Abstract

Claims (36)
- 皮膚真菌症の処置に使用される装置であって、
少なくとも一つのRF電極を含み、RFエネルギー、光放射エネルギー、及び超音波エネルギーからなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの形態のエネルギーを、爪板及び通常爪板により覆われる組織の少なくとも一つに適用するべく動作可能なアプリケータであって、皮膚真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるのに十分な温度まで前記爪板及び組織を加熱するアプリケータと、
通常前記爪板により覆われる前記組織の温度を受信かつ分析するべく動作可能な少なくとも一つの熱モニタリング機構と
を含む装置。 - 前記光放射エネルギーは400nmから2000nmの波長内にある、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アプリケータは、前記爪板を通して400nmから2000nmの波長を有する放射線を適用するべく動作可能である、請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記アプリケータは、通常前記爪板により覆われる組織に400nmから2000nmの波長を有する放射線を適用するべく動作可能である、請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記アプリケータは、前記皮膚にRFエネルギーを適用するべく動作可能な少なくとも2つのRF電極をさらに含み、前記RF電極同士の距離が調整可能である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アプリケータはまた、前記皮膚にRFエネルギーを適用するべく動作可能な少なくとも2つのRF電極を含み、前記電極は、前記電極と前記皮膚との適切な結合を可能とするべく調整可能である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記RFエネルギーは、少なくとも2つのばね付勢RF電極を含むアプリケータにより前記皮膚に適用され、前記電極同士の距離が自動的に調整可能である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記RFエネルギーは、少なくとも一つのRF電極を含むアプリケータにより適用される、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記RFエネルギーは、離間パターンに配列された複数の電圧適用素子により適用される、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記RFエネルギーは連続又はパルスモードで適用される、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記組織に生成される熱は、被処置組織及びまわりの組織に望ましくない損傷をもたらすことなく前記真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるのに十分である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記超音波エネルギーは、少なくとも一つの超音波トランスデューサを含むアプリケータにより調整可能な角度にて前記組織に適用される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記超音波エネルギーは、前記組織に適用される超音波ビームを一の入射角にて放出するべく動作可能な少なくとも一つの超音波トランスデューサを含むアプリケータにより適用され、放出された前記ビームの少なくとも一部の伝播が所望組織層においてもたらされる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記超音波エネルギーは、通常爪板により覆われる組織に超音波エネルギーを適用するべく、かつ、前記病原体に影響を与えるのに十分な熱を前記組織に生成するべく動作可能な少なくとも一つの超音波トランスデューサを含むアプリケータにより適用される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記超音波エネルギーは、超音波ビームの前記組織への放出及び前記組織からの受け入れの少なくとも一つを行うべく、かつ、放出され及び受け入れられたビーム信号をコントローラへ通信するべく動作可能な少なくとも一つの超音波トランスデューサを含むアプリケータにより適用され、前記コントローラは、前記組織を通る前記ビームの伝播速度の変化を分析して前記組織の温度の変化を決定する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、インピーダンス及び超音波伝播速度からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの温度変化インジケータをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記RF電極は、離間パターンで配列された複数の電圧適用素子の一パターンを一表面上に有する少なくとも一つのキャリアを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記RF電極は、
離間パターンで配列された複数の電圧適用素子の一パターンを一表面上に有する少なくとも一つのキャリアと、
前記RF電極を使用して、前記通常爪により覆われる組織にわたる熱領域に直線掃引波効果を適用し、前記真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるべく動作可能なコントローラと
を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記加熱された直線領域に適用される連続した掃引組織加熱波効果同士の時間間隔が、人間の皮膚の熱緩和時間よりも長い、請求項18に記載の装置。
- 温度を感知するべく動作可能な少なくとも一つのセンサと、
インピーダンス及び超音波伝播速度からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの温度変化指示インジケータと
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記RFエネルギーの周波数は300kHzから40MHzの範囲にある、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 皮膚真菌症の処置に使用される方法であって、
一以上のRFエネルギー供給電極を通常爪板により覆われる組織に適用することと、
皮膚真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるのに十分な温度まで少なくとも通常爪板により覆われる組織を加熱するべくRF誘導電流を生成することと
を含む方法。 - 前記通常爪により覆われる組織を照射して前記真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるのに十分な熱を前記組織に生成することをさらに含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記爪板の下に位置する爪板組織を通して照射して当該組織をさらに加熱することをさらに含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 被処置組織に望ましくない損傷をもたらすことなく真菌症の病原体に実質的な熱的影響を与えるのに十分な温度レベルまで前記組織を加熱する、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記エネルギーは連続及びパルス形態で供給される、請求項22から24のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- さらに超音波エネルギーを前記通常爪により覆われる組織に適用して前記真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるのに十分な熱を前記組織に生成する、請求項22に記載の方法。
- さらに温度及び温度変化を受信かつ分析する、請求項22に記載の方法。
- さらに超音波ビームの前記組織への放出及び前記組織からの受け入れを行うべく、かつ、前記組織を通る前記ビームの伝播速度の変化を分析して前記組織の温度の変化を決定する、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記変化及び所定処置プロトコルに応じて処置パラメータを調整することをさらに含む、請求項28又は29に記載の方法。
- さらに前記通常爪板により覆われる組織にわたる組織加熱掃引波効果を生成して前記真菌症の病原体に影響を与える、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱された同じ直線領域に適用される連続した掃引組織加熱波効果同士の時間間隔が、人間の皮膚の熱緩和時間よりも長い、請求項31に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱された同じ直線領域に適用される連続した掃引組織加熱波効果同士の時間間隔を有するパルス形態で前記エネルギーを適用することは、人間の皮膚の熱緩和時間よりも長い、請求項22から24のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記通常爪板により覆われる組織層に超音波エネルギーを適用して皮膚真菌症の病原体に影響を与えるのに十分な熱を前記組織に生成することをさらに含む、請求項22から24のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- さらに前記通常爪板により覆われる組織のまわりに組織加熱掃引波効果を生成して前記真菌症の病原体に影響を与える、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱された同じ直線領域に適用される連続した掃引組織加熱波効果同士の時間間隔が、人間の皮膚の熱緩和時間よりも長い、請求項35に記載の方法。
