Abstract
【解決手段】外部イネーブル信号の各パルスのパルス幅をカウントするカウンタと、各パルスのカウント値を順次に格納するメモリと、メモリに既に格納された直前のパルスのカウント値を読み出し、直前のパルスのカウント値と所定の基準値とを比較して比較値を出力する比較器と、比較値に基づいて外部イネーブル信号の直前のパルスのブランキング区間で前記外部イネーブル信号の現在のパルスに対応する垂直開始信号を活性化するパルス生成器とを含むタイミングコントローラを含む表示装置を提供する。

Claims (5)
- 表示パネルと、
有効区間とブランキング区間とを1つの周期とする複数のパルスを含む外部イネーブル信号に応答して垂直開始信号、水平開始信号、及び映像データを出力するタイミングコントローラと、
前記垂直開始信号に応答して前記表示パネルを制御するデータ駆動部と、
前記水平開始信号、及び前記映像データに応答して前記表示パネルを制御するゲート駆動部と、を含み、
前記タイミングコントローラは、
前記外部イネーブル信号の各パルスのパルス幅をカウントするカウンタと、
前記各パルスのカウント値を順次に格納するメモリと、
前記メモリに既に格納された直前のパルスのカウント値を読み出し、前記直前のパルスのカウント値と所定の基準値とを比較して比較値を出力する比較器と、
前記比較値に基づいて前記外部イネーブル信号の直前のパルスのブランキング区間で前記外部イネーブル信号の現在のパルスに対応する前記垂直開始信号を活性化するパルス生成器と、を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記カウンタは、基準クロックを受信し、前記イネーブル信号の各パルスの有効区間とブランキング区との間の前記基準クロックのパルス数をカウントすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記カウンタは、基準クロックを受信し、前記イネーブル信号の各パルスのブランキング区間に発生する前記基準クロックのパルス数をカウントすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基準値は、前記ブランキング区間のカウント値より小さいことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基準値を格納するEEPROMをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
