Abstract
【解決手段】燃料タンク5内で気相となる部分および脱気孔15間が通路41で連通され、吐出口14から吐出される燃料の圧力が検出手段45で検出され、吸入フィルタ39が目詰まりを生じていない状態での前記圧力よりも前記検出手段45の検出値が低いときに、フィルタ目詰まり判定手段46は吸入フィルタ39で目詰まりが生じていると判定する。

Claims (5)
- 電動モータ(8)と、該電動モータ(8)で回転駆動される回転部材(11)が収容されるポンプ室(12)を有する燃料ポンプ(9)とが、前記ポンプ室(12)に燃料を吸入するための吸入口(13)、前記ポンプ室(12)からの燃料を吐出する吐出口(14)、ならびに前記ポンプ室(12)で発生したベーパーを排出するための脱気孔(15)を有するポンプハウジング(10)に収容、保持され、燃料タンク(5)内の燃料を濾過して前記燃料ポンプ(9)に供給するための吸入フィルタ(39)が前記吸入口(13)に接続される燃料供給装置において、前記燃料タンク(5)内で気相となる部分および前記脱気孔(15)間を連通する通路(41)を形成するベーパ排出通路手段(40)と、前記電動モータ(8)に流れる電流値または前記吐出口(14)から吐出される燃料の圧力を検出する検出手段(45)と、前記吸入フィルタ(39)が目詰まりを生じていない状態で電動モータ(8)に一定電圧を印加したときの前記電流値または前記圧力よりも前記検出手段(45)の検出値が低いときに前記吸入フィルタ(39)で目詰まりが生じていると判定するフィルタ目詰まり判定手段(46)とを備えることを特徴とする燃料供給装置。
- 電動モータ(8)と、該電動モータ(8)で回転駆動される回転部材(11)が収容されるポンプ室(12)を有する燃料ポンプ(9)とが、前記ポンプ室(12)に燃料を吸入するための吸入口、前記ポンプ室(12)からの燃料を吐出する吐出口(14)、ならびに前記ポンプ室(12)で発生したベーパーを排出するための脱気孔(15)を有するポンプハウジング(10)に収容、保持され、燃料タンク(5)内の燃料を濾過して前記燃料ポンプ(9)に供給するための吸入フィルタ(39)が前記吸入口(13)に接続される燃料供給装置において、前記燃料タンク(5)内で気相となる部分および前記脱気孔(15)間を連通する通路(41)を形成するベーパ排出通路手段(40)と、前記電動モータ(8)に流れる電流値または前記吐出口(14)から吐出される燃料の圧力を検出する検出手段(45)と、前記吸入フィルタ(39)が目詰まりを生じていない状態で電動モータ(8)に一定電圧を印加したときの前記電流値または前記圧力よりも前記検出手段(45)の検出値が低くなる回数が一定回数以上となったときに前記吸入フィルタ(39)で目詰まりが生じていると判定するフィルタ目詰まり判定手段(46)とを備えることを特徴とする燃料供給装置。
- 前記フィルタ目詰まり判定手段(46)は、前記検出手段(45)の検出値が予め定めた閾値を跨ぐ回数が一定回数以上となったときに前記吸入フィルタ(39)で目詰まりが生じていると判定することを特徴とする請求項2記載の燃料供給装置。
- 前記燃料タンク(5)内の燃料残量を検出する燃料残量検出手段(48)を備え、燃料残量が所定量未満であることを前記燃料残量検出手段(48)が検出したときに、前記フィルタ目詰まり判定手段(46)は、目詰まりの有無の判定を停止するか、目詰まりの有無を判定するもののその判定結果を出力しないようにすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の燃料供給装置。
- 前記フィルタ目詰まり判定手段(46)が前記吸入フィルタ(39)の目詰まりが生じていると判定するのに応じて、前記吸入フィルタ(39)で目詰まりが生じていることを報知する報知手段(47)を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の燃料供給装置。
