Abstract

Description
上記課題を解決するための、本発明の溶着装置は、2つの異径の熱可塑性樹脂製チューブである外側チューブ1と内側チューブ2とを嵌め合わせた嵌合体3を支持する支持部材6と、外側チューブ1の外周側に接触するように配置される赤外線透過性の固体ヒートシンク7と、内側チューブ2の内周に接するように内側チューブ2内に挿入される金属棒又は金属チューブ5と、固体ヒートシンク7側に配置され、当該固体ヒートシンク7を通して嵌合体3に赤外線レーザー光4を照射するレーザー光源11とを具備する。
図1は、溶着しようとする異径の2つの熱可塑性樹脂製チューブ1,2を嵌め合わせて嵌合体3を構成した状態を示す。矢印は、赤外線レーザー光4の照射位置を示す。
外側チューブ1:外径0.88mm、厚さ0.04mm
内側チューブ2:外径0.7mm、厚さ0.04mm
金属棒5:材質SUS、外径0.67mm
(チューブ1,2及び金属棒5がそれぞれ密着するよう金属棒の径を選択する。溶着後、金属棒は力学的に容易に抜き取ることができる。)
ファイバーレーザー:波長1.9μm、強度20W、照射時間2.5秒、スポット径 4.4mm
結果:チューブ1,2の接触部全体がチューブの軸方向1.3mmの範囲で溶融一体化した。

結果:チューブ1,2の接触部全体がチューブの軸方向1.1mmの範囲で溶融一体化した。

Claims (8)
- 2つの異径の熱可塑性樹脂チューブである外側チューブと内側チューブとを密着するように嵌め合わせた嵌合体を赤外線レーザー光を用いて加熱溶着する装置であって、
前記嵌合体を支持する支持部材と、
前記外側チューブの外周側に接触するように配置される赤外線透過性の固体ヒートシンクと、
前記内側チューブの内周に接するように内側チューブ内に挿入される金属棒又は金属チューブと、
前記固体ヒートシンク側に配置され、当該固体ヒートシンクを通して前記嵌合体に赤外線レーザー光を照射するレーザー光源とを具備することを特徴とする熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着装置。 - 前記固体ヒートシンクとレーザー光源との間に、前記嵌合体に照射される赤外線レーザー光の断面積を規定するマスクが介設されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着装置。
- 前記嵌合体に照射される赤外線レーザー光の直径が、前記外側チューブの直径以上に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着装置。
- 前記外側チューブの外径が3mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着装置。
- 2つの異径の熱可塑性樹脂チューブである外側チューブと内側チューブとを密着するように嵌め合わせて嵌合体を構成する工程と、
前記小径チューブの内側にそれの内周に接するように金属棒又は金属チューブを挿入する工程と、
前記嵌合体を支持部材上に支持する工程と、
前記外側チューブの外周側に接触するように赤外線透過性の固体ヒートシンクを配置する工程と、
前記固体ヒートシンク側のレーザー光源から当該固体ヒートシンクを通して前記嵌合体に赤外線レーザー光を照射する工程とを含むことを特徴とする熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着方法。 - 前記固体ヒートシンクとレーザー光源との間に、前記嵌合体に照射される赤外線レーザー光の断面積を規定するマスクを介設する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着方法。
- 前記嵌合体に照射される赤外線レーザー光の直径が、前記外側チューブの直径以上に設定されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着方法。
- 前記外側チューブの外径が3mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項5ないし7に記載の熱可塑性樹脂チューブの溶着方法。
