Description
Claims (16)
- 位置情報を規定する特徴部を有するスケールと、前記スケールを読み取る読取りヘッドとを備える位置エンコーダ装置の操作方法であって、
i)過去に判定された少なくとも1つの絶対位置から推定した粗い位置と、ii)前記スケールの現在の読取り値から計算した精密位置情報とから、推定位置情報を計算するステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - さらに、
推定位置を前記スケールの読取り値から計算した位置と比較して、それらの間のあらゆる不一致を判定するステップと、
不一致があるか否かにかかわらず前記推定位置情報を使用するステップと、
あらゆる不一致の記録を維持するステップと、
を適切な順序で含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 推定位置計算の失敗を示す不一致の記録を監視するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 監視するステップが、不一致の数を監視することを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 監視するステップが、不一致の大きさを監視することを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記推定位置の失敗を示す不一致がある場合にエラールーチンを実行するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項3から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- エラールーチンを実行するステップが、エラー信号を発行することを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 比較するステップが、粗い推定位置を前記スケールから読み取った粗い位置情報と比較することを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記スケールが、一連の固有の絶対位置を規定する特徴部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記精密の位置情報が、前記一連の固有の絶対位置を規定する前記特徴部から判定されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記推定位置を外部デバイスに送るステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 後で推定計算に使用するために前記推定位置を格納するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 各推定位置を前記スケールの読取り値から計算した位置と比較して、それらの間のあらゆる不一致を判定することを特徴とする請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実行するように構成されたことを特徴とする、位置情報を規定する特徴部を有するスケールを読み取る読取りヘッド。
- 位置情報を規定する特徴部を有するスケールと、前記スケールを読み取る読取りヘッドとを備える位置エンコーダ装置であって、
i)過去に判定された少なくとも1つの絶対位置から推定した粗い位置と、ii)前記スケールの現在の読取り値から計算した精密位置情報とを使用して、前記スケールの少なくとも1つの過去の読取り値から推定位置情報を計算するように構成されていることを特徴とする装置。 - さらに、
推定位置を前記スケールの読取り値から計算した位置と比較して、それらの間のあらゆる不一致を判定し、
不一致があるか否かにかかわらず前記推定位置を使用し、
あらゆる不一致の記録を維持する
ように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の装置。
