Claims (21)

  1. シリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズの製造方法であって、以下の諸工程:
    前部表面および後部表面を持つ、シリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズ本体を製造する工程、ここで水または水性溶液中での水和処理後、湿潤した際の該レンズ本体の該前部表面および該後部表面の少なくとも一方が、平滑な表面であり、かつ、該平滑な表面から、該レンズ本体の内部に伸びている多数の窪みを含み、該多数の窪みは150nmから1,500nm未満までの範囲の平均径および900μm2当たり100個の窪み〜900μm2当たり1,200個の窪みなる範囲の平均密度のうち少なくとも一つを持ち、かつ該レンズ本体が、所定の態様のプラズマ処理に付されておらず、該レンズ本体が、その製造後に重合性膨潤剤で処理されておらず、あるいは該レンズ本体が、該プラズマ処理および該膨潤剤での処理両者に付されていない、
    を含むことを特徴とする、前記方法。
  2. 前記レンズ本体の製造段階が、以下の成分:少なくとも1種のシリコーン-含有モノマー、少なくとも1種のシリコーン-含有マクロマー、少なくとも1種のシリコーン-含有プレポリマー、またはこれらの混合物;少なくとも1種の親水性モノマー;および該反応性成分を架橋するのに有効な少なくとも1種の架橋剤、
    を含有する反応性成分を重合する工程を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
  3. 前記重合段階が、少なくとも部分的に、非-極性材料を含むコンタクトレンズ用金型内で起る、請求項2に記載の方法。
  4. 前記非-極性材料が、ポリプロピレンを含む、請求項3記載の方法。
  5. 前記非-極性材料が、有核熱可塑性ポリプロピレン樹脂である、請求項3記載の方法。
  6. 前記反応性成分が、700ダルトン未満の分子量を持つシリコーン-含有モノマーを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
  7. 前記反応性成分が、700ダルトン〜2,000ダルトンなる範囲の分子量を持つシリコーン-含有マクロマーを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
  8. 前記反応性成分が、2,000ダルトンを越える分子量を持つシリコーン-含有プレポリマーを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
  9. 前記レンズ本体の製造段階が、希釈剤の非存在下、反応性成分を重合する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  10. 前記レンズ本体が、水または水性溶液内で該レンズ本体を水和処理する前に、有機溶媒または有機溶媒成分を含む水性溶液による抽出処理に付されることがない、請求項1に記載方法。
  11. 水または水性溶液中での水和処理後、湿潤した際の該レンズ本体の該前部表面および該後部表面の少なくとも一方が、150nmから1,500nm未満までの範囲の平均径および900μm2当たり100個の窪み〜900μm2当たり1,200個の窪みなる範囲の平均密度の両方を持つ多数の窪みを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  12. 前部表面および後部表面を含む、シリコーンヒドロゲルレンズ本体を包含し、ここで水または水性溶液中で水和させた後、湿潤した際の該レンズ本体の該前部表面および該後部表面の少なくとも一方が、平滑な表面であり、該平滑な表面から、該レンズ本体の内部に伸びている多数の窪みを含み、該多数の窪みは150nmから1,500nm未満までの範囲の平均径を持ち、かつ該レンズ本体が、所定の態様のプラズマ処理に付されておらず、該レンズ本体が、その製造後に重合性膨潤剤で処理されておらず、あるいは該レンズ本体が、該プラズマ処理および該膨潤剤での処理の両者に付されていない、ことを特徴とする、シリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズ。
  13. 前記多数の窪みが、130nmから630nm未満なる範囲の平均径を持つ、請求項12記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  14. 前記多数の窪みが、4nm〜100nmなる範囲の平均深さを持つ、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  15. 前記多数の窪みが、900μm2当たり5個の窪み〜900μm2当たり1,500個の窪みなる範囲の平均密度を持つ、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  16. 前記レンズ本体の前記前部表面および前記後部表面の少なくとも一方が、5nmRMS〜30nmRMSなる範囲の平均表面粗さを持つ、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  17. 前記水または前記水性溶液中での水和処理の少なくとも12時間後に、前記レンズ本体の前記前部表面および前記後部表面の少なくとも一方が、100°未満の前進接触角および5秒を越えるウォーターブレークアップ時間を持つ、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  18. 前記レンズ本体が、少なくとも20%なる膨潤ファクタを持つ、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  19. 前記レンズ本体が、完全にまたは部分的に硬化され、かつ非-極性材料を含むコンタクトレンズ用金型と直接接触状態にある、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  20. 前記レンズ本体が、以下の成分:
    少なくとも1種のシリコーン-含有モノマー、少なくとも1種のシリコーン-含有マクロマー、少なくとも1種のシリコーン-含有プレポリマー、またはこれらの混合物を含む反応性成分;
    少なくとも1種の親水性モノマー;および
    重合中に前記反応性成分を架橋して、ポリマーを生成する、少なくとも1種の架橋剤、
    を含有する重合性組成物の反応生成物を含む、請求項12に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  21. 前部表面および後部表面を含むプラズマで処理されていないシリコーンハイドロゲルレンズ本体を包含し、該前部表面および該後部表面の少なくとも一方が平滑な表面であり、かつ、該平滑な表面から、該レンズ本体の内部に伸びている多数の窪みを含み、該多数の窪みは900μm2当たり100個の窪み〜900μm2当たり1,200個の窪みなる範囲の平均密度を持つことを特徴とする、シリコーンヒドロゲルコンタクトレンズ。
