Abstract
【解決手段】一実施形態では、脈管構造閉鎖デバイスは、脈管(10)内で展開可能な拡張式支持フレーム(110)と、拡張式支持フレーム(110)によって少なくとも部分的に支持される封止膜(105)と、を含む。支持フレーム(110)が拡張すると、脈管構造閉鎖デバイス(100)は、脈管(10)壁に存在する穿刺部位(15)に対して封止膜(105)を腔内から位置決めするように構成される。

Description
本出願は、2009年10月13日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/251,054号及び2009年12月10日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/285,503号に対する優先権を主張し、その両方とも参照により全体を本明細書に組み込むものとする。
図を参照すると、図1は、一実施形態により脈管10内に移植されたVCD100を示す。VCD100は、この実施形態によれば、封止膜105と、封止膜105の周囲の少なくとも一部に沿って封止膜105に形状及び支持を提供する周囲支持フレーム110を含む。図1に示すように、VCD100は、患者の脈管10内に腔内から移植され、そこに位置決めされて固定され、脈管10の壁を通って存在する脈管穿刺部位15(本明細書では区別無く「アクセス穴」、「アクセス部位」、「脈管穿刺」、「穿刺穴」、「穿刺部位」又は他の同様のその変形で呼ぶ)における、又はその付近の標的区域を少なくとも一時的に封止する。一実施形態では、VCD100は、穿刺部位15の止血が生じるまで、周囲支持フレーム110の所定の形状及び/又は自然の安定した形状になる傾向(例えば、形状記憶材料など)により、所定の位置に保持される。他の実施形態では、本明細書でさらに詳細に述べるように、VCD100の全部又は一部は生体分解性であり、それによって、これらの構成要素はある期間の後に分解、吸収、又は浸食することができ、したがって脈管内に残るVCD100は、あったとしても一部にすぎない。
