Abstract
Description
平均一次粒子径(dp)
dpは、BS4359−2由来の方法に従って測定した透過率によって決定した。この方法の原理は、「Blaine」又は「Lea&Nurse法」に類似の、ペレットの透気度の測定である。dpの計算は、Carman&Malherbe式から導かれる。

ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体の平均直径及び平均長さは、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)観察によって見積もった。試料は金属化粉末から作製し、Hitachi S−4800 SEMで観察した。試料は直接黒鉛テープ上に置き、次いで10−1Paの減圧下、ビーム強度6mAで、白金で一分間金属化した。
D50は、仏国標準ISO13317−3、「液体中の可変高さ重力による粉末の粒径沈降分析。X線吸収測定法」に基づいて測定した。一般的手順及び装置(Sedigraph)はこの中に記載されている。作製法などの、測定結果に影響を与える試料の準備工程は以下に記載されている。
次の2つの処方が用意された。
試験する塗料試料をコントラスト試験用カード(Leneta社、Form09)に塗布するために、送り速度7.5mm/sで自動塗布装置(Erichsen社、Typ 509MC)を用い、塗料試験カード(層200μm)を作製した。その後、測定の前にフィルムを乾燥させた。
摩耗性はISO11998に基づいて測定した。湿潤摩耗性は、規定サイクル(200サイクル)研磨用布で磨くことによる層厚さの損失(μm)として測定した。
5重量%のCa(OH)2濃度で初期温度14.2℃の石灰乳に、2重量%(製造した最終CaCO3に対するパーセンテージ)の部分的に中和されたポリアクリル酸(分子量2500g/mol、70%の酸基がナトリウムイオンで中和、pH5〜6)を混ぜた。炭酸塩化は、流速12.5m3/hの40%CO2フロー(空気で希釈)下で行われた。炭酸塩化の最終温度は15.5℃であった。得られた沈降炭酸カルシウムは平面フィルターでろ過し、オーブンで95℃で36時間乾燥した後、Alpine 160 Z中で10000rpmで粉砕した。
実施例1で作製したPCCを処方1で試験し、標準グレードのPCC、すなわちSocal(登録商標)P3と比較した。
実施例1で作製したPCCを、それぞれPCCを6重量%、10重量%、及び14重量%含有する処方2で試験し、標準グレードのPCC、すなわちSocal(登録商標)P3と比較した。
14.6重量%のCa(OH)2濃度で初期温度12.7℃の石灰乳に、0.5重量%(製造した最終CaCO3に対するパーセンテージ)の部分的に中和されたポリアクリル酸(分子量2500g/mol)を混ぜた。炭酸塩化は、流速12.5m3/hの40%CO2フロー(空気で希釈)下で行われた。炭酸塩化の最終温度は40.1℃であった。得られた沈降炭酸カルシウムは平面フィルターでろ過し、オーブン中で36時間、95℃で乾燥した。
実施例6で作製したPCCを処方1で試験し、標準グレードのPCC、すなわちSocal(登録商標)P3と比較した。
実施例6で作製したPCCを、それぞれPCCを6重量%、10重量%、及び14重量%含有する処方2で更に試験し、標準グレードのPCC、すなわちSocal(登録商標)P3と比較した。
Claims (16)
- 少なくとも2つの互いに連結した一次粒子によって構成される、少なくとも部分的にナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体の形態である、沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子の、不透明化剤としての使用。
- 塗料、紙用増量剤、紙用コーティング及びプラスチック用コーティングでの、好ましくは塗料、紙用増量剤、及び紙用コーティングでの、より好ましくは塗料での、請求項1に記載の使用。
- 水性塗料での、具体的には艶消し又はシルク水性塗料での、より具体的には艶消し水性塗料での、請求項1又は2に記載の使用。
- 塗料、紙、紙用コーティング、又はプラスチック用コーティングの不透明性を向上させるための、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子が、結晶調整化剤を、好ましくはポリアクリル酸、その塩、及びこれらの混合物から選択される結晶化調整剤を含有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子が、炭酸カルシウム重量の0.1〜10重量%の、好ましくは0.2〜4重量%の、より好ましくは0.25〜2.5重量%の、最も好ましくは0.25〜1重量%の、結晶化調整剤を含有する、請求項5に記載の使用。
- 前記結晶化調整剤が500〜15000g/mol、好ましくは700〜5000g/mol、より好ましくは800〜4000g/mol、最も好ましくは1000〜3500g/molの平均分子量を有する、請求項5又は6に記載の使用。
- 前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体が、10〜100nm、好ましくは20〜80nm、より好ましくは30〜60nmの平均直径を有し、前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体が、20〜2000nm、好ましくは40〜800nm、最も好ましくは60〜480nmの平均長さを有している、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体は、方解石結晶が、好ましくは偏菱形状の結晶が、エンド・ツー・エンドで並ぶことによって生じたものである、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体が、2〜20個の、好ましくは2〜10個の、最も好ましくは2〜8個の、一次炭酸カルシウム一次粒子がエンド・ツー・エンドで並ぶことによって生じたものである、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体が、少なくとも部分的にマイクロシェル状の凝集体の形態に結びついており、好ましくは0.1〜5μm、特には0.2〜3μm、更に特には0.4〜2μm、また更に特には0.6〜1.5μmの凝集体メジアン径(D50)を有している、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- ポリアクリル酸、その塩、及びこれらの混合物から選択される0.1重量%以上2重量%未満の結晶化調整剤を含有し、少なくとも2個の互いに連結した一次粒子によって構成されるナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体の形態である、沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子であって、前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体は、平均直径30〜60nm、平均長さ60〜480nm、凝集体メジアン径0.6〜1.5μmである、沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子。
- 直径に対する長さの比率の算術平均として定義される、前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体の平均アスペクト比が、2〜50、好ましくは2〜20、より好ましくは2〜8、又は3〜20、又は4〜15であり、前記平均直径(dp)に対する前記凝集体メジアン径(D50)の比率として定義される前記ナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体の凝集比が、5〜300、より具体的には10〜100、最も具体的には20〜50である、請求項12に記載の沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子。
- 請求項12又は13に記載の沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子の、フィラーとしての、好ましくは特には塗料工業、プラスチック工業、若しくは製紙工業での不透明化剤としての、又は、特にはプラスチゾル、シーラント、又はインク中での機能性フィラーとしての、使用。
- ポリアクリル酸、その塩、及びこれらの混合物から選択される結晶化調整剤を含有し、少なくとも2個の互いに連結した一次粒子によって構成されるナノファイバー又はナノチェーン状凝集体の形態である、沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子を含有する、塗料、紙、紙用コーティング、又は塗料で被覆された物品、好ましくは塗料。
- 請求項12又は13に記載の沈降炭酸カルシウム粒子を含有する、塗料、紙、紙用コーティング、又は塗料で被覆された物品、好ましくは塗料。
