Abstract

【課題】柔軟性を有し、被シール物をシールした後にも変形が残りにくいインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターを提供する。
【解決手段】被シール物のシール部を加熱することで溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーター11であって、複数の糸状の発熱体を編み上げてなる組紐である。発熱体は、直径が0.1〜0.5mmの金属線である。

Description

本発明は、被シール物のシール部を加熱することで溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターに関するものである。
第1押圧部と第2押圧部の間に被シール物を挟持・押圧し、ヒーターにより加熱することで被シール物のシール部を溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラーは、例えば、下記特許文献1に開示されている。ここで被シール物の材質は、厚さ0.2mm程度の樹脂フィルムであり、瞬間的にヒーターで加熱することでシール部を溶融させることができる。
上記インパルス式ヒートシーラーは、シール対象が薄厚の樹脂フィルムであるが、例えば1mm程度の厚みを有する被シール物をシールしたいという要望がある。大きな厚みを有する被シール物を上記ヒートシーラーでシールする様子を図7に示す。また、シール対象の被シール物を図6に示す。
図6に示すように、被シール物Aの上部にシール部Bが設定される。例えば、被シール物Aは袋状に形成されており、その上部に設けられた開口部を閉鎖するためにシール部Bをシールする。被シール物Aの内部には適宜の物が収容される。
図7(a)は、第1押圧部100と第2押圧部101でシール部Bを挟持する前の状態を示し、図7(b)は、第1押圧部100と第2押圧部101とでシール部Bを挟持した状態を示している。押圧部100,101の押圧面には、それぞれヒーターHが設けられている。これに通電することでヒーターHが発熱し、シール部Bが加熱により溶融する。被シール物Aは、例えば樹脂製であり、加熱することで溶融しシールすることができる。
大きな厚みを有する被シール物Aをシールしようとする場合、ヒーターHには、シール部Bに押圧された部分とそれ以外の部分とで段差Sが発生する。通常のヒーターHは、厚さ0.1〜0.2mm程度の金属製の平板形状のため、図7(c)のように、シール終了後にシール部Bの挟持状態を解除した後にも段差Sが残存してしまう。このような段差Sは、次の被シール物をシールする際、シール部を均一にシールできず、シール不良となることがある。
また、図8に示すような、端部にマチCのある袋状の被シール物A(いわゆるガゼット袋)の開口部を閉鎖するためにシールする場合、マチCの部分が他より特に厚くなるため、ヒーターHに柔軟性がないと、シール部Bの厚み変化に対応できず、マチCの近くC1、C2等でシール部Bを十分にシールできない場合がある。

本発明は、上記実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、柔軟性を有し、被シール物をシールした後にも変形が残りにくいインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターを提供することにある。
上記目的は、下記の如き本発明により達成できる。即ち、本発明に係るインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターは、被シール物のシール部を加熱することで溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターであって、複数の糸状の発熱体を編み上げてなる組紐であることを特徴とする。
かかる構成を有するインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターの作用効果を説明する。このヒーターが用いられるヒートシーラーはインパルス式であり、シール動作を行うときにのみヒーターを瞬間的に加熱してシール部を溶融させてシールする。ヒーターは、複数の糸状の発熱体を編み上げて(組み上げて)なる組紐であって、発熱体に通電することで発熱する。組紐は、従来公知の線状、板状等に形成されたヒーターに比べて変形の自由度を高くできるため、本発明のヒーターは、柔軟性を有し、被シール物をシールした後にも変形が残りにくい。
また、上記目的は、下記の如き本発明により達成できる。即ち、本発明に係るインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターは、被シール物のシール部を加熱することで溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターであって、糸状の発熱体からなる縦糸と横糸とで織られた織物であることを特徴とする。
かかる構成を有するインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターの作用効果を説明する。このヒーターが用いられるヒートシーラーはインパルス式であり、シール動作を行うときにのみヒーターを瞬間的に加熱してシール部を溶融させてシールする。ヒーターは、糸状の発熱体からなる縦糸と横糸で織られた織物であって、発熱体に通電することで発熱する。織物は、従来公知の線状、板状等に形成されたヒーターに比べて変形の自由度を高くできるため、本発明のヒーターは、柔軟性を有し、被シール物をシールした後にも変形が残りにくい。
上記において、前記発熱体は、直径が0.1〜0.5mmの金属線であることが好ましい。この構成によれば、発熱体を組紐又は織物にした際にも十分な柔軟性を有するヒーターを提供することができる。
上記において、前記発熱体は、複数のカーボン繊維を束ねたカーボン繊維束であることが好ましい。カーボン繊維はそれ自体が柔軟性を有するため、複数のカーボン繊維を束ねたカーボン繊維束を組紐又は織物にした際にも十分な柔軟性を有するヒーターを提供することができる。
上記において、前記組紐は、平打ち又は丸打ちの組紐であることが好ましい。平打ち又は丸打ちの組紐は、複数の糸状体を平板状又は円筒状に編み上げたものであり、柔軟性に富むため、十分な柔軟性を有するヒーターを提供することができる。

本発明に係るインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターの好適な実施形態を図面を用いて説明する。図1はヒーターの斜視図、図2はヒートシーラーの一例を示す側面図、図3はヒートシーラーの一例を示す平面図を示す。
<ヒートシーラーの構成>
このヒートシーラーは、下部枠2と上部枠3とから成るヒートシーラー本体1を設け、被シール物のシール部を受け止める受け台10(第1押圧部に相当)を下部枠2に支持させ、シール部を受け台10とで挟持する圧着レバー4(第2押圧部に相当)を、左右一対のアーム5を介して、左右横軸芯5a周りに揺動可能に上部枠3に支持させ、被シール物を載せるテーブル6を設けて構成してある。
圧着レバー4を戻しスプリング8で上方に揺動付勢してあり、この戻しスプリング8の付勢力に抗して圧着レバー4を下方に揺動駆動するソレノイド(図示せず)を下部枠2内に設けてある。
図4は押圧部として機能する受け台10と圧着レバー4の構成を示す断面図である。受け台10の表面には第1押圧面10a(載置面)が形成され、圧着レバー4の表面には第2押圧面4aが形成され、これら押圧面10a,4aにより被シール物を挟持・押圧(圧着)する。受け台10と圧着レバー4の側には、夫々第1ヒーター11、第2ヒーター12が設けられており、シール部Bに対応してライン状に形成される。各ヒーター11,12は、テフロン(登録商標)カバー(保護カバー)によりカバーされており、その表面が前述の押圧面10a,4aとして機能することになる。受け台10と圧着レバー4の先端は、シリコンゴム等の弾性材料で構成されており、押圧面10a,4aにより被シール物を圧着する際、被シール物の形状に沿うように弾性変形する。これに伴い、各ヒーター11,12も被シール物の形状に沿うように変形することができる。
<ヒーターの構成>
第1ヒーター11と第2ヒーター12は同一の構成であるため、ここでは第1ヒーター11について説明を行う。第1ヒーター11は、図1に示すように、ヒーター本体111と取付部112とで構成される。ヒーター本体111は、通電により発熱する。取付部112は、ヒーター本体111の両端部に設けられ、第1ヒーター11を受け台10にネジ等で固定するためのものである。なお、取付部112の形状は、取付箇所に応じて適宜設計される。
図5にヒーター本体111の詳細を示す。本実施形態のヒーター本体111は、複数の糸状の金属線111a(発熱体に相当する)を編み上げてなる組紐である。ヒーター本体111は、全体として帯状をしている。金属線111aは、公知のニクロム線等を用いることができる。金属線111aの断面は、例えば直径が0.1〜0.5mmの円形である。ヒーター本体111の厚さは、0.2〜1.0mmである。
組紐は、3本以上の糸状体を公知の組紐機(製紐機)を用いて編み上げられる。製紐方法としては、平打ち、丸打ち、角打ちなどが挙げられ、これらの製紐方法によって編み上げられた組紐は、それぞれ平打ち組紐、丸打ち組紐、角打ち組紐などと称される。本発明のヒーター本体111としては、複数の糸状の金属線111aを平板状又は円筒状に編み上げた平打ち又は丸打ちの組紐の形態が好ましい。図5は、平打ちの組紐の一例である。ヒーター本体111は、7〜23本の金属線111aで組むのが好ましく、それぞれの組紐の組角度は30〜60度が好ましいが、本数や組角度はこれに限定されず、ヒーターの用途に応じて適宜選択することができる。また、ヒーター本体111は、1〜10本の細い金属線を合糸した金属線111aを編み上げることもできる。また、紐幅、すなわちヒーター本体111の幅は、被シール物のシール部の幅に応じて決定されるが、好ましくは2〜30mmである。
<別実施形態>
ヒーター本体111は、糸状の発熱体からなる縦糸と横糸とで織られた織物であってもよい。織物の織り方としては、平織り、綾織り、朱子織り等が例示されるが、略一定厚みのヒーター本体111を比較的容易に作ることができるため平織りが特に好ましい。平織りは、縦糸と横糸を交互に浮き沈みさせて織られる織り方である。
組紐又は織物を構成する発熱体は、複数のカーボン繊維を束ねたカーボン繊維束でもよい。
前述の実施形態では、ヒーターを受け台10と圧着レバー4の双方に設けているが、いずれか一方のみに設けてもよい。また、前述のインパルス式ヒートシーラーは一例であって、本発明のヒーターは、種々のインパルス式ヒートシーラーに用いることができる。
前述の実施形態では、帯状のヒーター本体111を直線状に配置してヒーター11を使用する例を示したが、本発明に係るヒーター11は、3次元方向に柔軟性を有するため、様々な形態で使用することができる。例えば、帯状のヒーター本体111を図9のように平面内で円弧状に配置したり、円状に配置したりしてヒーター11を使用することもできる。このとき、ヒーター本体111は、テフロン(登録商標)カバー(保護カバー)によりカバーされる。さらに、本発明に係るヒーター11は、平面的な形状で使用するだけでなく、立体的な形状で使用することもできる。
ヒーター11を立体的な形状で使用する場合等、ヒーター11の形状を保持したい場合には、ポリイミド等の耐熱性樹脂で含浸させることもできる。

Claims (5)

  1. 被シール物のシール部を加熱することで溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターであって、
    複数の糸状の発熱体を編み上げてなる組紐であることを特徴とするヒーター。
  2. 被シール物のシール部を加熱することで溶融させてシールするインパルス式ヒートシーラー用のヒーターであって、
    糸状の発熱体からなる縦糸と横糸とで織られた織物であることを特徴とするヒーター。
  3. 前記発熱体は、直径が0.1〜0.5mmの金属線であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のヒーター。
  4. 前記発熱体は、複数のカーボン繊維を束ねたカーボン繊維束であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のヒーター。
  5. 前記組紐は、平打ち又は丸打ちの組紐であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のヒーター。
