Abstract
【解決手段】反応媒体中、貴金属触媒及びラジカル捕捉剤の存在下で水素と酸素を反応させる、過酸化水素の製造方法。

Description
本発明は、反応媒体中、貴金属触媒及びラジカル捕捉剤の存在下で水素と酸素を反応させることを特徴としている。
従来のアントラキノン法に代表される過酸化水素の直接合成法においては、貴金属触媒が過酸化水素の生成に活性を持つと同時に分解反応にも活性を持つため、この分解を抑制することが重要である。過酸化水素の分解機構は過酸化水素の酸素‐酸素結合の開裂に伴うOHラジカル発生によるものである。OHラジカルの発生により、周辺に存在する過酸化水素の水素ラジカルが引き抜かれ、連鎖的に分解反応が進行する。
本発明においては、過酸化水素の分解抑制のために従来使用されているハロゲン又はハロゲンイオンを使用してもよいが、精製コスト等の観点からは、その使用量を本発明の効果を損なわない範囲とするか、使用しないことが好ましい。
本発明においては、過酸化水素を合成するための貴金属触媒として、従来公知のものを特に制限なく使用することができる。
本発明の過酸化水素の製造方法は、通常液相である反応媒体中で実施される。反応媒体は、水素と酸素の反応を阻害しないものであれば特に制限なく使用することができる。このような反応媒体は当業者に周知である。
本発明においては、以上説明した反応媒体中、上記ラジカル捕捉剤の存在下、水素と酸素を直接反応させることによって、過酸化水素を合成する。
水素の反応率=(消費された水素量)÷(吹き込んだ水素の全量)
なお、消費された水素量は、ガスクロマトグラフィー(使用機器:商品名「GC-8A」、島津製作所製)により反応せずに残存した水素量を測定し、それを吹き込んだ水素の全量から差し引くことで求めた。
過酸化水素の選択率=[(反応により生成した過酸化水素のモル量)÷(消費された水素量から算出した過酸化水素の理論生成モル量)]
なお、生成した過酸化水素のモル量は、過酸化水素の合成反応の終了後に反応溶液の一部を取り出し、硫酸チタニルを過酸化水素の発色剤として使用し、紫外可視分光光度計(商品名:V-550、日本分光製)を用いて測定した。
過酸化水素の収率=(水素の反応率)×(過酸化水素の選択率)
実施例及び比較例についての以上の各種評価結果を、後述の表1にまとめる。
エタノールと水の混合溶媒200ml(水:エタノール=1:1)にシュウ酸2gを加え攪拌した。そこに堺化学製チタニア10g、HAuCl4 0.05gおよびPdCl20.12gを加え、リービッヒ冷却器を用いながら80℃で1時間還流した。
実施例1と同様にして、Au/Pd担持チタニア触媒を製造した。

Claims (7)
- 反応媒体中、貴金属触媒及びラジカル捕捉剤の存在下で水素と酸素を反応させる、過酸化水素の製造方法。
- 前記ラジカル捕捉剤が、ニトロン化合物、ニトロソ化合物、ジチオカルバメート誘導体又はアスコルビン酸誘導体である、請求項1に記載の過酸化水素の製造方法。
- 前記ラジカル捕捉剤が、下記一般式(1)、(2)又は(3)で表されるニトロン化合物、下記一般式(4)で表されるニトロソ化合物、下記一般式(5)で表されるジチオカルバメート誘導体又は下記式(6)で表される化合物である、請求項1又は2に記載の過酸化水素の製造方法:
(一般式(1)において、R1及びR2はそれぞれ独立に、分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基、リン酸基又はリン酸エステル基であり、
R3及びR4はそれぞれ独立に、水素、分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基、分岐を有していてもよく水酸基若しくはアミノ基で置換されていてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基、2−オキソ−1−ピリジルメチル基又はアミノ基であり、
一般式(2)において、R5は分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基であり、
R6〜R10はそれぞれ独立に、水素又は分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基であり、
一般式(3)において、R11は分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基であり、
R12〜R15はそれぞれ独立に、水素又は分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基であり、
一般式(4)において、R16は分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基;又はハロゲン、スルホン酸基若しくは分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基で置換されていてもよい炭素数6〜20のアリール基であり、
一般式(5)において、R17及びR18はそれぞれ独立に、分岐を有していてもよく水酸基で置換されていてもよい炭素数1〜10のアルキル基又は分岐を有していてもよい炭素数1〜10のカルボキシアルキル基であり、
X+は陽イオンである。)。 - 前記一般式(1)において、R1及びR2がメチル基であり、R3及びR4がそれぞれ独立に、メチル基、水素、2−オキソ−1−ピリジルメチル基又はアミノ基であり、
前記一般式(2)において、R5がメチル基、エチル基、イソプロピル基、n−プロピル基、シクロプロピル基、n−ブチル基、sec−ブチル基、tert−ブチル基又はシクロブチル基であり、R6〜R10が水素であり、
前記一般式(3)において、R11がtert−ブチル基であり、R12〜R15が水素であり、
前記一般式(4)において、R16がtert−ブチル基、3,5ジブロモ−4−ニトロソベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム基又は2,3,5,6−テトラメチルベンゼン基であり、
前記一般式(5)において、R17及びR18がそれぞれ独立に、メチル基、エチル基又はカルボキシメチル基であり、X+がナトリウムイオンである、請求項3に記載の過酸化水素の製造方法。 - 前記ラジカル捕捉剤が、5,5−ジメチル−1−ピロリン N−オキシド又はN−tert−ブチル−α−フェニルニトロンである、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の過酸化水素の製造方法。
- 前記ラジカル捕捉剤の使用量が、前記反応媒体100重量部に対して0.01〜0.05重量部である、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の過酸化水素の製造方法。
- 前記貴金属触媒が、シリカ、アルミナ、シリカアルミナ、酸化チタン又は酸化ジルコニアに、白金、パラジウム、銀及び金からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の金属を担持させた触媒である、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の過酸化水素の製造方法。
