Claims (20)
- 窒素酸化物(NOx)および粒子状物質(PM)を排出する車両用希薄燃焼内燃エンジン用の排気システムであって、還元剤の存在下でNOxを還元するためのNOx還元触媒と、流れる排気ガス中に還元剤を導入するための手段ならびに炭化水素還元剤、窒素還元剤、水素およびそれらの任意の2つ以上の混合物からなる群から選択された還元剤の供給源と、前記排気システム内を流れる排気ガスからPMを除去するためのフィルタと、前記フィルタの下流側の前記排気システムを前記エンジンの空気取り込み口に連結するための低圧排気ガス再循環(EGR)回路とを備え、前記EGR回路が、一酸化窒素(NO)吸着剤を含むNOx吸着触媒(NAC)を備える、排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が、パラジウムおよび酸化セリウムまたはセリウム、ならびに少なくとも1つの他の遷移金属を含有する混合酸化物または複合酸化物からなる、請求項1に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が、セリアに分散されたパラジウムまたはセリウムおよび少なくとも1つの他の遷移金属を含有する混合酸化物または複合酸化物を含む、請求項1または2に記載の排気システム。
- 前記混合酸化物または複合酸化物内の前記少なくとも1つの他の遷移金属が、ジルコニウムである、請求項2または3に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が、0.1から200g/ft−3の範囲にあるパラジウム装填量を有する、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が、200℃を上回るときにNOxを正味吸着し、250°Cを上回るときにNOxを正味脱着するために、熱的に再生可能なNOx吸着剤と組み合わされ、前記熱的に再生可能なNOx吸収剤は、白金および金属酸化物を含む、請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記熱的に再生可能なNOx吸収剤が、アルミナおよび/またはジルコニア上に分散された白金を含む、請求項6に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NO吸着剤が基層内に存在し、前記熱的に再生可能なNOx吸収剤が、前記基層を覆う層内に存在する、請求項6または7に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NOx還元触媒が、前記フィルタの下流側に位置する、請求項1ないし8のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 流れる排気ガス中に還元剤を導入するための前記手段が、前記フィルタと前記NOx還元触媒の間に位置する、請求項9に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NOx還元触媒が、前記フィルタ上に位置する、請求項1ないし9のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 流れる排気ガス中に還元剤を導入するための前記手段が、前記フィルタの上流側に位置する、請求項11に記載の排気システム。
- 前記フィルタおよび/または前記NOx還元触媒の上流側に位置する、NOを二酸化窒素に酸化させるための酸化触媒を備える、請求項1ないし12のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記NOx還元触媒が、窒素還元剤を用いてNOxの還元を選択的に触媒する、請求項1ないし13のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記窒素還元剤が、アンモニア、ヒドラジン、または尿素((NH2)2CO)、炭酸アンモニウム、カルバミン酸アンモニウム、炭酸水素アンモニウムおよびギ酸アンモニウムからなる群から選択されたアンモニア前駆体である、請求項1ないし14のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記排気ガス中のNOxを還元するための前記排気ガスへの還元剤の前記導入を制御するための手段を備える、請求項1ないし15のいずれか一項に記載の排気システム。
- 前記制御手段が、電子制御ユニットを備える、請求項16に記載の排気システム。
- 前記制御手段が、前記NOx還元触媒の下流側に位置するNOxセンサを備える、請求項16または17に記載の排気システム。
- 前記請求項1ないし18のいずれか一項に記載の排気システムを備える、希薄燃焼内燃エンジン。
- 請求項19に記載の圧縮点火エンジン。
