Description
本出願は、2011年4月1日付けで出願された米国特許仮出願第61/516,274号明細書の利益を請求し、この明細書はその全体において本明細書中に参照として援用されている。
本発明の一側面が、入射光の少なくとも一部分に対して透明である透明材料の第1の層と、この第1の層に隣接した水蒸気バリア材料の第2の層とを備える、光起電力(PV)モジュール(または、本明細書では「PV屋根板」)を提供する。第2の層は第1の層からの光の一部分に対して透明である。このPVモジュールは、第2の層に隣接した1つまたは複数の相互接続された光起電力(PV)電池を有する第3の層を含む。1つまたは複数の相互接続されたPV電池は、第2の層からの光に露光される時に電力を発生させる。電気絶縁性材料の第4の層が第3の層に隣接している。第1の層は、この第1の層に隣接した第2の層の表面に対してゼロ度より大きい角度に方向配置されている1つまたは複数の外側表面を含む。

Claims (24)
- 光起電力モジュールであって、
入射光の少なくとも一部分に対して透明である光学的に透明な材料の第1の層と、
前記第1の層に隣接した水蒸気バリア材料の第2の層であって、前記第1の層からの光の少なくとも一部分に対して透明である第2の層と、
前記第2の層に隣接した1つまたは複数の相互接続された光起電力(PV)電池を有する第3の層であって、前記1つまたは複数の相互接続されたPV電池は、前記第1の層から前記第2の層を通過してこの第3の層に方向付けられる光に露光される時に電力を発生させる第3の層と、
前記第3の層に隣接した電気絶縁性材料の第4の層
とを含み、
前記第1の層は、前記第1の層に隣接した前記第2の層の表面に対してゼロ度より大きい角度に方向配置されている1つまたは複数の外側表面を含む
光起電力モジュール。 - 前記第1の層は、紫外線放射に対して耐久性があるポリマー材料を含む請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記ポリマー材料はポリメチルメタクリラートである請求項2に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記層は接着剤によって互いに接合されている請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記水蒸気バリア材料は被覆ポリマー材料を含む請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記水蒸気バリア材料はSiOxを含み、前式中で「x」はゼロよりも大きい数である請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記湿気バリア材料は、約10−4グラム/m2/日よりも小さいかまたはこれに等しい水蒸気浸透を有する請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記1つまたは複数の外側表面の少なくとも一部分は、前記第2の層の前記表面に比べて粗くされている請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記第4の層に隣接した別の水蒸気バリア材料の第5の層をさらに備える請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記別の水蒸気バリア材料はアルミニウムを含む請求項9に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記別の水蒸気バリア材料は、1つまたは複数のバリア層で被覆されているポリマー下地を備える請求項9に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 保護材料の第6の層をさらに備える請求項9に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記1つまたは複数の外側表面は、前記第1の層と一体化されている複数の外側表面である請求項1に記載の光起電力モジュール。

- 光起電力モジュールであって、
入射光の少なくとも一部分に対して透明である光学的に透明な材料の第1の層であって、凹みパターンを有する第1の層と、
前記第1の層に隣接した第1の湿気バリア材料の第2の層であって、前記第1の層からの光の少なくとも一部分に対して透明である第2の層と、
前記第2の層に隣接した1つまたは複数の相互接続された光起電力(PV)電池を有する第3の層であって、前記1つまたは複数の相互接続されたPV電池は前記第2の層からの光に露光される時に電力を発生させる第3の層と、
前記第3の層に隣接した電気絶縁性材料の第4の層
とを備える光起電力モジュール。 - 前記第4の層に隣接した別の湿気バリア材料の第5の層をさらに備える請求項16に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 前記第4の層に隣接した支持部材をさらに備え、および、前記支持部材は、前記支持部材を貫通して延びる複数の穴を有する請求項16に記載の光起電力モジュール。
- 光起電力システムであって、1つまたは複数の屋根板型の光起電力モジュールを備え、および、前記1つまたは複数の屋根板型光起電力モジュールの屋根板型光起電力モジュールの各々は、その型押しされた層からの光に露光される時に電気を発生させるように構成されている光活性材料の層に隣接した、光学的に透明なポリマー材料の型押し層を有する光起電力システム。
- 前記1つまたは複数の屋根板型光起電力モジュールの個々の屋根板型光起電力モジュールに隣接した屋根板をさらに備える請求項19に記載の光起電力システム。
- 前記型押し層は、屋根板の形状のトラフのパターンを備える請求項19に記載の光起電力システム。
- 屋根板型の光起電力モジュールを形成するための方法であって、屋根板の形状で中に形成されている凹みパターンを有する光学的に透明なポリマーシートに隣接した光活性材料の層を提供することを含み、および、前記光活性材料は、前記光学的に透明なポリマーシートからの光に露光される時に電気を発生させる方法。
- 前記光活性材料の層を設ける前に、前記凹みパターンを前記光学的に透明なポリマーシートの中に形成する請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記凹みパターンは型押しによって形成される請求項23に記載の方法。
