Abstract
Description
本明細書で使用するとき、用語「プラスチック」とは、一般に加熱した後、所望の形状に硬化させて成形又は付形することができるすべての合成材料又は有機材料を指し、非限定例としてポリマー、樹脂、及びセルロース誘導体が含まれる。
意外にも、PEF(ホモポリマー又はコポリマーのいずれか)を用いて製造されたプラスチックボトルは、PET又は他のポリマー材料より良好な香料に対するヒビ及び割れ耐性を有することが発見されている。理論に束縛されるものではないが、香料に対するPEFのヒビ及び割れ特性がPETと比べてよりすぐれているのは、酸素含有芳香族フラン環の極性がテレフタル酸の類似の全炭化水素芳香環と比べてより高いこと、及びPETよりPEFの方が結晶度が高いことに起因するかもしれない。これらのPEFとPETとの違いが、PEFボトルでのヒビを低減するか又は更には無くすように、PEFと香料との相互作用を変えるのかもしれない。
本発明の香料組成物は、香料及び溶媒を含み得る。香料は、合成的に製造されてもよく、又は植物若しくは動物供給源から抽出されてもよい。溶媒は、エタノール、水及びエタノールの混合物、ヤシ分油、又は液体ワックスであってもよい。一実施形態では、溶媒は、エタノール、又は水及びエタノールの混合物である。他の実施形態では、溶媒はエタノールである。
バリア特性は、水蒸気透過率(WVTR;ASTM F−1249)及び酸素透過率(OTR;ASTM D3985)の測定により直接得ることができる。

- 香料組成物を収容するためのプラスチックボトルであって、前記プラスチックボトルがポリ(エチレン2,5−フランジカルボキシレート)(PEF)を含む、プラスチックボトル。
- 前記プラスチックボトルが送出器及び弁を更に含む、請求項1に記載のプラスチックボトル。
- 前記プラスチックボトルがラベルを更に含み、前記ラベルがPEFを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のプラスチックボトル。
- 前記プラスチックボトルがキャップを更に含み、前記キャップがPEFを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のプラスチックボトル。
- 前記香料組成物が、フレグランスファミリー及びサブグループからの構成成分又は混合物を含み、前記フレグランスファミリー及びサブグループが、シングルフローラル、フローラルブーケ、オリエンタル、ウッド、レザー、シプレ、フジェール、ブライトフローラル、グリーン、アクアティック、オーシャニック、オゾニック、シトラス、フルーティ、グルマンからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のプラスチックボトル。
- 前記香料組成物が、天然源からの構成成分を含み、前記天然源が、樹皮、草花、果樹の花、果実、葉、小枝、樹脂、根、根茎、球根、種、木材、アンバーグリース、海狸香、シベット、ハイラセウム、ハチの巣、ジャコウジカ、地衣類、海藻、合成源、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のプラスチックボトル。
