Abstract
Description
図1は、本開示の1つの態様に従った検体センサの平面図を例証している。図1を参照すると、1つの実施の形態では、検体センサ100は、近接部110および遠位部120を有するセンサ本体を具備する。センサ100の遠位部120の遠位末端126は、使用者の皮膚表面を通じた経皮的配置に適したまたは妥当な幅を有しうる。例えば、1つの態様では、遠位部120は、使用者の皮膚層下に挿通するための遠位端126を画成するため、約2mm以下、または約1mm以下、または約0.5mm以下、または約0.3mm以下、または約0.25mm以下の幅を有するように寸法化されて差し支えない。
ある特定の実施の形態では、本開示に従ったインビボセンサは、作用電極の再現可能な活性領域を有する。すなわち、各製造センサでは、活性領域(作用電極におけるセンシング化学の領域として画成)のパラメータまたは特性は、活性領域の変動係数(CV)が、センサロット内のセンサ間で約5%未満、例えば約3%未満、例えば約1%未満になるように再現可能である。これは、活性領域が正確に画成された、インビボセンサ製造の間の製造プロセスの制御および規定された手順によって達成されうる。
図9A〜9Cは、それぞれ、1つの態様に従った両面のある検体センサの上面、底面および断面側面図を例証しており、ここで、誘電体の両面は導電材料を備える。図9A〜9Cを参照すると、例えば、センサの尾部の遠位部など、センサ900の両面性の埋入可能な部分の実施の形態が例証されている。特に、図9Aおよび9Bは、それぞれ、尾部900の上面および底面図を提供し、図9Cは、図9Aの線C−Cに沿った同一の断面側面図を提供する。
センサ上のセンシング要素の提供の精度の改善、したがって、得られた活性領域の精度の改善は、センサ間の感度変動性を大幅に低減し、インビボ使用の間のセンサの較正の必要性を大幅に排除しうる。さらに、本方法は、誤った低い読み取りを生じうるその場(in situ)における環境条件の影響を極めて受けにくいマイクロ寸法化した尾部を備えた、現在利用可能なセンサよりも小さいセンサ完成品を提供する。
上述のように、同一のセンサバッチまたはロット内における(または同一の規格に作られたすべてのセンサを用いた)センサ感度の変動を最小限に抑える少なくとも1つ因子は、センサ間の活性領域の寸法(領域、幅、長さ、および/または半径など)を維持することを含みうる。したがって、本開示の態様は、正確に画成された活性領域を有する検体センサを含む。この精度は、センシング層の実質的に同一の幾何学的形状/形状および寸法を維持することによって達成される。現時点における実践では、センシング層を施用する方法(例えば、インクジェット印刷法による、または高精度ポンプおよび/またはフットニードル(footed needle)による)は、結果的に、センシング層の幾何学的形状/形状および寸法に著しい変化を生じる。
本開示の実施の形態は、センサがインビボ使用の前に曝露されうる、周囲空気の環境影響、特に湿度に、センサが実質的に影響されないように、すなわち、センサの保存寿命の間に、センサ特性の変動、およびセンサの安定性の低下を最小限に抑え、使用者に基づいた較正の必要性を取り除くため、インビボ検体センサを包装する工程を有してなる。
図20Aは本開示の1つの実施の形態における検体センサの作用電極の上面図を例証しており、図20Bおよび20Cは、それぞれ、図20Aの作用電極の線BおよびCにおける断面図を例証している。図20A〜20Cを参照すると、作用電極2000は、1つ以上のチャネル2040を備えうる。ある特定の態様では、チャネル2040は、作用電極2000に施すセンシング材料の位置および量を規定するのに用いられる。作用電極2000のチャネル2040の長さLおよび数は、センサの感度を決定しうる。ある特定の実施の形態では、チャネル2040はカバーレイ材料2030に刻まれ(図20B参照)、作用電極2000の導電層2020の上に施される。論じたように、一部の実施の形態では、導電層2020は金を含んでもよく、作用電極2000の導電層2020は、センサの基板の長さ2010の少なくとも一部の上に形成される。
さらなる態様では、プログラミングまたは実行可能命令は、使用の間に、インビボセンサに時間的に変化する調整アルゴリズムを提供するため、例えば、データ処理装置、メモリ要素、通信要素などを備えた、例えば、電子機器組立体、および/または受信機/制御装置ユニットを具備する、検体モニタリング・システムのデータ処理装置に提供または保存されうる。すなわち、1つの実施の形態では、インビボで使用した検体センサのレトロスペクティブ統計分析および対応するグルコース濃度のフィードバックに基づいて、規定のまたは解析された曲線またはデータベースが生成され、これは、時間ベースであり、1つ以上のインビボセンサパラメータに追加の調整を提供して、安定性プロファイルにおける潜在的なセンサドリフト、または他の因子を補償するように構成される。
