Abstract
【解決手段】本発明による有機発光表示装置は、有機発光素子を含む表示基板、前記表示基板上に離隔配置されて、前記表示基板と合着封止された封止基板、及び前記表示基板と前記封止基板との間の空間を埋める充填剤を含み、前記充填剤は、外部から前記封止基板を通して流入されて、前記表示基板の有機発光素子へ向かう外部光を波長帯域ごとに選別的に吸収して透過率を調節する。

Claims (17)
- 有機発光素子を含む表示基板と、
前記表示基板上に離隔配置されて、前記表示基板と合着封止された封止基板と、
前記表示基板と前記封止基板との間の空間を埋める充填剤
とを含み、前記充填剤は、外部から前記封止基板を通して流入されて、前記表示基板の有機発光素子へ向かう外部光を波長帯域ごとに選別的に吸収して透過率を調節することを特徴とする、有機発光表示装置。 - 前記充填剤は、前記外部光のうちの波長が430nm乃至670nmの範囲内に属する光を吸収することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記充填剤に対する前記外部光の波長帯域ごとの透過率は、480nm乃至510nmの範囲内及び580nm乃至610nmの範囲内より520nm乃至560nmの範囲内においてより高いことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記充填剤に対する前記外部光の波長帯域ごとの透過率を示したグラフは、460nm乃至620nmの範囲内において2つの極小点及び1つの極大点を有する4次関数グラフのようなW型に形成されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記2つの極小点は、各々480nm乃至510nmの範囲内及び580nm乃至610nmの範囲内に位置し、前記1つの極大点は、520nm乃至560nmの範囲内に位置することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記有機発光素子の放出光は、80%以上が特定の波長帯域に属し、前記放出光が属する特定の波長帯域は、前記充填剤に対する前記外部光の透過率が相対的に低い波長帯域である480nm乃至510nmの範囲内及び580nm乃至610nmの範囲内と重ならないことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記有機発光素子の放出光の80%以上は、波長が450nm乃至480nmの範囲内、510nm乃至560nmの範囲内、及び600nm乃至650nmの範囲内に属することを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記充填剤は、光吸収物質を含む樹脂を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至7のうちの何れか一つに記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記充填剤は、前記光吸収物質の種類及び含量によって前記外部光の透過率を調節することができることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記樹脂は、ポリカーボネート、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、及びトリアセテートセルロースのうちの一つ以上を含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記光吸収物質は、カーボンブラック、ポリエン系顔料、アゾ系顔料、アゾメチン系顔料、ジインモニウム系顔料、フタロシアニン系顔料、キノン系顔料、インジゴ系顔料、チオインジゴ系顔料、ジオキサジン系顔料、キナクリドン系顔料、イソインドリノン系顔料、金属酸化物、及び金属錯体、及びその他の芳香族炭化水素のうちの一つ以上を含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の有機発光表示装置。
