約0.01質量%乃至約10質量%で変えることができる。
ビスコハク酸イミド(MW1300のポリイソブテニルコハク酸無水物(PIBSA)、および重質ポリアミンとジエチレントリアミンの混合物から誘導した)1.135質量%、ビスコハク酸イミド(MW950のポリイソブテニルコハク酸無水物(PIBSA)、および重質ポリアミンとジエチレントリアミンの混合物から誘導した)1.865質量%、アルキル置換ヒドロキシ安息香酸のカルシウム塩であるカルシウムカルボキシレート(BN150)1.26質量%、ヒンダードフェノール酸化防止剤1.25質量%、硫化イソブチレン0.14質量%、銅不活性化剤0.05質量%、第一級アルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛0.19質量%、消泡剤0.02質量%を含有し、残部はII種基油である天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物を調製した。
ビスコハク酸イミド(MW1300のポリイソブテニルコハク酸無水物(PIBSA)、および重質ポリアミンとジエチレントリアミンの混合物から誘導した)1.135質量%、ビスコハク酸イミド(MW950のポリイソブテニルコハク酸無水物(PIBSA)、および重質ポリアミンとジエチレントリアミンの混合物から誘導した)1.865質量%、硫化カルシウムフェネート(BN114)1.52質量%、ヒンダードフェノール酸化防止剤1.25質量%、硫化イソブチレン0.14質量%、銅不活性化剤0.05質量%、第一級アルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛0.19質量%、消泡剤0.02質量%を含有し、残部はII種基油である天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物を調製した。
弁12個(吸気弁6個と排気弁6個)の動電圧測定値を得るために、六気筒ウォーケシャ(Waukesha)F11 GSIDエンジンを設置した。実施例1および比較例Aの潤滑油組成物について400時間の試験を実施し、そして各試験の最後300時間のデータに基づいて線形適合法により、それぞれの油での平均弁凹み摩耗率を計算して、1000時間当りの摩耗率として報告した。当該装置製造企業(OEM)が許容する最大弁凹み摩耗率は、0.0020インチ/1000時間である。第1図に示すように、カルシウムカルボキシレート清浄剤を含有する実施例1の潤滑油組成物は、カルシウムフェネート清浄剤を含有する比較例Aの潤滑油組成物(0.00065インチ)よりも、著しく改良された弁凹み(−0.00019インチ)を示した。これは、1000時間当りで0.00084インチの差を表している。少なくとも0.000416の差があれば、95%の信頼度で有意な違いがあるとみなされる。従って、カルボキシレート清浄剤の使用の結果、若干の弁成長が現れており、このことが弁凹み摩耗率が負となった理由である。
本発明は以下の態様を包含する。

下記の成分を含む天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物:
(a)主要量の潤滑粘度の油、
(b)一種以上のリン含有耐摩耗性添加剤、
(c)一種以上の無灰分散剤、
(d)一種以上のアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩、および
(e)一種以上の酸化防止剤、
ただし、上記天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物はリンを、天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.03質量パーセント以下で含み、そして上記天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物は如何なるアルカリ金属含有清浄剤も実質的に含まない。

天然ガス燃料エンジンの排気弁座凹みの発生を防止又は抑制する目的における、[1]乃至[13]のうちのいずれかの項に規定した天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物の使用。
Claims (15)
- 下記の成分を含む天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物:
(a)主要量の潤滑粘度の油、
(b)一種以上のリン含有耐摩耗性添加剤、
(c)一種以上の無灰分散剤、
(d)一種以上のアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩、および
(e)一種以上の酸化防止剤、
ただし、上記天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物はリンを、天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.03質量パーセント以下で含み、そして上記天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物は如何なるアルカリ金属含有清浄剤も実質的に含まない。 - 一種以上のリン含有耐摩耗性添加剤が、炭化水素亜リン酸エステル、炭化水素リン酸エステルおよびそれらの混合物からなる群より選ばれる請求項1に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
- 一種以上のリン含有耐摩耗性添加剤が第一級アルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛を含む請求項1又は2に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。

- 一種以上のアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩が、一種以上のアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の過塩基性アルカリ土類金属塩を含む請求項1乃至4のうちのいずれかの項に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
- 一種以上のアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩が、アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のカルシウム塩を含む請求項1乃至4のうちのいずれかの項に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のカルシウム塩が、天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物中に、天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.05乃至2.5質量%の量で存在する請求項7に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
- 一種以上の酸化防止剤がヒンダードフェノール化合物を含む請求項1乃至8のうちのいずれかの項に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
- 硫酸灰分が、ASTM D874で測定して0.15乃至0.3質量%である請求項1乃至9のうちのいずれかの項に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。

- 上記の一種以上のアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩が、天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物中で唯一の清浄剤として用いられている請求項1に記載の天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物。

- 天然ガス燃料エンジンの排気弁座凹みの発生を防止又は抑制する目的における、請求項1乃至13のうちのいずれかの項に規定した天然ガスエンジン用潤滑油組成物の使用。
