Abstract
【解決手段】低温始動開始時のクランキング時、可変動弁システムを遅角状態または大幅に進角に制御するか排気弁を開状態となし、エンジンの有効圧縮比を低下せしめ、クランキング回転数が増加した時点で、進角状態に制御し、同時に燃料を噴射して、エンジンの回転数を高め、燃焼が安定した時点で遅角状態に制御する。

Description
ディーゼルエンジン、或いは、予混合圧縮着火エンジンでは、エンジンの圧縮行程に伴って生じるガスの温度上昇によって、噴射された燃料を自着火している。燃料の自着火は、温度が高く、圧力が高い条件でのみ行われる。燃料にもよるが、温度1000K、圧力1MPa以上でないと自着火に至らない。
始動時に、IVCをBDCに近い位置に設定し、始動後は、IVCを遅らせることは開示されているが、クランキング時にも有効圧縮比が高い状態にあり、始動時の不具合を解決するには至らない。
上述の課題を解決するため、ある側面において本発明は、エンジンをスタータ(或いはモータ発電機)で再始動する際、吸気弁の状態を通常の状態より遅角した状態から、経過時間と共に、徐々に通常の吸気弁の状態に制御する手段を具備したことを特徴とする圧縮着火エンジンである。
この動作によって、クランキング中のグロープラグ、或いは電気ヒータへの電力供給が一次低減されるので、スタータへの電力供給が確保され、始動性を向上することができる。

等があげられる。
ベーン本体22は、油圧ハウジング23の中に格納され、フロントカバー24で、シールされる。油圧ベーン本体22には、4つのベーンが設けられている。このベーンの片側に油圧を加えることによって、油圧ハウジング23の中で、油圧ベーン本体22と油圧ハウジング23の位相を変えることができる。この位相差によって、IVCを運転中に変えることができる。この場合、IVOも同時に変化する。
Claims (7)
- エンジンの運転状態に応じて、吸気弁の閉タイミングまたはリフト量が所定状態となるように制御手段によって制御される調整機構を有する可変動弁システムを具備した圧縮着火エンジンにおいて、低温始動開始時のクランキング時には、可変動弁システムの前記吸気弁閉タイミングまたはリフト量を制御することによりエンジンの有効圧縮比を下げるようになし、クランキング回転数が高まった時点で、可変動弁システムの吸気弁を所定の進角状態とするかリフト量を制御して、エンジンの有効圧縮比を高め、燃焼が安定した後は、運転状態によって定まる所定の吸気弁タイミングまたはリフト量となるように制御する手段を具備したことを特徴とする圧縮着火エンジン。
- 前記可変動弁システムとして、エンジンのクランクキングの前、或いはクランキングと同時に前記吸気弁の閉タイミング、リフトの一方或いは両方を変えることができる調整機構と回転数がゼロ近傍から前記吸気弁動作に関する情報を得ることができるセンサを具備したことを特徴とする第1項記載の圧縮着火エンジン。
- 回転数、アクセルペダルの踏み込み量によって決定される燃料噴射量、噴射タイミングの片方、或いは両方を、シリンダ充填空気量、前記吸気弁の状態(リフト、タイミング)の片方、或いは両方の情報で修正する手段を具備したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧縮着火エンジン。
- エンジンの運転状態に応じて、吸気弁の閉タイミングまたはリフト量が所定状態となるように制御手段によって制御される調整機構を有する可変動弁システムを具備した圧縮着火エンジンにおいて、低温始動開始時のクランキング時には、排気弁を常時開の状態に維持しエンジンの有効圧縮比を下げ、回転数が上昇した時点で、前記排気弁を通常の動作に戻し、運転状態によって定まる所定の吸気弁タイミングまたはリフト量となるように制御する手段を具備したことを特徴とする圧縮着火エンジン。
- エンジンをスタータ或いはモータ発電機で再始動する際、吸気弁の状態を通常の状態に対し遅角した状態から、経過時間と共に、徐々に通常の吸気弁の状態に制御する手段を具備したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧縮着火エンジン。
- エンジン停止時に、前記吸気弁閉タイミングが下死点より乖離した状態になるように制御する電気的な信号を、前記制御手段に伝送した後、エンジンの停止信号を出力する制御ユニットを具備したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧縮着火エンジン。
- エンジン始動時において、クランキング中は、グロープラグ、或いは電気ヒータへの電力供給を遮断するか、低減する手段を具備したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧縮着火エンジン。
