Abstract
Description
(i)防弾繊維層の片面または両面に水性アイオノマー分散液の塗料を塗布することによって第一の被覆繊維層を作製するステップ、
(ii)それによって形成された第一の被覆繊維層を20〜200℃の間の温度で実質的に乾燥させるステップ、
(iii)ステップ(i)および(ii)の工程によって作製される第二の被覆繊維層を、アイオノマー塗膜が第一および第二の被覆繊維層の間に少なくとも配置されるように置くことによって複合布を形成するステップ、
(iv)必要な枚数の被覆繊維層の層を有する多層複合品が形成されるまで、ステップ(iii)のやり方で複合繊維層上に後続の被覆繊維層を置くステップ(この場合、多層複合品中の固体アイオノマーの重量分率は5〜16%の間である)、および
(v)任意選択により、しかし好ましくは上記ステップ(iv)で形成された複合品を約120〜200℃の間の温度で約200〜8000ポンド/平方インチの圧力で約5〜30分の間プレス加工するステップ、
を含む防弾複合品の作製方法に関する。
(i)防弾繊維層の片面または両面に水性アイオノマー分散液の塗料を塗布することによって第一の被覆繊維層を作製するステップ、

(iii)ステップ(i)および(ii)の工程によって作製される第二の被覆繊維層を、アイオノマー塗膜が第一および第二の被覆繊維層の間に少なくとも配置されるように置くことによって複合布を形成するステップ、
(iv)必要な枚数の被覆繊維層の層を有する多層複合品が形成されるまで、ステップ(iii)のやり方で複合繊維層上に後続の被覆繊維層を置くステップ(この場合、多層複合品中の固体アイオノマーの重量分率は5〜16%の間である)、および
(v)任意選択により、しかし好ましくは上記で形成された複合品を約120〜200℃の間の温度で約200〜8000ポンド/平方インチの圧力で約5〜30分の間プレス加工するステップ、

Claims (22)
- 1枚または層状に重ね合わせた複数枚のスタックを含む耐衝撃性複合品であって、各スタックが2枚以上の繊維層を含み、少なくとも2枚の前記繊維層の間に非溶融加工性アイオノマーが配置され、前記非溶融加工性アイオノマーが少なくとも85%中和され、ASTM D1238の190℃メルトフロー試験で<0.05g/10分のメルトフローインデックスを有する、複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが、5モル%〜15モル%の間の酸コモノマーを含む、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが、8モル%〜12モル%の間の酸コモノマーを含む、請求項2に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが少なくとも95%中和される、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが少なくとも100%中和される、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが、前記繊維層の少なくとも幾枚かにおいて前記繊維を部分的に被覆する塗料の形態である、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが、前記繊維層の少なくとも2枚の間の別個の層を形成する、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記繊維層が繊維束を含み、前記束のいずれの束も厚さの少なくとも半分はアイオノマーが含浸しないままである、請求項7に記載の複合品。
- 前記繊維層の少なくとも幾枚かが不織布を含む、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記繊維層が少なくとも部分的に製織されている、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 少なくとも1枚のスタックが、少なくとも1対の異なる組成の隣接した繊維層を含む、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記繊維層がポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)を含む、請求項11に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが、ナトリウム、カリウム、リチウム、銀、水銀、銅(I)、ベリリウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウム、銅(II)、カドミウム、水銀、スズ、鉛、鉄、コバルト、ニッケル、亜鉛、アルミニウム、スカンジウム、鉄、イットリウム、チタン、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、バナジウム、タンタル、タングステン、クロム、セリウム、鉄、およびこれらの組合せからなる群から選択されるイオンで中和される、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記繊維層が少なくとも部分的に撥水材料を塗布される、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記撥水材料が、少なくとも部分的にフッ素化されている材料を含む、請求項14に記載の複合品。
- 前記フッ素化された材料が、部分フッ素化アクリレートコポリマーまたは部分フッ素化メタクリレートコポリマーである、請求項15に記載の複合品。
- 前記アイオノマーが、乾燥重量で30%までの可塑剤、界面活性剤、およびこれらの混合物または組合せからなる群から選択される材料をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の複合品。
- 前記可塑剤が長鎖脂肪酸である、請求項17に記載の複合品。
- 前記可塑剤が1−デカノールである、請求項17に記載の複合品。
- 防弾複合品の作製方法であって、
(i)防弾繊維層の片面または両面に水性アイオノマー分散液の塗料を塗布することによって第一の被覆繊維層を作製するステップ、
(ii)それによって形成された前記第一の被覆繊維層を20℃〜200℃の間の温度で実質的に乾燥させるステップ、
(iii)ステップ(i)および(ii)の工程によって作製される第二の被覆繊維層を、前記アイオノマー塗膜が前記第一および第二の繊維層の間に少なくとも配置されるように置くことによって複合布を形成するステップ、
(iv)必要な枚数の被覆繊維層の層を有する多層複合品が形成されるまで、ステップ(iii)のやり方で前記複合繊維層上に後続の被覆繊維層を置くステップ、および
(v)任意選択により、上記ステップ(iv)で形成された前記複合品を約120〜200℃の間の温度で約200〜8000ポンド/平方インチの圧力で約5〜30分の間プレス加工するステップ、
を含み、
この場合、多層複合布中の固体アイオノマーの重量分率は5〜16%の間である、
方法。 - 前記複合品が15枚〜200枚の間の被覆繊維層を含むまで、前記ステップ(iv)が繰り返される、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記複合品が40層〜80層の間の被覆された布を含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
