトリフルオロプロピルメチルシロキサンとの共重合体のような油性潤滑剤を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌性潤滑剤は、抗菌剤を含む、請求項1に記載の前記カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌剤は、クロルヘキシジン二塩酸塩、グルコン酸クロルヘキシジン、クロルヘキシジン・アセテート、クロルヘキシジン・ジアセテート、トリクロサン、クロロキシレノール、塩化デカリニウム、塩化ベンゼトニウム、及び塩化ベンザルコニウムのうちの少なくとも一つである、請求項6に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌性潤滑剤は、不安定溶媒成分、アルコール成分、および抗菌剤のうちの少なくとも1つをさらに含む、請求項5に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌剤は、非アルコール系抗菌剤である、請求項5に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 重合体成分が水に不溶である、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 重合体成分が水溶性である、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌剤は、約0.01%(重量/体積)から約5.0%(重量/体積)、約0.001%(重量/体積)から約5.0%(重量/体積)、約0.01%(重量/体積)から約10.0%(重量/体積)のうちから選択された少なくとも1つの範囲の量で存在する、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記抗菌剤は、クロルヘキシジン二塩酸塩、グルコン酸クロルヘキシジン、クロルヘキシジン・アセテート、クロルヘキシジン・ジアセテート、トリクロサン、クロロキシレノール、塩化デカリニウム、塩化ベンゼトニウム、及び塩化ベンザルコニウムのうち少なくとも一つである、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記アルコール成分は、1から6個の炭素原子を有する低級アルコールを含む請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記アルコール成分は、前記抗菌性潤滑剤中に20%(重量/体積)にほぼ等しい量存在する、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリである。
- 前記アルコール成分は、イソプロピルアルコールとエタノールの混合物を含み、かつ前記抗菌性潤滑剤中に約40%(重量/体積)から約95%(重量/体積)の量存在する、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記不安定溶媒は、前記抗菌性潤滑油中に約20%(重量/体積)から約95%(重量/体積)の量存在する有機溶媒を含む、請求項8に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- カテーテルアセンブリの隔壁に抗菌性潤滑剤を適用するための方法であって、
針の外表面に抗菌性潤滑剤を適用するステップと、
前記カテーテルアセンブリ内に配置された隔壁のスリットを通じて、被覆された前記針を挿入するステップと、
前記隔壁の前記スリットから前記針を引き抜くステップであって、前記スリットの近傍位置の前記隔壁上に前記抗菌性潤滑剤の堆積物を形成するために、前記スリットが前記針の外表面から前記抗菌性潤滑剤の一部を除去するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記スリットが三叉スリット構造を備えることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記抗菌剤は、水溶性の潤滑剤、不溶性の潤滑剤、粘性ゲルの潤滑剤、および固体の潤滑剤のうち少なくとも1つを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
