Description
製造した潤滑油組成物は、ビスコハク酸イミド(1300MWのポリイソブテニルコハク酸無水物(PIBSA)から誘導される)および重ポリアミンとジエチレントリアミンとの混合物を3.3質量%、カルシウムスルホネート(17BN)0.43質量%、硫化カルシウムフェネート(114BN)3.0質量%、ヒンダードフェノール酸化防止剤0.9質量%、消泡剤5ppmおよびII種基油に属するための調整剤を含むものであった。潤滑油組成物は、ASTM D874で測定して0.46質量%の硫酸灰分量を有していた。
実施例1の潤滑油組成物を一級アルコールから誘導したジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛0.38質量%でトップ処理することにより、潤滑油組成物を製造した。潤滑油組成物は、ASTM D874で測定して0.50質量%の硫酸灰分量を有していた。
実施例1および比較例Aの潤滑油組成物について、ワーケシャ社製F11GSIDエンジンにおいて、排気弁座の後退を防止する効果を評価した。この試験では、6気筒のワーケシャ社製F11GSIDエンジンを、12弁(6吸気および6排気弁)から動的電圧が測定できる(例えば、米国特許第4672843号明細書に記載されている)ように設定した。各試験では、90%の負荷において1800rpmで駆動させて、400時間稼働させた。吸気温度を110乃至150°Fの範囲としながら試験の間、化学量論的な条件を維持した。実施例1および比較例Aの潤滑油組成物について弁の後退摩耗速度の平均を、各試験の最後の300時間のデータを基に直線に近似することにより計算し、1000時間当たりの摩耗速度として記録した。排気弁の後退の結果を第1表に示す。この表において、弁の摩耗による後退速度が相対的に遅い場合は、排気弁座の後退の防止効果が相対的に大きいことを意味する。

Claims (7)
- 天然ガス燃料エンジンにおける排気弁座の後退を防止もしくは抑制する方法であって、(a)相対的に多量の潤滑粘度の油;および(b)相対的に少量の天然ガスエンジン油添加剤パッケージを含む潤滑油組成物で該エンジンを潤滑することを含む上記方法において、該天然ガスエンジン油添加剤パッケージが、(i)ビスコハク酸イミドを含む一種以上の無灰分散剤、(ii)100乃至450の塩基価を有する過塩基性アルカリ土類金属スルホネート又はフェネート清浄剤である第一の金属含有清浄剤、及び10乃至50の塩基価を有する過塩基性アルカリ土類金属スルホネート又はフェネート清浄剤である第二の金属含有清浄剤を含む一種以上の金属含有清浄剤、並びに(iii)一種以上の酸化防止剤を含み、該潤滑油組成物は亜鉛化合物並びにアルキレンポリアミン、アルデヒド、および置換フェノールの縮合生成物のアルカリ土類金属塩のいずれも含まず、さらに該潤滑油組成物がASTM D874で測定して0.1質量%乃至1.5質量%の硫酸灰分量を有する上記方法。
- 潤滑粘度の油が天然ガスエンジン潤滑油である請求項1の方法。
- 一種以上の酸化防止剤がヒンダードフェノール化合物である請求項1の方法。
- 潤滑油組成物が潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき:
一種以上の無灰分散剤を1質量%乃至8質量%;
一種以上の金属含有清浄剤を0.5質量%乃至8.5質量%;そして
一種以上の酸化防止剤を0.1質量%乃至3質量%;
含む請求項1の方法。 - (a)主要量の潤滑粘度の油、(b)ビスコハク酸イミドを含む一種以上の無灰分散剤、(c)100乃至450の塩基価を有する過塩基性アルカリ土類金属スルホネート又はフェネート清浄剤である第一の金属含有清浄剤、及び10乃至50の塩基価を有する過塩基性アルカリ土類金属スルホネート又はフェネート清浄剤である第二の金属含有清浄剤を含む一種以上の金属含有清浄剤、および(d)一種以上の酸化防止剤を含む天然ガスエンジン潤滑油組成物であって、該潤滑油組成物は亜鉛化合物、モリブデン含有化合物、並びにアルキレンポリアミン、アルデヒド、および置換フェノールの縮合生成物のアルカリ土類金属塩のいずれも含まず、さらに該潤滑油組成物がASTM D874で測定して0.1質量%乃至1.5質量%の硫酸灰分量を有する上記天然ガスエンジン潤滑油組成物。
- 一種以上の酸化防止剤がヒンダードフェノール化合物である請求項5の天然ガスエンジン潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき:
一種以上の無灰分散剤を1質量%乃至8質量%;
一種以上の金属含有清浄剤を0.5質量%乃至8.5質量%;そして
一種以上の酸化防止剤を0.1質量%乃至3質量%;
含む請求項5の天然ガスエンジン潤滑油組成物。
