Abstract
【解決手段】内燃機関100の排気通路110に配置されて排気中に含まれる粒子状物質量を検出するセンサ10の診断装置であって、内燃機関100の燃料噴射量が予め設定した噴射量閾値以下である期間に、センサ10が検出した粒子状物質量の時間変化率を求める時間変化率演算部2と、時間変化率演算部2が求めた粒子状物質量の時間変化率を基に、センサ10の異常を判定する異常判定部3と、を備えたものである。

Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に配置されて排気中に含まれる粒子状物質量を検出するセンサの診断装置であって、
前記内燃機関の燃料噴射量が予め設定した噴射量閾値以下である期間に、前記センサが検出した粒子状物質量の時間変化率を求める時間変化率演算部と、
前記時間変化率演算部が求めた前記粒子状物質量の時間変化率を基に、前記センサの異常を判定する異常判定部と、
を備えたことを特徴とする診断装置。 - 前記センサは、前記排気通路に配置されて排気中の粒子状物質を捕集するセルを含むフィルタ部材に、前記セルを挟んで対向配置されてコンデンサを形成する少なくとも一対の電極を設け、前記一対の電極間の静電容量に基づいて排気中の粒子状物質量を推定する推定手段を備えた静電容量式のセンサであり、
前記時間変化率演算部と前記異常判定部は、前記粒子状物質量の時間変化率として、前記一対の電極間の静電容量の時間変化率を用いるように構成される
請求項1記載の診断装置。 - 排気ガスの温度を検出する排気ガス温度検出手段を備え、
前記異常判定部は、前記一対の電極間の静電容量の時間変化率を、前記排気ガス検出手段が検出した排気ガスの温度で補正した値と、予め設定した変化率閾値とを比較することで、前記センサの異常を判定するように構成される
請求項2記載の診断装置。 - 前記噴射量閾値が0であり、
前記時間変化率演算部は、燃料噴射量が0となる燃料カット時に、前記センサが検出した粒子状物質量の時間変化率を求めるように構成される
請求項1〜3いずれかに記載の診断装置。 - 内燃機関の排気通路に配置されて排気中に含まれる粒子状物質量を検出するセンサであって、
請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の診断装置を備えた
