Abstract
【課題】バックライトアセンブリ及びそれを有する表示装置を提供すること。
【解決手段】バックライトアセンブリは導光板及び光源を含む。導光板は、画像を表示する表示領域と重複して、第1側面及び第1側面と第1方向に離隔される第2側面を有する第1導光部、並びに、第1導光部下部で第1側面と第2側面との間に配置される第2導光部を含む。光源は、第1導光部の下部及び第2導光部の側部に配置される。従って、表示領域において輝度が均一となる。

Description
光源221はPCB222上に実装されてPCB222に電気的に連結される。光源221及びPCB222は、第2導光部213の第1及び第2側面214a、214bに対して平行に配置される。光源221の出光面221aは、第2導光部213の第1及び第2側面214a、214bのうち少なくとも一つと向かい合う。光源221は発光ダイオード、冷陰極蛍光管(CCFL)などを含む。

Claims (11)
- 第1側面及び前記第1側面と第1方向に離隔される第2側面を有する第1導光部、並びに、前記第1導光部の下部で前記第1側面と前記第2側面との間に配置される第2導光部を含む導光板と、
前記第1導光部の下部及び前記第2導光部の側部に配置される光源と、を含むことを特徴とするバックライトアセンブリ。 - 前記2導光部は、前記第1側面と実質的に平行である第3側面及び前記第3側面から前記第1方向に離隔される第4側面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。
- 前記第2導光部は、前記第1導光部の下部に配置され、
前記第2導光部の第3及び第4側面は、前記第1側面と前記第3側面との間に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。 - 前記光源は、前記第3側面に対して平行に配置されるか、前記光源は前記第3側面に対して鋭角をなすか、前記光源は前記第3側面に対して鈍角をなすか、前記光源は前記第3側面に対して垂直に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。
- 前記第2導光部の下面は、第1及び第2傾斜面によって「V」字状の面を形成することを特徴とする請求項2又は4に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。
- 前記第1導光部及び前記第2導光部は、一体で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。
- 前記導光板は、前記第1導光部と前記第2導光部とを連結する連結部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。
- 前記第2導光部は、前記第1側面に平行な第3側面、前記第3側面から前記第1方向に離隔される第4側面、前記第1導光部の下面と前記第3側面を連結する第1連結面、及び前記第1連結面から前記第1方向に離隔され、前記第1導光部の下面と前記第4側面を連結する第2連結面を含み、
前記第1導光部の下面、第2導光部の第1及び第2連結面は、溝を形成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。 - 前記第1導光部は、第1サブ導光部及び前記第1サブ導光部と別途で形成された第2サブ導光部を含み、
前記第2導光部は前記第1サブ導光部下部に配置される第3サブ導光部及び前記第2サブ導光部の下部に配置される第4サブ導光部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。 - 前記第2導光部は、前記第1側面に平行な第3側面、前記第3側面から前記第1方向に離隔される第4側面、及び前記第3側面と前記第4側面とを連結する下面を含み、
前記下面は前記第3側面から延伸した第1傾斜面及び前記第4側面から延伸して前記第3側面と前記第4側面とを連結する第2傾斜面を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトアセンブリ。 - 第1側面及び前記第1側面と第1方向に離隔される第2側面を有する第1導光部、並びに、前記第1導光部の下部で前記第1側面と前記第2側面との間に配置される第2導光部を含む導光板と、前記第1導光部の下部及び前記第2導光部の側部に配置される光源と、を含むバックライトアセンブリと、
前記バックライトアセンブリ上に配置されて前記光を利用して画像を表示する表示パネルと、を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。
