Claims (20)
- 遠位端と、近位端と、前記遠位端および前記近位端にわたって延在するルーメンとを有する本体と、
前記ルーメンを横切って配置された膜であって、疎水性かつ空気透過性である膜と、
前記膜の遠位で前記ルーメン内に形成された流体室と、
指が近位ルーメン開口を押圧することに応じて前記ルーメンの内圧が増大するまで前記ルーメン内の血液を保持するように形状および寸法が定められた遠位ルーメン開口と
を備えることを特徴とするベントプラグ。 - 前記膜は、指が前記近位ルーメン開口を押圧することにより前記膜を押圧するように、前記近位ルーメン開口に結合されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記膜は、近位に膨らむように偏倚されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記膜が遠位に押下されるときに生じる変位の容積が、少なくとも0.05mLであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記膜は、前記ルーメン内に配置され、前記膜は、前記ルーメンを前記膜の近位にある空気室と前記膜の遠位にある流体室とに分割することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記本体は、その近位端に圧縮可能な部分を含み、前記圧縮可能な部分は、前記空気室の表面の一部分を形成することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記遠位ルーメン開口は、2.0mm以下の内周を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記遠位ルーメン開口は、実質的に円形であり、約0.1mmから約0.6mmの間の直径を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記遠位ルーメン開口は、実質的に円形であり、約0.2mmから約0.3mmの間の直径を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記流体室は、少なくとも0.1mLの容積を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 遠位端と、近位端と、前記遠位端および前記近位端にわたって延在するルーメンとを有する本体と、
前記ルーメン内に前記ルーメンの一部分を横切って配置された膜であって、疎水性かつ空気透過性であり、前記ルーメンを近位にある空気室と遠位にある流体室とに分割する膜と、
指が近位ルーメン開口を押圧することに応じて前記ルーメンの内圧が増大するまで前記流体室内の血液を保持するように形状および寸法が定められた遠位ルーメン開口と
を備えることを特徴とするベントプラグ。 - 前記本体は、その近位に圧縮可能な部分を含み、前記圧縮可能な部分は、前記空気室の表面の部分を形成することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記遠位ルーメン開口は、2.0mm以下の内周を有することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記遠位ルーメン開口は、実質的に円形であり、約0.1mmから約0.6mmの間の直径を有することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記遠位ルーメン開口は、実質的に円形であり、約0.2mmから約0.3mmの間の直径を有することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のベントプラグ。
- 前記流体室は、少なくとも0.1mLの容積を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベントプラグ。
- 血液サンプルを採取するための方法であって、
静脈内注入療法システムのポート内にベントプラグを配置するステップであって、前記ベントプラグは、本体を貫通するルーメンを備える前記本体と、前記ルーメンを横切って配置された膜とを有し、前記膜は、疎水性かつ空気透過性であり、前記ベントプラグの遠位ルーメン開口は、指が近位ルーメン開口を押圧することに応じて前記ルーメンの内圧が増大するまで前記ルーメン内の血液を保持するように形状および寸法が定められた、ステップと、
前記静脈内注入療法システムから空気を排出し、少なくとも実質的に前記ベントプラグを血液で満たすステップと、
前記静脈内注入療法システムから前記ベントプラグを取り外すステップと、
前記ベントプラグの前記近位ルーメン開口内へ指を遠位に押圧することによって、ある量の血液を前記ベントプラグから吐出させるステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記膜は、前記近位ルーメン開口に結合され、近位に膨らむように偏倚され、ある量の血液を吐出させるステップは、前記膜を遠位に押下するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記空気透過性の膜は、前記ルーメンを前記膜の近位にある空気室と前記膜の遠位にある流体室とに分割し、ある量の血液を吐出させるステップは、前記空気室の内圧を増大させるステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記本体は、圧縮可能な近位部分を含み、ある量の血液を吐出させるステップは、前記本体の前記圧縮可能な近位部分を圧縮するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項19に記載の方法。
