Description

この電動クランプ装置１０は、図１〜図３に示されるように、中空状のボディ１２と、該ボディ１２の内部に設けられた回転駆動部（駆動部）１４と、前記回転駆動部１４の回転駆動力をクランプアーム２０へと伝達する駆動力伝達機構１８と、前記ボディ１２に対して回動自在に設けられるクランプアーム２０とを備える。
ボディ１２は、例えば、鉛直方向（矢印Ａ、Ｂ方向）に長尺な断面略長方形状に形成され、その上部には、側方に突出するように支持部２２が設けられる。この支持部２２は、ボディ１２の側面に対して所定長さだけ水平方向に突出し、その先端には上方に向かって突出した把持部２４が形成される。そして、図２に示されるように、クランプアーム２０が回動したクランプ時において、該クランプアーム２０と支持部２２との間にワークＷがクランプされる。
変位体２８の上部とクランプアーム２０との間には、リンクアーム５０が接続され、該リンクアーム５０は、前記変位体２８に対してローラ３０と共に軸支されると共に、クランプアーム２０のクランプ状態（図２参照）における上方角部に軸支される。そして、リンクアーム５０は、送りねじ軸３６の直線運動を変位体２８を介してクランプアーム２０の回動運動へと変換する。
