Claims (21)
- 電池パックであって、
(a)2つ以上の電池セルを備える電池セルアレイであって、前記電池セルの各々が、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造の電極組立体が密封状態で電解質とともに電池ケースに配設され、横方向に配列される、電池セルアレイと、
(b)前記電池パックの動作を制御するために、前記電池セルアレイの上端部に接続される保護回路モジュール(PCM)と、
(c)前記電池セルアレイおよび前記保護回路モジュールが配設されるパックケースと、
(d)前記電池パックの充電および放電中の前記電池セルアレイの厚さの増大を受容する空間を提供するために、前記パックケースと前記電池セルアレイとの間に装着されるスペーサと、
を備える電池パック。 - 前記スペーサが、前記電池セルアレイの厚さの5から10%に相当する厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記パックケースがプラスチック材料で形成され、前記スペーサがシート部材またはプラスチック材料で形成される、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記シート部材が、ノーメックス材料で形成される、請求項3に記載の電池パック。
- 前記スペーサには、その頂部および/または底部に接着剤が設けられ、それによって、前記スペーサが、前記電池セルアレイの外側部に位置決めされる、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記スペーサが、前記スペーサが所定の幅を有する状態で、その2つ以上の縁部で前記電池セルの頂部および底部に装着される、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記スペーサが、前記電池セルの各々の幅の5から20%に相当する幅を有する、請求項6に記載の電池パック。
- 前記スペーサが、ストリップ部材である、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記スペーサが、前記電池セルの頂部または底部が露出される状態で、前記スペーサが前記電池セルに同時に装着される格子構造を有するように構成される、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記保護回路モジュールが、抵抗溶接により前記電池セルの電極端子に接続される接続端子と、前記電池セルを相互に電気的に接続するための金属板と、前記電池パックの前記動作を制御するための保護回路と、を備える、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルを相互に電気的に接続するための前記金属板が、前記保護回路モジュールの頂部に形成される、請求項10に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルのカソード端子と前記保護回路モジュールとの間の電気的接続領域は、前記保護回路モジュールの前記それぞれの接続端子の頂部に取り付けられる導電板が溶接され、それによって前記導電板が前記電池セルの前記それぞれのカソード端子を包囲する構造を有するように構成される、請求項10に記載の電池パック。
- 前記導電板の各々が、前記保護回路モジュールの前記接続端子の対応する1つの前記頂部に取り付けられる第1の接続部と、前記電池セルの対応する1つの前記カソード端子の頂部に取り付けられる第2の接続部と、を備える、請求項12に記載の電池パック。
- 前記導電板の各々がニッケル板であり、前記電池セルの前記カソード端子の各々がアルミニウム端子である、請求項12に記載の電池パック。
- 前記パックケースが、前記電池セルアレイおよび前記保護回路モジュールが配設される下部ケースと、前記電池セルアレイおよび前記保護回路モジュールが定位置に固定されるように、前記下部ケースを覆うための上部ケースと、を備える、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記下部ケースが、前記電池セルが配設される電池セル装着部と、前記保護回路モジュールが配設される保護回路モジュール装着部とに仕切られ、
仕切り壁が、前記電池セル装着部と前記保護回路モジュール装着部との間の境界面に形成され、開口部であって、前記開口部を通して、前記電池セルの電極端子が前記保護回路モジュールに向けて露出される開口部が、前記電池セルの前記電極端子と前記保護回路モジュールとの間の電気的接続領域に対応する前記仕切り壁の一部分に形成される、
請求項15に記載の電池パック。 - 前記保護回路モジュール装着部が、前記電池セルの前記電極端子と前記保護回路モジュールとの間の前記電気的接続領域を支持するための支持部を備える、請求項16に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルアレイが、3つの電池セルを備える、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルの各々が、パウチ型二次電池である、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池パックに電流を入力し、前記電池パックから電流を出力し、前記電池パックを往来する情報を送受信する外部入出力端子が、陥凹した形態で前記保護回路モジュールの前部に装着される、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
