Abstract

<蓄電体の構成>
本発明の一態様の蓄電体100の構成例について、図面を用いて説明する。図1(A)は蓄電体100の外観を示す斜視図である。また、図1(A)にX軸方向、Y軸方向、およびZ軸方向を示す矢印を付している。X軸方向、Y軸方向、およびZ軸方向は、それぞれが互いに直交する方向である。図1(B)は蓄電体100をZ軸方向から見た図(正面図)である。図1(C)は蓄電体100をY軸方向から見た図(側面図)である。

正極集電体101a上に正極活物質層101bを形成した後、正極集電体101aの正極タブに、封止層115を有する正極リード104を接続する(図11(A)参照)。正極タブと正極リード104は、圧力を加えながら超音波を印加して電気的に接続する(超音波溶接)。
次に、蓄電体を構成する負極の一例について、図12を用いて説明する。図12に負極102を例示する。図12(A)は負極102の正面図であり、図12(B)および図12(C)は、図12(A)中でA3−A4の一点鎖線で示した部位の断面図である。負極102は、負極集電体102aと、負極集電体102a上に形成された負極活物質層102bなどにより構成される。図12(B)は、シート状の負極集電体102aの一方の面に負極活物質層102bを設ける例を示している。
図12(C)は、シート状の負極集電体102aの両面に負極活物質層102bを設ける例を示している。負極活物質層102bを負極集電体102aの両面に設けることで、蓄電体100の充放電容量を大きくすることができる。また、負極集電体102aの一方の面に負極活物質層102bを設けた負極102を2つ用意し、それぞれの負極102の、負極活物質層102bが形成されていない面を向い合うように重ねて用いてもよい。
負極集電体102a上に負極活物質層102bを形成した後、負極集電体102aの負極タブに、封止層115を有する負極リード105を接続する。負極タブと負極リード105の接続は、正極タブと正極リード104の接続と同様に行うことができる。
セパレータ103を形成するための材料として、セルロースや、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリエチレン(PE)、ポリブテン、ナイロン、ポリエステル、ポリスルホン、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、テトラフルオロエチレン等の多孔性絶縁体を用いることができる。また、ガラス繊維等の不織布や、ガラス繊維と高分子繊維を複合した隔膜を用いてもよい。
二次電池の構造としては、様々な構造があるが、本実施の形態では、外装体107の形成にシート状の部材を用いる。例えば、フィルムを用いる。なお、外装体107を形成するためのフィルムは金属フィルム(アルミニウム、ステンレス、ニッケル鋼など)、有機材料からなるプラスチックフィルム(熱可塑性フィルム)、有機材料(有機樹脂や繊維など)と無機材料(セラミックなど)とを含むハイブリッド材料フィルム、炭素含有無機フィルム(カーボンフィルム、グラファイトフィルムなど)から選ばれる単層フィルムまたはこれら複数からなる積層フィルムを用いる。
次に、減圧雰囲気下、或いは不活性ガス雰囲気下で所望の量の電解液106を他方の開口部119から外装体107の内側に入れる。
上記実施の形態で説明した材料を含む二次電池と組み合わせて用いることができる電池制御ユニット(Battery Management Unit:BMU)、及び該電池制御ユニットを構成する回路に適したトランジスタについて、図23乃至図29を参照して説明する。本実施の形態では、特に直列に接続された電池セルを有する蓄電装置の電池制御ユニットについて説明する。
トランジスタBT32のソース又はドレインの他方、及びトランジスタBT33のソース又はドレインの他方は、トランジスタ対BT31の一端と接続している。
本発明の一態様に係る蓄電体は、電力により駆動する様々な電子機器の蓄電装置に用いることができる。図30乃至図33に、本発明の一態様に係る蓄電装置を用いた電子機器の具体例を示す。

Claims (16)
- 外装体と、正極と、負極と、セパレータと、電解液とを有する蓄電体であって、
前記正極、前記負極、前記セパレータ、および前記電解液は前記外装体で囲まれ、
前記外装体は、稜線が第1の方向に伸びる凸部と、谷線が第2の方向に伸びる凹部と、を有し、
前記稜線または前記稜線の延長線と、前記谷線または前記谷線の延長線が交差することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項1において、
前記稜線は、前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第2の方向に沿って重なる領域を有することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、
前記谷線は、前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第1の方向に沿って重なる領域を有することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 外装体と、正極と、負極と、セパレータと、電解液とを有する蓄電体であって、
前記正極、前記負極、前記セパレータ、および前記電解液は前記外装体で囲まれ、
前記外装体は、
第1の方向に伸びる第1の稜線と、第1の方向に伸びる第1の谷線と、
第2の方向に伸びる第2の稜線と、第2の方向に伸びる第2の谷線と、を有し、
前記第1の稜線または前記第1の稜線の延長線は、前記第2の谷線または前記第2の谷線の延長線と交差し、
前記第1の谷線または前記第1の谷線の延長線は、前記第2の両稜線または前記第2の稜線の延長線と交差することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項4において、
前記第1の稜線は、前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第2の方向に沿って重なる領域を有し、
前記第1の谷線は、前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第2の方向に沿って重なる領域を有することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項4または請求項5において、
前記第2の稜線は、前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第1の方向に沿って重なる領域を有し、
前記第2の谷線は、前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第1の方向に沿って重なる領域を有することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一項において、
前記第1の方向と前記第2の方向は、直交することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 外装体と、正極と、負極と、セパレータと、電解液とを有する蓄電体であって、
前記正極、前記負極、前記セパレータ、および前記電解液は前記外装体で囲まれ、
前記外装体は、第1の面乃至第4の面を有し、
前記第1の面は第1の方向に伸びる第1の稜線を有し、
前記第2の面は第2の方向に伸びる第1の谷線を有し、
前記第3の面は第3の方向に伸びる第2の稜線を有し、
前記第4の面は第4の方向に伸びる第2の谷線を有し、
前記第1の稜線または前記第1の稜線の延長線、および、前記第2の稜線または前記第2の稜線の延長線は、
前記第1の谷線または前記第1の谷線の延長線、および、前記第2の谷線または前記第2の谷線の延長線と交差することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項8において、
前記第1の稜線および前記第2の稜線は、
前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第2の方向および前記第4の方向に沿って重なる領域を有することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項8または請求項9において、

前記正極、前記負極、および前記セパレータと、前記第1の方向および前記第3の方向に沿って重なる領域を有することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項8乃至請求項10のいずれか一項において、
前記第1の方向と前記第3の方向は、平行であることを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項8乃至請求項11のいずれか一項において、
前記第2の方向と前記第4の方向は、平行であることを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項8乃至請求項12のいずれか一項において、
前記第1の方向または前記第3の方向の少なくとも一方は、
前記第2の方向または前記第4の方向の少なくとも一方と直交することを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項1乃至請求項13のいずれか一項において、
前記外装体は、金属フィルムと熱可塑性フィルムの積層であることを特徴とする蓄電体。 - 請求項1乃至請求項14のいずれか一項に示す蓄電体を有する電子機器。
- 請求項15において、
前記蓄電体が電子機器の筐体の変形に従って変形する電子機器。
