Abstract
Description
本発明のさらに別の目的は、上記偏光板を含む液晶表示素子を提供することにある。
(a)アクリル系共重合体;(b)帯電防止剤;及び(c)腐食防止剤を含むアクリル系粘着剤組成物を提供する。
本発明者は、粘着剤に帯電防止剤を添加することによって、静電気防止性能には優れるが、金属面に接触したとき腐食する問題を腐食防止剤を添加することによって、これを改善しうることを確認した。
本発明で使用される上記アクリル系共重合体は、当業界で通常粘着剤として用いられるものであればば特に制限されないが、
(i)炭素数1〜12のアルキル基を有する(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体90〜99.9重量部;及び(ii)架橋可能な官能基を有するビニル系単量体及び/又はアクリル系単量体0.1〜10重量部を含むことが好ましい。
上記(ii)の炭素数1〜12のアルキル基を有する(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体は、メチル(メタ)アクリレート、エチル(メタ)アクリレート、n−プロピル(メタ)アクリレート、イソプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、n−ブチル(メタ)アクリレート、t−ブチル(メタ)アクリレート、sec−ブチル(メタ)アクリレート、ペンチル(メタ)アクリレート、2−エチルブチル(メタ)アクリレート、2−エチルヘキシル(メタ)アクリレート、n−オクチル(メタ)アクリレート、イソオクチル(メタ)アクリレート、又はイソノニル(メタ)アクリレートなどを単独又は2種以上混合して使用することができる。
本発明で使用される上記帯電防止剤は、粘着剤と相溶性に優れ、透明性及び耐久信頼性に影響を与えることなく、イオンの解離を通して静電気防止を抑制しうるイオン性帯電防止剤であればいずれも使用可能である。
(i)金属カチオン及びアニオンからなる無機塩;
(ii)オニウムカチオン及びアニオンからなる有機塩;
(iii)上記無機塩及び無機塩の金属イオンと結合を形成しうるキレート剤の混合物;及び
iv)上記無機塩及び分子中の少なくとも1つ以上のエーテル結合を有する化合物の混合物からなる群から選択された1種以上であることが好ましい。
R9は水素又は直鎖状又は分枝状の炭素数1〜20のアルキル基、直鎖状又は分枝状の炭素数1〜20のアルコキシ基、直鎖状又は分枝状の炭素数2〜20のアルケニル基、炭素数6〜30のアリール基、炭素数6〜30のアリールアルキル基、炭素数6〜30のアリールオキシ基、又は炭素数5〜20のシクロアルキル基である。)
本発明で使用される腐食防止剤は、イオン性帯電防止剤を含む粘着剤の金属腐食防止作用をすることによって変色を防止する。さらに、上記の腐食防止剤を添加することによって相乗効果による帯電防止性能がさらに向上する。
上記のような成分からなる本発明のアクリル系粘着剤組成物は必要に応じて多官能性架橋剤をさらに使用することができる。
上記のような成分からなる本発明のアクリル系粘着剤組成物は必要に応じてシラン系カップリング剤又は粘着性付与樹脂をさらに使用することができる。
上記粘着性付与樹脂は(水素化)ハイドロカーボン系樹脂、(水素化)ロジン樹脂、(水素化)ロジンエステル樹脂、(水素化)テルペン樹脂、(水素化)テルペンフェノール樹脂,重合ロジン樹脂、又は重合ロジンエステル樹脂などを単独又は2種以上混合して使用することができる。
(アクリル系共重合体の製造)
窒素ガスが還流され、温度調節が容易な冷却装置付き1Lの反応器に、n−ブチルアクリレート(BA)94.9重量部、アクリル酸(AA)4.5重量部、及びヒドロキシエチルメタアクリレート(2−HEMA)0.6重量部からなる単量体混合物を投入した後、溶剤として酢酸エチル(EAc)100重量部を投入した。その後、酸素を除去するために窒素ガスを1時間パージした後、62℃で保持した。上記混合物を均一にした後、反応開始剤として酢酸エチルに50%濃度で希釈したアゾビスイソブチロニトリル(AIBN)0.03重量部を投入し、8時間反応してアクリル系共重合体を製造した。
上記製造したアクリル系共重合体100重量部、架橋剤としてイソシアネート系トリメチロールプロパンのトリレンジイソシアネート付加物(TDI−1)0.5重量部、帯電防止剤のリチウムビストリフルオロメタンスルホニルイミド(A−1)5.2重量部と腐食防止剤の2−メルカプトベンゾチアゾール(B−1)8.0重量部を投入し、適正の濃度で希釈し、均一に混合した後、離型紙にコートして乾燥した後、25μmの均一な粘着層を製造した。
上記製造した粘着層を膜厚185μmヨード系偏光板に粘着加工した。
上記実施例1で、下記表1に示される成分と組成比を使用したことを除いては、上記実施例1と同様にして偏光板を製造した。この時、表1の単位は重量部である。
上記実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜4で製造した偏光板を利用して、下記の方法で耐久信頼性、表面抵抗、腐食発生有を測定し、その結果を下記表2に示した。
上記実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜4で製造した偏光板(90mm×170mm)をガラス基板(110mm×190mm×0.7mm)の両面に、光学吸収軸がクロスされた状態で付着させた。この時、気泡又は異物が生成されるのを防ぐために、5kg/cm2の圧力を加えた。この試片らの耐湿熱特性を把握するために、60℃の温度と90%の相対湿度下で1000時間放置した後、気泡や剥離の発生を観察した。上記試片の状態を評価する直前に、室温で24時間放置した後、確認した。
評価基準は,
○:気泡や剥離現象がない
△:気泡や剥離現象がややある
×:気泡や剥離現象がある
上記実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜4で製造した偏光板から離型フィルムを除去した後、粘着面議表面抵抗を測定した。この時、表面抵抗は23℃の温度と50%の相対湿度下で500Vの電圧を1分間印加した後、測定された値を観察した。この時、表面抵抗が1013Ω/□以上の場合、通常帯電防止性能がないと見なした。
上記実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜4で製造した偏光板を50×50mmで切断し、金属(銅、アルミニウムなど)面に付着する。その後、測定サンプルを60℃の温度と90%の相対湿度下で1000時間放置した後、腐食程度を観察した。
評価基準は,
○:腐食未発生により金属面の変色無し
△:若干の腐食発生により金属面の部分変色
×:腐食発生により金属面の変色
本発明に係るアクリル系粘着剤組成物は、光学的に透明であり、耐久信頼性を変化させることなく、金属面に接触しても腐食の発生がないと同時に、帯電防止性能を改善することができる。
Claims (20)
- (a)アクリル系共重合体100重量部;
(b)帯電防止剤0.001〜30重量部;及び
(c)腐食防止剤0.01〜10重量部;
を含むことを特徴とするアクリル系粘着剤組成物。 - アクリル系共重合体が、
(i)炭素数1〜12のアルキル基を有する(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体90〜99.9重量部;及び
(ii)架橋可能な官能基を有する単量体0.1〜10重量部;
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。 - 帯電防止剤が、
(i)金属カチオン及びアニオンからなる無機塩;
(ii)オニウムカチオン及びアニオンからなる有機塩;
(iii)上記無機塩及び無機塩の金属イオンと結合を形成しうるキレート剤の混合物;及び
(iv)上記無機塩及び分子中の少なくとも1つ以上のエーテル結合を有する化合物の混合物;
からなる群から選択される1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。 - 無機塩又は有機塩のアニオンは、ヨージド(I−)、クロリド(Cl−)、ブロマイド(Br−)、ニトラート(NO3 −)、スルホネート(SO4 −)、メチルベンゼンスルホネート(CH3(C6H4)SO3 −)、カルボキシベンゼンスルホネート(COOH(C6H4)SO3 −)、ベンゾエート(C6H5COO−)、ペルクロラート(ClO4 −)、ヒドロキシド(OH−)、トリフルオロアセテート(CF3COO−)、トリフルオロメタンスルホネート(CF3SO2 −)、テトラフルオロボレート(BF4 −)、テトラベンジルボレート(B(C6H5)4 −)、ヘキサフルオロホスフェート(PF6 −)、ビス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)イミド(N(SO2CF3)2 −)、ビス(ペンタフルオロエタンスルホニル)イミド(N(SOC2F5)2 −)、ビス(ペンタフルオロエタンカルボニル)イミド(N(COC2F5)2 −)、ビス(ペルフルオロブタンスルホニル)イミド(N(SO2C4F9)2 −)、ビス(ペルフルオロブタンカルボニル)イミド(N(COC4F9)2 −)、トリス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)メチド(C(SO2CF3)3 −)、及びトリス(トリフルオロメタンカルボニル)メチド(C(SO2CF3)3 −)からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- 金属カチオンが、リチウム(Li+)、ナトリウム(Na+)、カリウム(K+)、ルビジウム(Rb+)、セシウム(Cs+)、ベリリウム(Be2+)、マグネシウム(Mg2+)、カルシウム(Ca2+)、ストロンチウム(Sr2+)及びバリウム(Ba2+)からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- オニウムカチオンが、窒素オニウムカチオン、リンオニウムカチオン、又は硫黄オニウムカチオンであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- 窒素オニウムカチオンが、非環式第4級アンモニウム;及びピリジニウム、ピリダジニウム、ピリミジニウム、ピラジニウム、イミダゾリウム、ピラゾリウム、チアゾリウム、オキサゾリウム、及びトリアゾリウムから選択された芳香族アンモニウム塩からなる群から選択される1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- 窒素オニウムカチオンが、テトラアルキルアンモニウム[N+(CnH2n+1)4:n=1〜8];N−アルキルピリジニウム[N−CnH2n+1−cyc−N+C5H5:n=4〜16]、1,3−アルキルメチルイミダゾリウム[CH3−cyc−(N+C2H2NCH)CnH2n+1:n=2〜10];及び1,2−ジメチル−3−アルキルイミダゾリウム[CH3−cyc−(N+C2H2NC(CH3))CnH2n+1:n=2〜10]からなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- 金属イオンと結合を形成しうるキレート剤が、オキサレート基を有する化合物、ジアミン基を有する化合物、多価カルボキシル基を有する化合物、β−ケトン基を有する化合物、及びオキシム基を有する化合物からなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- β−ケトン基を有する化合物が下記一般式(5)で示される化合物であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物:
- 腐食防止剤が、(ベンゾ)トリアゾール系化合物;(ベンゾ)チアゾール系化合物;(ベンジル)イミダゾール系化合物;イミダゾリン系化合物;キノリン、ピリジン又はピリミジン系化合物;インドール系化合物又はその誘導体;アミン系化合物;ウレア系化合物;ナトリウムベンゾエート;ベンジルメルカプト;ジ−sec−ブチルスルフィド;及びジフェニルスルホサイドからなる群から選択される1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- アクリル系粘着剤組成物がアクリル系共重合体100重量部に対して、多官能性架橋剤0.01〜10重量部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物。
- 基材;及び
上記基材の一面又は両面に形成され、請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物を含有する粘着層;を含む保護フィルム。 - 偏光フィルム又は偏光素子;及び
請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載のアクリル系粘着剤組成物を含有する粘着層;を含む偏光板。 - 偏光板が保護層、反射層、防眩層、位相差板、広視野角補償フィルム、及び輝度向上フィルムからなる群から選択される1種以上の層をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の偏光板。
- 請求項18に記載の偏光板を液晶セルの一面又は両面に接合した液晶パネルを含むことを特徴とする液晶表示素子。
