Abstract
【解決手段】固体反応物成分24を収容する拡張可能反応チャンバ14と液体反応物成分26を収容する折り畳み可能レセプタクル16をハウジング12に含む装置10。反応チャンバ14は、反応物及び反応生成物を反応チャンバ14内に保持する移動可能隔壁22によって定められる拡張可能反応物ゾーン75を含む。装置10はまた、液体移送制御システムと、液体反応物成分26を折り畳み可能レセプタクルから反応チャンバ14内の反応物ゾーンまで移送するための流体経路32を含む。液体反応物成分26が使用される時に、レセプタクルは反応チャンバ14の拡張を伴って折り畳まれ、移動可能隔壁上の反応生成物の増大した容積からの圧力に応答して反応物ゾーン75が反応チャンバ14内で拡張する。これにより、制限された容積の装置から大容積の水素ガスを提供する。

Claims (12)
- 水素ガス発生装置であって、
固定内部容積を有するハウジングと、
拡張可能反応物ゾーンを定める移動可能隔壁を含み、かつ該反応物ゾーン内に固体反応物成分を収容する前記ハウジング内の拡張可能反応チャンバと、
液体反応物成分を収容する前記ハウジング内の折り畳み可能レセプタクルと、
前記液体反応物成分を前記折り畳み可能レセプタクルから前記反応チャンバの前記反応物ゾーンまで移送するための流体経路と、
液体反応物移送制御システムと、
を含み、
前記液体反応物成分は、前記反応チャンバ内で前記固体反応物成分と反応して水素ガスを発生する、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記流体経路は、前記折り畳み可能レセプタクルに取り付けられた複数の管状部材を含み、各部材は、前記反応チャンバの前記反応物ゾーンの中に延びる自由端を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記管状部材の前記自由端は、液体反応物成分を前記反応物ゾーン内の未反応の固体反応物成分まで移送するために前記折り畳み可能レセプタクルと共に移動可能であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記管状部材の前記自由端は、前記移動可能隔壁に対して前記反応物ゾーンの遠位部分に最初に配置され、かつ該移動可能隔壁に対して該反応物ゾーンの近位部分に向けて移動可能であることを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記液体反応物制御システムは、バルブを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記液体反応物制御システムは、更に、前記バルブに取り付けられた圧力レギュレータを含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- 圧力レギュレータが、前記折り畳み可能レセプタクル内に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記移動可能隔壁は、多孔質材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記固体反応物成分は、化学水素化物を含み、前記液体反応物成分は、水を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記化学水素化物は、水素化ホウ素ナトリウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記固体反応物成分は、ケイ化ナトリウムを含み、前記液体反応物成分は、水を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記移動可能隔壁は、前記反応チャンバ内を摺動する摺動可能隔壁であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項11のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
