(実施形態1)
図1〜図3に示すように、本実施形態のマフラ(消音器)1は、筐体2と、筐体2内に排ガス(排気)を導入するインレットパイプ3と、筐体2内から排ガスを排出するアウトレットパイプ4とを備えている。アウトレットパイプ4の排気流入側開口部400には、排気流入側開口部400を閉塞するように配置された蓋部5が設けられている。
本実施形態のマフラ(消音器)1において、アウトレットパイプ4の排気流入側開口部400を閉塞する蓋部5には、弁体62によって開閉可能な排気流入口51が設けられている。また、蓋部5には、排気流入口51とは別に連通孔52が設けられている。そして、連通孔52は、排気流入口51に対して弁体62の回転軸620側に設けられている。すなわち、連通孔52は、弁体62が回転軸620を中心に回転移動して開弁した際に、アウトレットパイプ4内において弁体62の裏側に形成される空間(裏側空間C)と筐体2(第1室25)内とを連通するように形成されている。
本実施形態は、図4、図5に示すように、マフラ(消音器)1におけるアウトレットパイプ4の構成を変更した例である。なお、図5は、図3と同様の断面図である。図5(a)は、弁体62が閉弁状態であり、図5(b)は、弁体62が開弁状態である。
本実施形態は、図6、図7に示すように、マフラ(消音器)1におけるアウトレットパイプ4の構成を変更した例である。なお、図7は、図3と同様の断面図であり、セパレータ24をさらに図示したものである。図7(a)は、弁体62が閉弁状態であり、図7(b)は、弁体62が開弁状態である。
なお、本発明は、前述の実施形態に何ら限定されるものではなく、本発明を逸脱しない範囲において種々の態様で実施しうることはいうまでもない。

Claims (3)
- 筐体と、
該筐体内に排気を導入するインレットパイプと、
前記筐体内から排気を排出するアウトレットパイプとを備え、
該アウトレットパイプの排気流入側開口部には、該排気流入側開口部を閉塞するように配置された蓋部が設けられ、
該蓋部には、前記アウトレットパイプ内に排気を流入させる排気流入口と、該排気流入口を開閉する弁体と、前記排気流入口とは別に形成された連通孔とが設けられ、
前記弁体は、その回転軸を中心に前記アウトレットパイプ内において回転移動可能に構成され、
前記連通孔は、少なくとも、前記排気流入口に対して前記弁体の前記回転軸側に設けられていることを特徴とする消音器。 - 前記アウトレットパイプの排気流入側端部には、他の部分よりも径を拡大させた径大部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の消音器。
- 前記アウトレットパイプの前記径大部には、前記排気流入側開口部に近づくに従って徐々に径が大きくなる拡径部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の消音器。
