Abstract

図1は、複数の基地局BS1、BS2、およびBS3と、端末A、B、およびCとを有する典型的な無線ネットワークに関する3つのセル100、102、および104を示している。基地局BS1およびBS2は、4素子円形アンテナ・アレイを含み、端末Aは、2つのアンテナ1および2を有する。

時空符号(STC)は、1998年にAT&T研究所のTarokhらによって、マルチアンテナ・フェーディング・チャネルの伝送ダイバシティを提供する新規な手段として初めて紹介されたものである(V. Tarokh、N. Seshadri、およびA. R. Theory、vol. 44(1998年)、744〜765頁)。2つの主なタイプのSTCは、時空ブロック符号(STBC)と、時空トレリス符号(STTC)である。時空ブロック符号は、入力シンボル・ブロックに作用するものであり、列が時間を表し行がアンテナを表す行列出力を生成する。時空ブロック符号は一般に、外部コードと連結されない限り符号化利得をもたらさない。時空ブロック符号の主な特徴は、非常に単純な復号化スキームを用いてフル・ダイバシティが提供されることである。一方、時空トレリス符号は、一時に1つの入力シンボルに作用するものであり、それ自体の長さがアンテナを表す一続きのベクトル記号を生成する。時空トレリス符号は、単一アンテナ・チャネル向けの従来のTCM(トレリス符号化変調)と同様の符号化利得をもたらす。それらがフル・ダイバシティ利得をもたらすことから、時空ブロック符号よりも優れた時空トレリス符号の利点は、符号化利得が提供されることである。時空トレリス符号の欠点は、それらの設計が困難であり、一般に複雑性の高いエンコーダおよびデコーダが必要となることである。
Claims (26)
- 複数の基地局のアンテナ素子を利用して、無線ネットワークにおける協調的直交周波数分割多元接続(OFDMA)複数入出力(MIMO)伝送をサポートするステップと、
情報源から受信されたデータ・ストリームを複製するステップと、
前記データ・ストリームの複製を前記複数の各基地局に転送するステップと、
前記複数の各基地局において前記転送されたデータ・ストリームの複製に対するアンテナ信号処理操作を実施してアンテナ信号を生成するステップと、
前記複数の基地局の第1基地局の少なくとも1つのアンテナ素子を介して前記アンテナ信号の第1アンテナ信号を伝送するステップと、
前記複数の基地局の第2基地局の少なくとも1つのアンテナ素子を介して前記アンテナ信号の第2アンテナ信号を伝送するステップとを含み、
前記第1及び第2アンテナ信号の伝送が、空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送を形成する方法。 - 前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送を、同時に少なくとも2つの端末に送信するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送が宛先ユーザに誘導される一方で、非宛先ユーザに対しては空間ヌル化が有効になるよう、前記アンテナ信号に対して空間ビーム形成を実施するステップをさらに含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記アンテナ信号に対して空間ビーム形成を実施するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数の端末において受信されたダウンリンクOFDMA MIMO伝送を連結的に復号化するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数の端末から受信されたアップリンクOFDMA MIMO伝送を個別的に復号化するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数の端末に送信されるダウンリンクOFDMA MIMO伝送を連結的に符号化するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アンテナ信号が前記複数の基地局の異なる基地において前記アンテナ素子を介して同期的に伝送されるように、前記複数の基地局における前記アンテナ信号処理操作の実施を同期させるステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送を実施して無線ネットワークのセルまたはセクター間の端末ハンドオフを円滑にするステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の設備が前記複数の基地局のうちの少なくとも1つと同じ場所に配置される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1アンテナ信号の伝送が複数のアンテナ素子を介して行われ、前記第2アンテナ信号の伝送が複数のアンテナ素子を介して行われる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アンテナ信号の第3アンテナ信号を、前記複数の基地局の前記第1基地局の少なくとももう1つのアンテナ要素を介して伝送するステップをさらに含み、前記第3アンテナ信号が前記第1アンテナ信号とは異なる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アンテナ信号の第4アンテナ信号を、前記複数の基地局の前記第2基地局の少なくとももう1つのアンテナ要素を介して伝送するステップをさらに含み、前記第4アンテナ信号が前記第2アンテナ信号とは異なる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記データ・ストリームの複製が、前記複数の基地局の少なくとも1つの基地局と同じ場所で生じる請求項1に記載の方法。
- マルチセル無線ネットワークであって、
それぞれセルと関連付けられ、少なくとも1つのアンテナ素子を含む各アンテナ・アレイを有する複数の基地局と、
前記複数の基地局の前記アンテナ素子を利用して、前記無線ネットワークを介した協調的直交周波数分割多元接続(OFDMA)複数入出力(MIMO)伝送をサポートするのに使用される拡張型アンテナ・アレイを形成するように構成された協調的直交周波数分割多元接続(OFDMA)複数入出力(MIMO)伝送機構と、
情報源から受信されたデータ・ストリームを複製し、前記データ・ストリームの複製を前記複数の各基地局に転送するように構成されたデータ・レプリケータと、
前記複数の各基地局において転送された前記データ・ストリームの複製に対するアンテナ信号処理操作を実施してアンテナ信号を生成する1組のアンテナ信号処理コンポーネントをと備え、
前記アンテナ信号の第1アンテナ信号が前記複数の基地局の第1基地局の少なくとも1つのアンテナ素子を介して伝送可能であり、前記アンテナ信号の第2アンテナ信号が前記複数の基地局の第2基地局の少なくとも1つのアンテナ素子を介して伝送可能であるとともに、前記第1及び前記第2基地局から伝送された前記第1及び第2アンテナ信号が、空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送を形成するマルチセル無線ネットワーク。 - 前記第1アンテナ信号が複数のアンテナ素子を介して伝送され、前記第2アンテナ信号が複数のアンテナ素子を介して伝送される請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送が、前記複数の基地局の前記第1基地局の少なくとももう1つのアンテナ要素を介して伝送可能な第3アンテナ信号をさらに含み、前記第3アンテナ信号が前記第1アンテナ信号とは異なる請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送が、前記複数の基地局の前記第2基地局の少なくとももう1つのアンテナ要素を介して伝送可能な第4アンテナ信号をさらに含み、前記第4アンテナ信号が前記第2アンテナ信号とは異なる請求項17に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記データ・レプリケータが、前記複数の基地局の少なくとも1つの基地局と同じ場所に配置される請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送機構がさらに、前記アンテナ信号に対して空間ビーム形成を実施するように構成されている請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送機構がさらに、前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送を、同時に少なくとも2つの端末に送信するように構成されている請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送機構がさらに、前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送が宛先ユーザに誘導される一方で、非宛先ユーザに対しては空間ヌル化が有効になるよう、前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送に対して空間ビーム形成を実施するように構成されている請求項21に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送機構がさらに、複数の端末から受信されたアップリンクMIMO伝送を個別的に復号化する請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送機構がさらに、複数の端末に送信されるダウンリンクOFDMA MIMO伝送を連結的に符号化する請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記アンテナ信号が前記複数の基地局の異なる基地において前記アンテナ素子を介して同期的に伝送されるように、前記複数の基地局における前記アンテナ信号処理操作の実施を同期させる同期機構をさらに備える請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
- 前記協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送機構が、前記空間多重式協調的OFDMA MIMO伝送を実施して無線ネットワークのセルまたはセクター間の端末ハンドオフを円滑にする請求項15に記載のマルチセル無線ネットワーク。
