Abstract
Description
2012年10月15日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/713,928号、2012年10月15日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/713,939号、2013年9月4日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/873,647号および2013年9月4日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/873,659号の開示はそれぞれ、全ての目的のためにその全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれるものとする。
強化界面相の観察
実施例1〜8および比較例1〜4(比較例1〜4は、それぞれの対照または現在の最新式の系)は、高樹脂弾性率および高接着力の高弾性率炭素繊維複合材料の特性への影響を示している。界面化学の異なる高弾性率炭素繊維MXおよびM40Jを用いた。
これらの例では、すでに研究されてきた系に界面材料を含有させることにより接着性組成物と高弾性率炭素繊維との接合をさらに改善させる可能性について調査した。樹脂、プリプレグおよび複合材料の機械試験を、上記例と同様の手順で行った。

変換率とは、繊維強化ポリマー複合材料において繊維の強度が有効利用されている程度を示す尺度である。繊維の実測ストランド強度と繊維強化ポリマー複合材料中の繊維体積破壊(Vf)とで実測引張強度(TS)を正規化し、下記式より算出した。なお、Vfは酸分解法により求めることができる。
Claims (29)
- 強化繊維と接着性組成物とを含む繊維強化ポリマー組成物であって、接着性組成物が少なくとも熱硬化性樹脂と硬化剤とを含み、強化繊維の引張弾性率が300GPa以上であり、接着性組成物の樹脂弾性率が3.2GPa以上であり、接着性組成物が硬化によって強化繊維と良好な接合を形成する繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 硬化剤が少なくとも1つのアミド基および少なくとも1つの芳香族基を含む請求項1に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 硬化剤が、窒素含有基、ヒドロキシル基、カルボン酸基または無水物基より選択される少なくとも1つの硬化性官能基をさらに含む請求項2に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 窒素含有基がアミン基を含む請求項3に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 硬化剤がアミノベンズアミド、ジアミノベンズアニリド、アミノベンゼンスルホンアミド、アミノテレフタルアミド、これらの誘導体、これらの異性体またはこれらの混合物を含む請求項4に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 硬化剤がアミノベンズアミドを含む請求項5に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 接着性組成物が界面材料および移動剤をさらに含み、熱硬化性樹脂の硬化の際に、界面材料が接着性組成物と強化繊維の間の界面領域において濃度勾配を形成するように界面領域内の本来の位置に集中し、強化繊維から遠く離れた場所よりも強化繊維近辺のほうが界面材料の濃度が高い請求項6に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 接着性組成物が促進剤をさらに含む請求項7に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 接着性組成物が強化材、層間強化材またはこれらの組合せの少なくとも1種をさらに含む請求項8に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 強化繊維と接着性組成物とを含む繊維強化ポリマー組成物であって、接着性組成物がエポキシ樹脂からなる熱硬化性樹脂と硬化剤とを少なくとも含み、硬化剤が1種または異なる複数の硬化剤からなり、少なくとも1種の硬化剤が少なくとも1つのアミド基、芳香族基および硬化性官能基を含み、接着性組成物が硬化によって強化繊維と良好な接合を形成する繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 硬化剤がアミノベンズアミド、アミノテレフタルアミド、ジアミノベンズアニリド、アミノベンゼンスルホンアミド、これらの誘導体、これらの異性体またはこれらの組合せを含む請求項10に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 硬化剤がアミノベンズアミドを含む請求項11に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 接着性組成物が界面材料および移動剤をさらに含み、熱硬化性樹脂の硬化の際に、界面材料が接着性組成物と強化繊維の間の界面領域において濃度勾配を形成するように界面領域内の本来の位置に集中し、強化繊維から遠く離れた場所よりも強化繊維近辺のほうが界面材料の濃度が高い請求項12に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 接着性組成物が促進剤をさらに含む請求項13に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 接着性組成物が強化材、層間強化材またはこれらの組合せの少なくとも1種をさらに含む請求項14に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 強化繊維が炭素繊維である請求項1に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 強化繊維が、表面の酸素官能基の濃度を上昇させるために表面処理された炭素繊維であり、該処理面の酸素/炭素比が少なくとも0.05である請求項1に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 強化繊維が、表面をサイジング処理した炭素繊維であり、該サイジング処理した表面の30℃における非極性表面エネルギーが30mJ/m2以上である請求項1に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物からなるプリプレグ。
- 請求項6に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物からなるプリプレグ。
- 請求項12に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物からなるプリプレグ。
- 請求項1に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物を硬化させることを含む複合材料の製造方法。
- 請求項6に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物を硬化させることを含む複合材料の製造方法。
- 請求項12に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物を硬化させることを含む複合材料の製造方法。
- 引張弾性率が300GPa以上の炭素繊維と接着性組成物とを含む繊維強化ポリマー組成物であって、接着性組成物が少なくともエポキシ樹脂、アミドアミン硬化剤、界面材料および移動剤からなり、エポキシ樹脂、アミドアミン硬化剤、界面材料および移動剤が、接着性組成物が硬化によって強化繊維と良好な接合を形成するように選択され、界面材料が強化繊維と接着性組成物の間の界面領域において濃度勾配を有する、繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- アミドアミン硬化剤が少なくとも1つの芳香族基を含む請求項25に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- アミドアミン硬化剤が、アミノベンズアミド、ジアミノベンズアニリド、アミノテレフタルアミドおよびアミノベンゼンスルホンアミドより選択される少なくとも1種の成分を含む請求項26に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 促進剤、強化材、フィラー、層間強化材またはこれらの組合せをさらに含む請求項27に記載の繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
- 強化繊維と接着性組成物とを含む繊維強化ポリマー組成物であって、接着性組成物が少なくとも熱硬化性樹脂および芳香族アミドアミン硬化剤を含み、硬化させた繊維強化ポリマー組成物が90MPa(13ksi)以上の層間せん断強度(ILSS)、70%以上の変換率の引張強度、1380Mpa(200ksi)以上の圧縮強度および350J/m2(2lb・in/in2)以上のモードI破壊靭性を有する繊維強化ポリマー組成物。
