Abstract
Description
以下、図1〜図3を参照して、第1実施形態について説明する。
図1に示すように、オイルセパレータ10は、内燃機関のクランク室内のブローバイガスを吸気通路に還流する還流通路に設けられるものであり、例えばナイロン66などの電気絶縁性の硬質樹脂材料によって形成されたケース11を有している。
ガス流入口23を通じてケース11内に導入されたブローバイガスは、ガス流出口24に向けて移動する。
(1)オイルセパレータ10のケース11の内部には、複数の電極板40が互いに間隔をおいて対向配置されている。各電極板40の間には、電気絶縁材料によって形成されたフィルタ50が介設され、且つ電位差を付与することが可能とされている。
以下、第2実施形態について説明する。
本実施形態では、フィルタ50を構成する繊維51の表面に、繊維51の母材であるポリエステルよりも電気抵抗率の高い材料が設けられている点が、先の第1実施形態と相違している。こうした材料としては、例えばフッ素含有材であるポリフッ化エチレンが好ましい。ポリエステルの電気抵抗率が10^14Ω・mであるのに対して、ポリフッ化エチレンの電気抵抗率は10^16〜10^17Ω・mである。
(2)フィルタ50を構成する繊維51の表面には、繊維51の母材であるポリエステルよりも電気抵抗率が高い材料であるポリフッ化エチレンが設けられている。
以下、第3実施形態について説明する。
本実施形態では、フィルタ50の繊維51に、繊維51の母材であるポリエステルよりも比誘電率の高い材料が含まれている点が、先の第1実施形態と相違している。こうした材料としては、例えば酸化チタンが好ましい。ポリエステルの比誘電率が約2であるのに対して、酸化チタンの比誘電率は約83である。
(3)フィルタ50を構成する繊維51には、同繊維51の母材であるポリエステルよりも比誘電率が高い材料である酸化チタンが含まれている。
以下、第4実施形態について説明する。
本実施形態のフィルタ50の繊維51には、繊維51の母材であるポリエステルに加えて、チタン酸バリウムが含まれている。チタン酸バリウムの比誘電率は約5000である。
なお、上記実施形態は、例えば以下のように変更することもできる。
・フィルタ50を構成する繊維51はポリエステルによって形成されるものに限定されない。他に例えば、ポリエステルと同等の電気抵抗率及び比誘電率を有するポリエチレンやポリスチレン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンなどに変更することもできる。
Claims (4)
- 内燃機関のブローバイガスをケース内に導入してオイルと分離し、その分離されたオイルを同ケース外に排出するオイルセパレータにおいて、
前記ケースの内部には、複数の電極板が互いに間隔をおいて対向配置され、
前記電極板の各々の間には、電気絶縁材料によって形成されたフィルタが介設され、且つ電位差を付与することが可能とされている、
オイルセパレータ。 - 前記フィルタは電気絶縁材料である樹脂の繊維によって形成されている、
請求項1に記載のオイルセパレータ。 - 前記繊維の表面には、前記樹脂よりも電気抵抗率が高い材料が設けられている、
請求項2に記載のオイルセパレータ。 - 前記繊維には、前記樹脂よりも比誘電率が高い材料が含まれている、
