Abstract
【解決手段】可変動弁装置(40)は、内燃機関(10)の吸気弁(16a,16b)のリフト量を変更することなく吸気弁の作用角を変更可能な可変動弁機構(50)と、内燃機関が所定温度よりも低温の状態で始動する低温始動時の場合には、内燃機関が低温始動時でない場合に比較して、吸気弁の閉弁時期が進角するように可変動弁機構を制御する制御装置(70)と、を備えることを特徴とする。

Description
実施例1の図3のステップS30において制御装置70の制御部は、圧力センサ32の検出結果に基づいて吸気圧が所定値より小さいか否かを判定したが、これに限定されるものではない。例えばステップS30において制御部は、内燃機関10の使用場所の標高が所定値よりも高いか否かを判定してもよい。この場合、内燃機関10は、内燃機関10の使用場所の標高を検出する標高計を備えている。標高計は、検出結果を制御装置70の制御部に伝える。制御部は、ステップS30において、標高計の検出結果に基づいて内燃機関10の使用場所の標高が所定値よりも高いか否かを判定する。所定値をどのように定めるかは、特に限定されるものではないが、本変形例においては一例として、以下のように定める。
内燃機関10が、過給機(排気によって駆動されて吸気を過給する装置)を備えている場合、過給機の出力が小さいほど、吸気圧は小さくなる傾向になる。そこで、制御装置70の制御部は、過給機の出力が小さいほど低温始動時における吸気2弁の閉弁時期の進角量が小さくなるように可変動弁機構50を制御することで、吸気圧が小さくなるほど低温始動時における吸気2弁の閉弁時期の進角量を小さく制御してもよい。
実施例1において制御装置70の制御部は、吸気圧が小さくなるほど吸気2弁の閉弁時期の進角量が小さくなるように可変動弁機構50を制御するにあたり、吸気圧の減少に応じて吸気2弁の閉弁時期の進角量を第1の値および第2の値の2段階に減少させているが、これに限定されるものではない。例えば制御部は、吸気圧の減少に応じて吸気2弁の閉弁時期の進角量を3段階以上に分けて減少させてもよい。

Claims (2)
- 内燃機関の吸気弁のリフト量を変更することなく前記吸気弁の作用角を変更可能な可変動弁機構と、
前記内燃機関が所定温度よりも低温の状態で始動する低温始動時の場合には、前記内燃機関が前記低温始動時でない場合に比較して、前記吸気弁の閉弁時期が進角するように前記可変動弁機構を制御する制御装置と、を備えることを特徴とする可変動弁装置。 - 前記制御装置は、前記内燃機関に吸入される空気の圧力が小さくなるほど前記吸気弁の前記閉弁時期の進角量が小さくなるように前記可変動弁機構を制御する請求項1記載の可変動弁装置。
