Abstract
Description
本発明は、概して、細菌の処置に関し、より具体的には、細菌を処置するための方法、デバイスおよびシステムに関する。
細菌を処置するための例示的方法は、直接または間接接触を通して処置デバイスの一部と細菌を結合するステップと、処置デバイスを用いて機械的応力エネルギーを発生させるステップと、処置デバイスを用いて電磁エネルギーを発生させるステップとを含んでもよい。機械的応力エネルギーおよび電磁エネルギーは、細菌との結合の間、処置デバイスから細菌に伝送されてもよい。細菌は、処置デバイスによって発生される機械的応力エネルギーおよび電磁エネルギーの両方を用いて処置され、細菌に死滅効果を生成してもよい。
図面を参照すると、組み合わせられた超音波等の機械的応力エネルギーおよび光等の電磁エネルギーを用いて細菌(例えば、以下の説明に使用される一実施例である、細菌生物膜)を処置するための種々の実施形態が、以下に説明される。他のタイプの機械的応力エネルギーおよび電磁エネルギーが、本開示と一貫した他の処置設定および実施形態において使用されてもよいが、以下の例示的実施形態は、簡略化のために、概して、超音波および光について言及することを理解されたい。
Claims (32)
- 細菌を処置するための方法であって、
直接または間接接触を通して処置デバイスの一部と前記細菌を結合するステップと、
前記処置デバイスを用いて機械的応力エネルギーを発生させるステップと、
前記処置デバイスを用いて電磁エネルギーを発生させるステップと、
前記細菌との結合の間、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを前記処置デバイスから前記細菌に伝送するステップと、
前記処置デバイスによって発生される前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーの両方を用いて前記細菌を処置し、前記細菌に死滅効果を生成するステップと、を含む、方法。 - 前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを伝送するステップはさらに、
前記細菌との直接または間接接触を通して結合される前記処置デバイスの部分から前記機械的応力エネルギーまたは前記電磁エネルギーのうちの少なくとも1つを伝送することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記細菌を処置するステップは、処置されている前記細菌の場所において、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを空間的に重複させ、前記死滅効果を増進させることを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記細菌を処置するステップは、前記機械的応力エネルギーまたは前記電磁エネルギーのうちの少なくとも1つをパルス化することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記機械的応力エネルギーまたは前記電磁エネルギーのうちの少なくとも1つは、1msを上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ100ms未満またはそれに等しいパルス繰り返し間隔を用いてパルス化される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記機械的応力エネルギーまたは前記電磁エネルギーのうちの少なくとも1つは、100μsを上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ2ms未満またはそれに等しいパルス持続時間を用いてパルス化される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記細菌を処置するステップは、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを時間的に交互およびインターリーブさせることを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記細菌を処置するステップは、少なくとも部分的に、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを時間的に重複させることを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記機械的応力エネルギーは、超音波を含み、前記機械的応力エネルギーを伝送するステップは、前記超音波を伝送することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波は、50kPaを上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ1MPa未満またはそれに等しい前記細菌における圧力を用いて伝送される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波は、20kHzを上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ5MHz未満またはそれに等しい周波数を用いて伝送される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波は、1.1%を上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ11%未満またはそれに等しいデューティサイクルを用いて伝送される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波は、10mW/cm2を上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ1W/cm2未満またはそれに等しい平均音強度を用いて伝送される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記電磁エネルギーは、光を含み、前記電磁エネルギーを伝送するステップは、前記光を伝送することを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記光は、400nmを上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ450nm未満またはそれに等しい波長を用いて伝送される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記光は、500nmを上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ660nm未満またはそれに等しい波長を用いて伝送される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記光は、2%を上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ100%未満またはそれに等しいデューティサイクルを用いて伝送される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記光は、5mW/cm2を上回るかまたはそれに等しく、かつ500mW/cm2未満またはそれに等しい平均光強度を用いて伝送される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記細菌は、生物膜を含み、前記細菌を処置するステップは、前記生物膜を処置することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記細菌は、浮遊性細菌を含み、前記細菌を処置するステップは、前記浮遊性細菌を処置することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 細菌を処置するための処置デバイスであって、
機械的応力エネルギーを発生させるように動作可能な機械的応力エネルギー放出部分と、
電磁エネルギーを発生させるように動作可能な電磁エネルギー放出部分と、
前記細菌と直接または間接接触するように結合され、前記結合の間、少なくとも前記機械的応力エネルギーを前記細菌に伝送するように構成される、接触部分と、
を備え、前記機械的応力エネルギー放出部分および前記電磁エネルギー放出部分は、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーの組み合わせを用いて前記細菌を処置し、前記細菌に死滅効果を生成するように動作可能である、処置デバイス。 - 前記機械的応力エネルギー放出部分および前記電磁エネルギー放出部分は、前記処置デバイスが、処置されている前記細菌の場所において、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを空間的に重複させ、前記死滅効果を増進させるよう構成されるように、相互に対して位置付けられる、請求項21に記載の処置デバイス。
- 前記機械的応力エネルギー放出部分または前記電磁エネルギー放出部分のうちの少なくとも1つを制御し、パルス化されたエネルギーを放出するように構成される、コントローラをさらに備える、請求項21に記載の処置デバイス。
- 前記機械的応力エネルギー放出部分は、超音波を発生させるように動作可能な超音波放出部分を含み、前記電磁エネルギー放出部分は、光を発生させるように動作可能な発光部分を含む、請求項21に記載の処置デバイス。
- 前記接触部分は、第1の端部および第2の端部を有する、固体光−音響要素を含み、前記第1の端部は、前記超音波放出部分および前記発光部分に結合され、前記第2の端部は、前記細菌と直接または間接接触するように結合され、前記結合の間、前記超音波および前記光を前記細菌に伝送するように構成される、請求項24に記載の処置デバイス。
- 前記光−音響要素は、アクリル材料を含む、請求項25に記載の処置デバイス。
- 前記接触部分は、光−音響回転要素を含む、請求項24に記載の処置デバイス。
- 前記発光部分は、前記超音波放出部分と別個に形成され、前記発光部分は、発光プローブを含む、請求項24に記載の処置デバイス。
- デバイス本体をさらに備え、前記超音波放出部分および前記発光部分は、前記デバイス本体上に提供される、請求項24に記載の処置デバイス。

- 機械的応力エネルギーおよび電磁エネルギーを用いて細菌を処置するためのシステムであって、

少なくとも1つのプロセッサと、
前記少なくとも1つのプロセッサに結合されるメモリであって、前記少なくとも1つのプロセッサによって実行されると、前記システムに、前記機械的応力エネルギーおよび前記電磁エネルギーを用いて前記細菌を処置させる、命令を含む、メモリと、を備える、システム。
