Description

測定用機器1のランチコネクタ9から出射される測定光DLを用いて挿入損失Lβを実際に測定した。光ファイバ7には、長さ1m、コア径/クラッド径=200μm/230μm、開口数(NA:Numerical Aperture)=037のハードポリマークラッドファイバを用いた。また、光源3からは、NAを0.05〜0.60の範囲で変動させた光を光ファイバ7に入射させた。この入射光としては、ガウシアンビームを用いることができる。一方で、同じ仕様でかつ長さが2kmの光ファイバを用いて定常励振モードを作り出して、当該光ファイバ7の挿入損失Lαを測定した。その結果を表1に示し、さらに表1の結果を直線近似にて解析した結果を図3に示す。
