Claims (4)
- 排気中の炭化水素を酸化可能な酸化触媒と、前記酸化触媒の排気下流側に設けられて排気中の粒子状物質を捕集可能なフィルタと、前記酸化触媒に炭化水素を供給して前記フィルタに堆積した粒子状物質を燃焼除去する強制再生を実行可能な強制再生手段とを備える排気浄化システムの診断装置であって、
前記酸化触媒の温度を検出する第1温度検出手段と、
強制再生終了から次の強制再生開始までの期間において、前記第1温度検出手段から入力される温度の積算時間を所定の設定温度に対する熱履歴時間に換算すると共に、当該熱履歴時間に基づいて前記酸化触媒の劣化度を演算する第1劣化度演算手段と、
強制再生実行期間に前記第1温度検出手段から入力される温度に基づいて前記酸化触媒内での発熱量を演算すると共に、当該発熱量に基づいて前記酸化触媒の劣化度を演算する第2劣化度演算手段と、
少なくとも前記第1又は、第2劣化度演算手段から入力される劣化度に基づいて、前記酸化触媒の劣化状態を診断する第1診断手段と、を備える
ことを特徴とする診断装置。 - 前記第1劣化度演算手段が、予め設定した前記酸化触媒の反応速度定数に前記熱履歴時間を乗算して得られる発熱量比に基づいて、前記酸化触媒の劣化度を演算する
請求項1に記載の診断装置。 - 前記フィルタの温度を検出する第2温度検出手段と、
前記第1及び、第2劣化度演算手段から入力される各劣化度に基づいて、強制再生実行期間に前記酸化触媒を通過する炭化水素のスリップ量を演算するスリップ量演算手段と、
強制再生実行期間に前記第2温度検出手段から入力される温度及び、前記スリップ量演算手段から入力されるスリップ量に基づいて前記フィルタ内での発熱量を演算すると共に、当該発熱量に基づいて前記フィルタの劣化度を演算する第3劣化度演算手段と、
前記第3劣化度演算手段から入力される劣化度に基づいて、前記フィルタの劣化状態を診断する第2診断手段と、をさらに備える
請求項1又は2に記載の診断装置。 - 外気温度を検出する第3温度検出手段をさらに備え、
前記第2劣化度演算手段が、前記第3温度検出手段の検出値に基づいて前記酸化触媒から外気に放出される熱損失量を演算すると共に、当該熱損失量を考慮して前記酸化触媒内での発熱量を演算し、
前記第3劣化度演算手段が、前記第3温度検出手段の検出値に基づいて前記フィルタから外気に放出される熱損失量を演算すると共に、当該熱損失量を考慮して前記フィルタ内での発熱量を演算する
請求項3に記載の診断装置。
